This was my first time trying Porkys. The interior of the shop is tiny. They were very busy taking orders and answering the phone. I ordered carry out over the phone. My food was ready when I arrived. The pizza was good. Nothing out of the ordinary. The salad was very large. Four of us shared a large one. The light italian salad dressing was very good. We also got garlic Knotts and cinnamon Knotts. They were delicious! The icing was half filled and tiny. Definitely need more icing for the cinnamon knotts. The sides stole the show! Solid local business with some quality pizza! Something I really appreciated about Porky's was their affordable prices and the customer service they provided! I did a phone order for a Porky's Special and I requested that they took off two of the veggie toppings. The person helping on the phone then asked if I wanted to sub them out for any other toppings (veggie OR meat) for no extra charge?! UNHEARD OF. They had the option for parmesan crust so I opted for that too. The wait was about 40 minutes but well worth the wait! The pizza was hearty and packed with so many toppings! RUDE TO THE DELIVERY DRIVER Today, 6/29/23 at 11am, I went to this restaurant to get a order for Grubhub. When I arrived I asked if the order was done and the lady said 5 minutes. I said "5 minutes? But the Grubhub app shows that the food is ready to pick up" and the lady again said "5 minutes" Ok, I go back to my car and wait, 5 minutes later I go back to the restaurant again and when I got there a bald guy said "you're late. The pizza has been ready for 3 minutes" I said ok" I got the pizza and when I left that man said "Jack ass!" I went back and asked him why he was cussing at me and he said "It's because you asked about the time. You don't have to ask anything, we have our time" and started saying a bunch of bad words to me and finally said "You're old. I am a regular customer but now i have to look for a new pizza place somewhere else. I placed an order and even asked to check the order history for basis but still got the wrong order. And the manager is trying to imply that it was my fault even if i told the person multiple times my order. Addicted to their anti-pasta salad with blue cheese dressing. YUM. We each get the large and have half for dinner and the other half for lunch the next day. Pizza is GREAT as well. We also like the garlic knots. Not fans of the chicken wings - although they appear baked which I guess is good. We get half Hawaiian and Half Double Pepperoni. Porky's!!!!!!! I used to reside on 45th Way behind the Vons. That was about 25 yrs ago I think, because my son was one when we moved there. We ordered pizza and waited over an hour for it to be delivered. No notification or ring of the door bell, the driver delivered the pizza to my neighbors house and we never knew. Porky's said they will not do anything because it's on the delivery service we used for the food. So you're telling me I spend almost 70 dollars for pizza to never arrive and get cold outside without my knowledge. It's three because they are so inconsistent. I order a thin crust pizza. Sometimes it's super thin. Sometime thin-ish. Sometimes not very thin at all. And when they are busy the pizzas are less good. You're likely to get an undercooked pizza there. Especially when they're busy. We keep going back because my wife likes their regular crust cheese pizza. I used to work at a pizza place back in highschool and a simple brush of garlic butter and light sprinkle of herb seasoning and/or parmesan cheese cooked in a right way could elevate the food quality.
