Sitting outside for lunch was definitely the best part of the experience. If you are interested in coming here, definitely take advantage of the patio seating, as the views are just lovely. The menu serves up many American classics. I saw many people getting the burger, and it looked delish! Our waitress, Cindy, said they are known for their burgers and pizza. I, myself, was on the fence about the pasta, a sandwich or pizza. Since she suggested the pizza as being so popular, I went with the Hawaiian pizza. The menu says you can request it "inferno style" with fresh jalapenos, crushed red peppers and an "inferno sauce." My partner got the prime rib French dip with fries. The pizza sauce was good but not spicy. I don't know what the "inferno sauce" was or where it was.. but I didn't get any inferno. The majority of my pizza had one jalapeno slice on each piece. It was cubed ham rather than Canadian bacon slices. My partner had a piece of the pizza and agreed it was very average. I tried his French dip and the bottom part of the bread was completely soaked without it being dipped in anything yet. There wasn't very much cheese on the sandwich either. Fries had good texture but wayyy too salty. My partner also tried a piece of the pizza too. He asked me which do I like best out of the two meals we got... I said the sandwich, and he agreed it was better as well but not by much. I would personally say pizza was 5/10 and sandwich was 6/10. The food was just super mid and nothing memorable. The patio experience, on the other hand, was wonderful. Maybe the other food options are better, but what we got was just average. If you're coming for the nice view, it's a nice experience. This was a perfect spot to have dinner after a day of hiking. It shares a door and bathroom to an ice cream parlor and gift shop. You go left to get to Porters and it has diner vibes. Casual enough to be ok in sweaty, hiking clothes, has a good menu. The UT trout was cooked perfectly. The rice and veg accompaniment was flavored nicely. The salmon was a great addition to the salad. Such a great selection of food, and everything that came to the table was delicious! We sat on the patio for open-air dining. Hubby had the special buffalo sirloin and gave me a bite, it was cooked to perfection (medium rare as requested). I brought a group of 28 to Porters for dinner in September to kick off a weekend celebrating my 60th birthday. I emailed with the restaurant in advance, as they don't typically serve groups of this size, but Jake said since it was my big 6-0, he'd work with me. We sat at a long table on the outdoor patio - I had selected a single menu item (chicken sandwich) for everyone in advance to help with service. The entire Porter's team did an amazing job getting us seated and served. The drinks came out promptly and the food was delicious. Everyone had a great time, and after a last minute request, Jake even arranged for cookies for us all for dessert. Porters food, service and view of the red rocks makes it a great choice for a meal on any Zion visit. Highly recommend! read more

Things definitely close early in Springdale, granted we also went during what I assume is "off-season" so that could be a factor as well. Because everything closes relatively early though and we left Zion right at park close time, we had limited options, but were ravenous and didn't want to wait any longer or go any further for food. That's how we ended up at Porter's and it really hit the spot! The staff were so friendly and welcoming to us. Our waiter was so helpful and recommended different items on the menu to us based on what we were looking for. It made ordering very easy and the service was FAST as well, which was much appreciated. The food was super solid and really hit the spot after a long day of travel to and hikes in Zion and really nourished our exhausted bodies, which is exactly what we needed before we headed to our rental for the night! Porter's shares an entrance with the gift shop and ice cream shop, all within the same building, so once you enter, turn immediately to the left to head into Porter's. You know it was a good dinner when I don't take photos of the food and drinks LOL but we had a great meal here after a long day in the park! My husband and I walked here from our hotel and enjoyed patio seating for an early weekday dinner. Their strawberry margarita (with a rock sugar rim, not salt!) was pretty tasty, but the berry lemonade cocktail was the best--so refreshing and light. I could've had four of them! We were super impressed with the quesadilla appetizer: it was so delectably cheesy and crispy, and it came out piping hot with freshly made salsa on the side. That was an excellent starter! I ended up getting the personal pepperoni pizza and my husband got their spicy chicken sandwich (which he devoured). I liked the pizza but the sauce had large tomato chunks in it that kind of distracted me mid-bite, though I still ate almost all of it; the crust and cheese were superb. They do that stuff well here!! Their waitstaff is also so attentive and sweet; there was hardly any wait time between drinks and courses, and everyone was really friendly and helpful with menu questions. It was an easy dinner, and just under $100 for four alcoholic beverages, an appetizer, and two entrees. We were very satisfied. Guys -- I was so skeptical and glad that my family encouraged me to order my own dish instead of forcing a halfsie with another family member because let me tell ya: 11/10 folks!! Eleven out of Ten!!! I ordered the Brisket Stroganoff and the beef was so flavorful and tender with a yummy sauce that delivered happiness to my mouth. Service was perfect -- serving on New Year's Day, our waitress (Megan) was very welcoming and kind. Daniel took good care of us, too. Gonna try the Spicy Chicken Sandwich when we come back tomorrow. Started off with a tall glass of iced coffee and got to pour in enough sugar packets and half&half to my heart's content. Maybe it's the New Year's vibe...but nah. We ordered brisket stroganoff, their "oh we're famous for our ribs" and I had a strawberry daiquiri. Brisket by definition is supposed to be tender. The stroganoff was tasty but the chunks of "brisket" in it were rubbery and chewy. The daiquiri, they might've used about half a strawberry in it. The famous ribs were dry as the desert and covered in a bottle bbq sauce that was awful. Make an effort people! read more

We'd hiked several miles in Zion and were hungry and thirsty when we came into Porters for a late lunch/early dinner. We were seated quickly by a friendly host. It wasn't busy due to the time of day but it took several minutes for our waitress to come to our table. I don't recall her ever saying her name. And just left two glasses of water on our table and walked away before we could say a word. After waiting another 10-15 minutes I saw her at a nearby table. She left that table and disappeared again. I think the other staff members could see us looking around because one went to get her and she finally came back to our table. She wasn't friendly at all, never offered to tell us the specials and gave us two incorrect drinks after we ordered. We both ordered personal pizzas. Someone else delivered them. We saw her sitting at a table with other employees, eating and laughing. We didn't see her again until two other people were seated next to us. They both ordered well done steak and both came out rare. They flagged her down to tell her and she grabbed their plates without so much as an apology. I never tip less than 20% because I know how hard their job is and how little money they make but I did that day because of her attitude and poor service. This place was recommended by our hotel. The reviews said it was 4.3 or more. Yelp disagrees. I ordered a local seasonal draft that comes from Moab. It's an oatmeal stout and it is delicious. It is truly the coldest draft beer I have been poured in quite some time. The menu offers everything from steak, to sandwiches, to salad and pasta. I ordered a chicken blue sandwich. It is a fried chicken sandwich that comes with blue cheese crumbles, lettuce, tomato, and blue cheese dressing, and barbecue sauce. Also a side of french fries. My husband ordered the chicken fried chicken. It comes with mashed potatoes and broccolini. There are three other tables here at 5:30 in the evening on January 8, a very cold night. The atmosphere is quite surprising. You walk into a bakery/ice cream shop and turn left to come into a very small dining room. It has floral wallpaper on one side and the other two walls are bright orange with one blue accent wall. The floors are checkered black and white. The tables are black-and-white, farm tables and a black-and-white marble table for others. Some seats are white farm table, chairs with vinyl seats and against the wall, You can choose to sit in a bench that lines the entire room. The food arrived, and was quickly devoured. My chicken sandwich with blue cheese and barbecue sauce had a sweet, tangy sharp flavor. The chicken breast was enormous. The fries were crispy and hot. The chicken fried chicken was very good. Although not as much breading on the chicken, as there normally is, it was a chicken breast rather than one that was pounded and fried. The broccolini had butter and garlic, and was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were fine, but they seemed a bit sticky. Overall very impressed with the food. I think Yelp has underrated this food. Perhaps they came at a busy time in the summer, but we had excellent service by Jeni and the food was spectacular. I would most definitely come here again. I just wish it was more of a cozy mountain town feel rather than a diner. read more

Lunch after The Narrows on July 31, 2022. Hello, Porter's!! Their front entrance is conveniently located steps away from the Springdale Shuttle Stop #5. We were kinda hangry, so we dined-in with our hiking gear, which was a bit muddy from the river. Luckily, there's a clean public restroom at the entrance of the building to freshen up. The last time we dined at Porter's was back in October 2020...in its original condition...woody and just dark all around. Due to a fire back in November 2020, they've remodeled and the new building is modern, bright, airy, and a redesigned footprint. Despite the sad news of the fire, I'm glad to see they're still in business and the new look of the building is just very inviting! Upon entering is Bumbleberry's ice cream shop & bakery, a souvenir shop to the right, and Porter's is to the left. We thoroughly enjoyed an ice cold Sangria, Wedge Salad, Portobella Mushroom Burger, and American Bacon Burger - all fresh and delicious! Hit the spot!! The fries were perfectly crispy and hot, too. Service was outstanding! Definitely recommend to others and will definitely return after being out in the elements at ZNP!! read more

Porter's is part of the free breakfast that Bumblebee Inn offers with their room. I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. They offer a variety of meals for a very reasonable price. We had the homemade granola which had many types of fruit in it; the omelet with country potatoes and muffin; the biscuits and gravy with sausage and country potatoes which was very generous and filling. Porter's was exactly the place I needed to recover at after a long rewarding day of hiking at Zion. The outdoor space is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the beauty of the surrounding mountains. The service here is above and beyond. Even though the restaurant was busy, our friendly and funny server came by several times to check in on us and made sure that our water cups stayed filled. We had an amazing time at Porter's. After a full say of hiking we stopped here because of the view from the patio. We had an amazing waiter who was very helpful, giving his recommendations and being patient with us while we looked ofer the menu and relaxed. The shrimp pesto pasta was very good. My boyfriend got the trout and said it was delicious. The portions were large so we took home leftovers as well. It was my birthday on our visit and they sang to me, which was very sweet. We ate here on the way out of Zion. I would've rather saved my money and got Subway and ate outside. To call this a pizza place is a total joke. The pizza is FROZEN pizza. I wish I knew that before I ordered. The only thing fair was the sandwich we ordered. The rest of the food was garbage and insanely overpriced. Frozen pizza for $18 is just absurd. The cheese was still hard and cold when our order arrived. And it was layered. They have frozen cheese pizzas and then just put your toppings on top of the cheese pizzas and then cook it with more terrible cheese on it. They should really take pizza out of their name. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the gal helping us was nice. I feel bad for this terrible review, but people should be aware of this before eating here. read more

Wonderful service. They were very accommodating to add ham to the Popeye Omelet which I ordered. It was one of the best omelets I've had.
