I do not reccomend this location. The owner owns 2 more in Hillcrest. Horrible customer service. They recently started price gouging their customer by charging 1 dollar per package delivered to you. No notice sent out. I walked in and was told if I want to get my package I would have to pay the fee. I have had checks sent back because they did not recognize my name. You will be constantly harassed to up grade to expensive services. They are rude and don't care about their customers. I should have gotten my box at USPS down the street in the very beginning. What postal place charges you to have your package sent to you. That's the whole point of having a address with them. I want to have my packages sent there to stop people from stealing them from my front porch. Bosco, the owner is just hiking prices and pushing expensive shit to his customer and blaming the price increase on Covid. Lol really???? I have been going to this Postal Annex for 3 years as it is 1/2 mile away from where i live. Normally when I go in, Bosco is behind the counter and he is such a nice guy. Super warm and friendly and of course helpful. Not sure what changed, but about 6 mos or so ago, they started charging $1.00 to tape boxes, which at first upset me as I didn't bring any cash, so I had to go to an ATM to sort that out. But i got over it and was better prepared in the future. Today I went in and was treated horribly by the staff. The lady behind the counter told me that to put a t-shirt and a wrapped pint glass in a box was $13.00! That was their "labor charge." Didn't really tell me what was involved in that process. Was the peanuts to be used organic? Made by the finest Styrofoam that money could buy? I said, "I am sorry but that is a bit exorbitant in my opinion" to which she replied "Nothing is for free." WOW. So I bought two boxes and told them thanks and that I was going to UPS from now on. A customer then called me "rude" and proceeded to berate me in the parking lot. So I am sorry Bosco....we are breaking up. I am going to now go 2+ miles out of my way to send out packages. Cause if your company is going to nickel and dime me and charge me $13.00 to pack a box and I have two boxes, I could use that $26.00 on better things, like beer. And it really hurts me to have to say that. read more

Be aware, when you sign up and pay. They have a non-refundable policy so the soon you walk out the door, they have you hocked. I signed up and realized my partner already signed up for one and now I am $350 short for a mailbox I will never use. They also dont give you a copy of the contract you signed, so you need to read through all the pages before you sign, still dont know if the cancellation policy was listed in the documents. I was so completely satisfied with the service at this Postal Annex that as a gesture of my appreciation, I'm giving them a five star rating (I usually don't post anything other than restaurant reviews)! The other day, I went in with a high valued item to ship; they helped me with the packaging, as well as to determine the best shipping method (based on several factors such as insurance, a signature at the destination, etc.). I was worried about shipping the item because of it's value, but had peace of mind after seeing the steps they go through to ensure that I'm protected in case the package is lost or stolen... they even welcomed me to watch them as they took pictures for insurance purposes. We live in Mexico so we needed a stateside mail box. After some research, we happened on Bosco's PostalAnnex. Prices fit, the location was perfect, and the staff was exceptional. I also needed to renew my passport and Bocso initiated the process helping us fill out all the necessary paperwork and getting it sent off. We needed the passport in Mexico so via email with Nikki we were able to DHL it to La Paz. Nikki had input all the information I had sent via email. The guy there is not the brightest lightbulb in the package. I wanted to send a box to Canada he says my computer doesn't recognize the zip code well I have mailed things there over 100 times even called my son in Canada and had him send me a pic of a letter and he said he can't send it, how does a postal center not know how to send a package. He keeps saying I send things overseas all the time, first clue, Canada is not overseas and secondly your dumb. Too bad I had to give I have to give one star. I just stopped in here last weekend to buy stamps. I was kind of in the middle of a move and so I was in more of a stressed state of mind. So I stood there as the minutes ticked by as the guy notarized some documents for the person in front of me. Wanted to leave, but I was like no, I really need to buy stamps. What made me turn and walk out of the store was when someone who came in AFTER me asked the cashier a question about something, and then the cashier was like oh, is that all you're doing let me ring you up. Ummmm, all I'm doing is buying stamps, which you would know if you had acknowledged me in any way. Cannot recommend. Neither of us had ever had to get anything notarized in the past, so we weren't sure how it worked. It was simple and to the point. Where I'm from (Florida) there are no Postal Annex's, so I would have never went to this store, had I not needed fingerprinting done. The two working that day were incredibly nice and the fingerprinting went by so quickly one we got started. The only problem was that the live scan machine wasn't working at the beginning, so it was a delay, but I had nowhere to be at the time. ISSUE RESOLVED REGARDING REFUND. THE OWNER REFUNDED MY MONEY THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY. THANK YOU. WARNING! DO NOT BUY THE DISPOSABLE MASKS THAT THEY ARE SELLING (10 pack / $21.99). I went there to have some copies made, saw the masks and purchased a box on 5/09/2020. When I got home I noticed that the box stated 'Made in China' with a 'PRODUCTION' Date (manufactured date) of 5/25/2020 and an Expiration Date of 5/24/2022. I PURCHASED THE MASKS ON 5/09/2020 so the production/manufactured date on the box DOES NOT ADD UP and was apparently bogus. WHO KNOWS WHERE THESE MASKS REALLY CAME FROM (what part of China) OR WORSE, WHEN THEY WERE PRODUCED. With misinformation like this, in the new world that we now live in, these masks could be reeking of COVID (from China), how would we know seeing as how there are bogus dates on the boxes. So, I immediately went back to the store, explained the problem and demanded a refund. I was shocked when the woman behind the counter argued with me and repeatedly stated that they could not refund my money (despite the fact that the packaging makes misleading, deceitful, and potentially harmful statements). I finally received a 'refund' after the woman behind the counter called the owner and I threatened to take this further legally in the best interest of the people who may be considering purchasing these masks, but when I got home I checked my debit card account only to find that they had in fact CHARGED MY BANK ACCOUNT AGAIN instead of reversing the charges. I looked at the receipt that the woman had given to me and it didn't reference my name or card number anywhere on it, it appeared to be a receipt for a cash refund not a credit to my bank account. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES, my bank account was now charged $47.50 for a box of 10 disposable creepy masks that I do not even have!!!! Regretfully, I did not closely check the receipt while in the store, I quickly looked at the -$23.75 and thought the transaction looked okay. I really didn't realize when I took the receipt from her that they could possibly be this ridiculously stupid and/or fraudulent. The bottom line, fdeceitful product, deceitful receipts, and taking advantage of the general public in these times, is NOT the way to run a business. What a waste of my time that I will now have to followup with this on Monday to get this whole mess straightened out with my bank and this creepy business! NO EXCUSES FOR THIS PLACE, STAY AWAY....AND DON'T BUY THEIR MASKS!!!! Please retailer, be responsible and take those items off of your shelf, and be accurate and truthful in your refunds. It's convenient, definitely. Though more expensive than going to the post office. A Family member works at the p.o and told me these places over charge bc they can, they aren't associated with govt mail. So when they charge 12 $ for a book of stamps its only 9 $ at the p.o. or when I mailed a package today for 27 $ I find out it would have been half that had I gone to the actual post office. Grrrr. What we pay for convenience. .....it is a cute place with little magnents, post cards, calenders and some greeting cards, pens, calculators all of those office supplies (cheaper at walmart, but again, convenience) and what I like most, it has a drop off box for mail. I send all my cards here. So if your looking for a quick way to mail something, and dont mind paying more than you should, yeah come here. Lines are most likely shorter than the p.o and it may be closer to you, but next time ill take my $ to the p.o and not pay someone extra bc they feel like ripping you off. Times are hard, spend a little extra time going to the p.o, your also helping them out. People like my family member are at risk of losing jobs bc of places like the postal annex. read more
