For the notary, they were careful and detail-oriented. When it came to my baby's passport photo, they initially suggested taking the photo at home since it can be easier for babies. However, when I arrived, they were more than willing to try taking the photo there--and my baby did just fine. The photo was printed within about ten minutes and it cost $18.31 for two copies of 2x2. This price is reasonable compared to other places. The staff member who helped us was very kind and patient with both me and my baby. I also noticed they assist with TSA PreCheck processing, which is super convenient. The location is clean, the staff are helpful, and I highly recommend Postal Annex for notary services, passports, and shipping needs.

I had heard that PostalAnnex specialized in multiple sizes passport and visa photos (Postal Annex came recommended to me for Chinese Visas - you can even pay them to fill out and submit the application for you! But I opted to do it myself but I still needed the photo). I called just to make sure and they told me they indeed do passport and visa photos (including for China) and when I asked if I needed to make an appointment - they said "no you can just show up anytime during opening hours but it's good to come at least 15 minutes before closing because the whole process takes about 15 minutes) When I showed up there was plenty of parking (it is located on the intersection of Culver and Irvine Center Drive in the main shopping center across from the McDonalds. There was also a sign on the window advertising that they do photos and the Chinese Visas so that was a good sign. The man who took my photo was very nice and knowledgeable - I liked that he seemed very experienced and had done a ton of these before. I also liked how he showed me my photo to make sure I liked it for final approval before he just printed it. You give them your email address for the digital copy and then you also get 2 printed photos for $24.99 which came to about $26 after tax. I just waited in the store (they have 3 chairs you can wait in and have a fridge with drinks to purchase too - or you can walk around the center while you wait). The woman Amrit who works there was also very reassuring and friendly and super helpful as was the man (whose name I didn't get). I chose this location because the other Postal Annex has received some negative Yelp reviews for unfriendly service but at this location (15333 Culver Dr) the service was OUTSTANDING and I will be coming here for all my future passport and visa photo needs! (They also do mailing, have mailboxes, etc.)

Since the new owner took over, the level of professionalism and reliability has changed dramatically. My last three visits in November were all problematic. On one morning, the owner arrived about eight minutes late, and another customer was waiting with me. On the other two mornings, I arrived at 9:00 AM (their posted opening time) and the store was still closed at around 9:12 AM. I never saw the owner arrive on those days, and I eventually had to leave because I couldn't wait indefinitely. I have photos documenting these late openings. These late openings were not isolated mistakes. They formed a clear pattern over multiple visits. After failing to pick up my mail during these three visits, I stopped going in person because I could no longer trust that the business would open at its posted hours. Because of these repeated delays, I asked the new owner to confirm a 9 AM pickup time for my remaining mail. I wasn't asking for anything outside their posted business hours. I even gave a wide range of possible days. Despite that, my messages were ignored for two full business days, even though I replied within a couple of hours during their business hours. When I finally received a response, it was a single word "Monday" with no apology, no explanation, and no acknowledgment of the previous delays or missed openings. The communication was consistently cold, minimal, and unprofessional. Update: I went in on 1/26/2026 to pick up my remaining mail. The owner arrived at 8:58 AM, and I was finally able to collect everything. I asked for a one‑month refund because I was unable to access my mailbox on two separate mornings in November. I waited until around 9:10-9:12 AM both times, and the store never opened while I was there. When I requested a refund, the owner responded by saying, "I called you," even though I never spoke with her. Regardless of whether she called, the issue was that I physically showed up during posted business hours and could not access the mailbox I was paying for. The time I lost waiting outside cannot be recovered, and her response showed no understanding of that point. This experience is completely different from the reliable service I received for years under the previous owners. After 8-9 years as a customer, I ultimately decided to cancel my account because the service under the new ownership no longer meets basic expectations. Everything in this review is based on my actual experience, with photos and message timestamps to support it. I also want to note that the current 4.6 rating on Yelp was built over many years by the previous owners, George and Kay, who were consistently reliable and professional. My recent experience reflects the new ownership, not the service that earned those earlier reviews.

So if you're new here, like me, don't expect good, welcoming and friendly service. When it was my turn I said hello to the associate, gave her my package and she scanned my phone, and gave me my receipt. Then it was my boyfriend's turn after. He said, "Hello, sorry I have a lot." She didn't say anything, no hello, no it's okay, how can I help, NOTHING....First sign of rudeness and bad customer service. If someone doesn't greet me, that's already a big no no & red flag. She starts scanning the codes and taking the packages, all this while she looks annoyed, like we're bothering her. After a few scans she tells him, "can you turn up your brightness." But with attitude. Once he noticed there were 2 people in line he told her that was it and we ended up going to the kiosk to do it ourselves. While we're at the kiosk when people would come in she would say, "Welcome." But not in a friendly way or ready to help. An older lady came in, went to the counter, said hello and tried to make small talk with the associate. The associate didn't greet her or go along with the small talk. No smile, nothing. I felt bad for the lady. Then other people start coming in and all of a sudden her attitude changes. She starts greeting them by name, asking how they're doing and being all nice. The other associate in the back also comes to the counter and starts small talk with one of those customers. I was like, wow. So now you know, if you come in here, just get straight to business, don't expect friendliness and good customer service....unless you are a regular & they know you. Unfortunately, this one is about 4 min from where I live, but won't be coming here anymore. Don't want to go somewhere where I feel like I'm bothering them and feel rushed. I'll drive the extra 5 min to the Woodburry location. Nicer, cleaner and better customer service.

I needed a 8ftx6ft birthday backdrop to be done in two days. I submitted a project quote here on Yelp and I had several responses from other printing shops including RedDot Printing. I was told my backdrop couldn't be done in two days, I was told that my image's resolution was too small, and other printing shops never responded. Z from RedDot Printing responds within minutes. He told me the same thing about my backdrop's resolution being to low for a huge printout, but what set him apart was that he took the time send me an email on how fix it so that he can print it. Once I fixed the image with his advice he said, "I can get that done in two days." and he delivered! I placed the order midday on a Wednesday and it was ready for pickup by 2:00PM on Friday. Pick up was seamless. He knew exactly who I was without introducing myself, he was friendly, full of personality, and so sweet. He unrolled the backdrop to show me his work and it was PERFECT! His price was cheaper than I imagined especially since this was a last minute request. I knew that I placed this order last minute and I knew I was an amateur with the design, but Z made my vision into reality. Z, thank you so much for everything. Your work is impeccable! You stood out from everyone else and I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with you.
