Food was good but doesn't make up for the horrible service. Jada, the girl who called herself our server, was terrible to say the least! She took our order and never came back again until we had to wave her down for the check. When she finally brought over our check, she dropped it on the table and said nothing else. I've known Postinos for a long time. I know the owner who started this chain. Generally have had pretty good luck with their food. That seem to have run out tonight. I stopped by to pick up a sandwich and a salad after I got done with my two hours at the gym. Take a look at that picture of the lettuce in the side salad that accompanied my sandwich. I didn't notice that after it already taken a bite I was so hungry. Hope I don't get sick tonight while I'm sleeping. I am very impressed with this place. The Monday and Tuesday bottle and board for $25 is an amazing idea, and they were packed with people. Great selection of beers as well. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was very attentive and even had some good beer suggestions to try. read more

I visited Postino South Tempe with a larger group on March 22nd. We were celebrating my fiancé's birthday. I unfortunately feel disappointed with our experience. I know serving a group of 8 on a busy night could be difficult, but it felt like we were actively being ignored, our requests were constantly forgotten, and we received snide remarks. When we asked about a request that had been forgotten for 20 minutes we received a "Can't you see we are busy" in return. It took another 15 just to get one box to leave. Overall it made us want to get out faster and gave a not great vibe to our celebratory dinner. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to eat at Postino, they go to the Gilbert location. Even on a busy night we received way better service there. read more

Postinos has been our staple for few years. The food has been consistent and service has been good. However, today was a very odd experience. Firstly in span of 2 hours(our visit) we were served by 5-6 servers. When we walked in, we requested to sit out but the person in front just placed us inside without providing explanation why till I asked to which he said it's reserved. Reserved at 2pm ??? Then we were served water and the servers disappeared, then a random server showed up stating I will be your server as yours is leaving for the day. Then we got placed outside and a new server took our order, then anotherserver got our food, then another server came to check on us if needed something. We paid the bill to another random server who told us it's a community service .. all servers are expected to assist all clients.. It also felt that they were ready for us to leave.. My second outing post vaccination, was my birthday lunch with a good friend at Postino! Yay! We arrived at about 11:30 on a Friday afternoon and were seating promptly. The patio was full, but the dining room had plenty of space so we were seated there. All the doors were open and it was a perfect spring day. I felt completely safe and all servers and workers were wearing masks. I was surprised to learn that there were not menus. Patrons took a picture of a QR code with their phones and the menu pops up. What a great way to not have to clean menus and spread germs. (Menus are known to be highly germ ridden in the past.) I LOVED this. GREAT MOVE POSTINO! We ordered the bruschetta board and selected 5, or is it 6 options. It doesn't matter what you pick because it is all just yummy. It is pretty filling for two people. We ate and chatted and didn't feel rushed at all. When we awoke from our chat fest, I realized the dining room was full. When we left, people were waiting outside for a table. Lesson learned: keep getting there early to beat the lunch crowd! Service was great, prices are as expected for a spot that serves delicious food and drink. So glad they are now in my neighborhood. It was our first time here, we travel from Canada a few times out of the year. Lizzie was our server and she was amazing! she had great recommendations and we loved chatting with her! We had a 30-35 minute wait around 7pm on a Friday night. The inside decor looks nice, modern, but casual. The server was nice. She had blue highlights, tattoos, short, and took our orders correctly, courteously, helped make selections, etc. The food took a little while, but not too long to complain about. I especially liked the one with bacon, diced tomatoes, etc..... and the one with a fig spread and a thin slice of green apple on top. The panini was also very good. Just enough turkey, but not over whelming. The sauce had a slight tinge of spiciness. Not too spicy, but you can taste it. I like mild, but I could handle it. This location was as good as the Gilbert location. When arriving here, we thought this was an interesting place to put a Postino's, but we were wrong. The outside is beautiful!!! A lot of different places to sit outside and socially distanced very well. I would recommend if you get a group of 6-10, reserve a section outside by the fireplace. The bar area is also very cute as it has about 6 seats outside. The food is amazing! Always love splitting the bruschetta- I love the warm artichoke spread, while my girl enjoys the fresh mozzarella tomato and basil. We also love to split the turkey panini that includes a house pesto. Finally, we ended with a creme brulee dessert. With a few raspberries on the side, this was a tremendous way to end our meal. We arrived around 6:00 on a Wednesday night and didn't have to wait. The place was packed and people lined down the sidewalk by 8:00. I'm convinced our neighborhood property value just doubled with the infamous Postino's just on the corner of Warner and Rural! Their complete remodel is stunning from the amazing decor to the multi color chandeliers to the black and white tiled bathrooms. Inside outside seating with bar all around and the same amazing food, beer and wine selections. Staff was hustling and doing their teamwork as they always do.
