The cashier Edward was such a great help. He was smiling which is very important for me as a customer. He was very polite and knew exactly how to sell the products at this location. I asked for a simple jumbo original and ended up leaving with a full combo that was fresh and delicious. He got my order out in almost no time at all!!! The store did look a little busy but he was very enthusiastic the whole time chatting with me and other customers while by himself. I see this place every time I go to the mall and have always wanted to try it out. I'm a lover of all things potato, especially fries and tater tots. I ordered there tots and chicken tenders since I absolutely love these delicious fried delicacies and found it very disappointing. The tenders were okay but the tots weren't enjoyable. They were crispy on the outside but they were all stuck together and most of them were already broken apart and clustered. When I tried to pick up one of the few whole tots, it broke apart because they were almost "glued" together. That made it so much more difficult to enjoy it. The taste was fine but it just was not as enjoyable. I might as well have lifted hash browns instead of tots. I'd give out a try at another location but I did not enjoy it at this one. read more

Customer services is very good here. I stopped by Thursday evening and 2 young men gladly serve me. They let me sample different seasonings for my fries. I've had the fries at Potato Corner at other malls but decided to stop by here since they just opened up. The staff is young but very friendly which is always nice to see. The different seasonings and dips make this a great snack to walk around in at the mall. It's priced fairly and if you get the "giga," you'll get enough to share. I ordered the tater tots but I asked for light seasoning since I love tater tot taste which is hard to find in general when it's not breakfast. We also got a baked potato with sour cream and chives. It's a full size potato which I didn't expect. Last but not least I had the fried chicken for the first time and couldn't get enough of it!! My mom and I were killing time at the mall a couple Sunday's ago and we decided to try out Potato Corner. I had the Chilli BBQ fries and my mom had the Cheddar Sweet Potato Fries. We both loved our fries (and will be back for more), but I want to talk about how awesome the guy that helped us was... according to our receipt his name is Juan. First of all, he was by himself running the stand (on a Sunday, during a holiday weekend), but it seemed that he only had 1 of the 2 machines to use to cook orders. He was very attentive/friendly to customers and very professional. While he waited for orders to cook, he prepared samples to help reel in more customers. He even apologized to us since it took a few minutes to get our complete order (even though we could see he was obviously working as quickly as the machines would let him). After the rush of customers cleared, he asked us how we liked our fries and even gave us a sample of a coupe other flavors. I really appreciated his hard work and customer service, it was a breath of fresh air. p.s. I wouldn't recommend that the manager only schedule 1 employee on a Sunday during a holiday weekend, but if it had to be only 1 guy, you know Juan could handle it. p.p.s. to the manager, 2 out of the 3 stools next to the counter are broken and should be replaced so no one gets hurt. read more

To play off the name, my reaction to this Potato Corner is "cutting corners." They dump pre-cut frozen potatoes into the fryer. The flavorings taste completely fake, and likely loaded with sodium, MSG, and artificial flavors/colors. I'm not expecting health food at a fry stand, but the overall quality of the ingredients is on the low end of the spectrum. My order of parmesan garlic fries took far too long (close to 10 minutes), defeating the concept of fast food. Although crispy on the outside, they lacked the "golden brown" color and were a bit mealy on the inside. I think this is due to their potatoes being cooked from frozen. All things considered this place was OKAY, but not good enough for me to return. It's a great concept lacking in execution. read more

My mom and I ordered the Mega sized regular style and boy did they go great with our Five Guys Burgers. The french fries were hot, fresh, crisp, and flavorful. I think these just may be my new favorite flavored fries. Their slogan happens to be "World's Best Flavored Fries" and I can't disagree. I wanted to give this store 3 stars because my kids love the food but I can't because I am disturbed by the lack of cleanliness I witnessed. We were there three days ago, Tuesday 12/26. Upon ordering and typing in my rewards number, I commented to a man whom I believe was the manager, that the kiosk where you input your number was filthy. Instead of simply wiping down the face of the kiosk, he chose to shared with me that I was only the third person to touch it. Why not just clean the thing instead of getting defensive? I then almost slipped as I went to wait for our order because the floor in front of the counter was greasy and filled with smashed fries. I finally looked behind the counter because after those two incidents, I was curious. There was food and trash all over the floor as well as food all over the prep area and under the fryers. It was very unsanitary. There were three people working at the time. As a manager, it would have made since to have one person take five minutes to sweep the floor and wipe down the prep area. I hate to disappoint the kids but I doubt if we'll return. read more

I'd never heard of Potato Corner before I visited the mall this weekend. There was a girl outside the stand giving out samples. Many people were joining the line after trying the fries so I decided to try some and my waistline will regret it. They were sooo good that my kids begged me to buy some.I got a Giga (the biggest size) bbq original cut fries to share. The staff was friendly and they served me as fast as they could but there was four or five minute wait. Even though there was a line behind me, the cashier still helped me decide what to order. It's certainly my favorite place in California to get great fries or tater tots or wings for cheap! The wait is never too long and the food always comes out fresh, they are honest to a fault and recommend other alternative spaces in the mall, which is a little strange but hey: to each their own. The customer service is good and the flavors are plentiful. The food is good and the wait is around a medium length, but so worth it for the fries! I would recommend it if you're looking for some nice deep fried snacks to munch on, but be careful with the wings, they use the same powder as the fries (Which is not bad, but an important thing to note), which means you really ought to get a drink. I will gladly head here whenever I feel hungry for fries or whatnot at the Westfeild mall. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I give it 5 stars.
