Very nice folks here. First time trying this place. What a delicious sandwich. Got the large Italian to split, classic style, added hot peppers. Added bbq chips and salt and vinegar. Great bread on that sandwich. Makes a mockery of subway's bread. I did think the hot peppers were quite a bit hotter than I thought they would be. Was thinking "Pepperoncini" . I was so wrong. This place is wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a big wreck with the works, and a bowl if chili Mac. The sandwich was great, full of delicious flavor. The hot peppers gave it a good kick! The chili Mac helped cool the spice, honestly. I loved the vibe of an old pub. Wish I got to eat in, but we had places to go, definitely glad we came here though. I ordered online for pick up. My order said it's be ready at 11:08. My coworker offers to pick it up and goes around 11:15. I work for the city so we are pretty close to this location. Probably a 10min walk enough time for them to have my order ready. The staff claimed they were getting my order ready in which my coworker texted me they are just now making it. I look on the app to find my order was already ready for pick up. My coworker asked twice about my order when they were putting up mobile orders that were ready just to be told it's not ready yet by the same cashier. Finally a new cashier comes and my coworker asks a third time in which the cashier says oh yeah it's right here pull out my order from the very top of the shelf. IT WAS READY THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS WAITING! Service is terrible and sandwich's aren't that great to be dealing with this anyways. I'll stick to Jimmy John's! read more

***UPDATE***Even worse, I was told the charge was credited back. It was not, and I have now had to dispute the charge through my bank. What a cluster today. Placed an online order for pick up and was given a pick up time of 12 pm. I walked in to find about 20 people waiting for pick up. Counter staff would help multiple people in line while ignoring those waiting for pick up. After waiting just over an hour, they started filling on line orders placed by people who came in later and didn't want to stand in line. I left with no food but returned later to assure my charge was reversed. Never received that confirmation and was told twice that no one waited an hour, though I stated twice that I did. First time using this location and will be last time. Ive been eating at Potbelly since I moved here ( Camelback Biltmore location). Ive never experienced anything, but amazing service. Also , if I'm at work we order from the Camelback one. This time we decided to use this location (work at a hospital and we spend a lot at Potbelly). We ordered and paid online. One of my co workers went and picked it up. Wasn't that easy though. When he arrived he stated he was there to pick up an order (he wasn't sure which name it was under) and he said he clearly saw the order sitting there (even told the manager he could clearly see the order). He had the print out showing we paid and what we ordered , but they refused to give him the order. This went on for awhile as they told him he had the wrong location , there was no order etc etc etc. Long story short he said he felt discriminated against as he was the only black person in the establishment, from talking with him and also I called and spoke with the manager I came to the same conclusion. When speaking with the manager she could not give me a logical reason for the BS he had to go thru to get our lunch. The sandwiches no longer were fresh as they usually are. We will no longer be visiting this location ever again ! There should of been no reason for the delay especially since he had the print out showing everything and he also called and got the correct name on the order. This particular location needs some training and better customer service. There were also a guy that worked there that was agreeing with the manager. Unfortunately I don't remember the names he told me , because they weren't worth remembering. If you wan't amazing service check out their Camelback location, because this one ain't it! read more

Can't figure out why this place has 4 stars, maybe the price, because the food is mediocre at best. I'll preface this with, I've eaten at several potbellies and I'm not a big potbelly fan in general, so if you like other potbellies, you'll be fine. This potbelly is very convenient to my office and definitely the cheapest place for lunch around, so I've returned several times. I've been surprised a few times. One visit, the tomatoes in my blt were literally frozen. Ice tomatoes. One visit my salad had the stump of a head of lettuce. I work at a bank located right above this shop, so I'm there about once a week. Staff are always friendly and service is usually quick. The sandwiches are GREAT; although I'd say the pizza sandwich and the cookies are about average. Personal favorite is the turkey and most recently the roast beef with the blue cheese. Flat-out delicious. Only possible negatives are that they can be really-really busy around Noon (they're downtown, right...) so sometimes I'll pass due to the wait. -And that's no insult, they're busy because they are popular. Right... Also; they are mid-range as to price. I'm fine with that, and I think it's actually a positive given their excellent quality. But, no, this is not the low cost, cheap ingredient type of shop. Really good quality at a mid-range price, always friendly/quick service; yeah, I'll jump on that. In total; really nice sandwich place. The Emps are always nice and service is almost always really fast. Food is great; and even their soup's and chili are pretty good. Same with the pizza sandwich and the cookies. Certainly good. The double turkey or double steakhouse beef with a tad bit 'o cheese ? Awesome. Glad to see they added the tipping option on their debit/credit card deal. I'm OK with tipping 10% if the Emps are cool and fast; which they are. Personally.... Well... I somewhat wish a 5% option were available for fastfood places; but here ? When I came into town, my hubbs said we absolutely had to try Potbelly's because this was a rave from all his coworkers. It was the Thursday before superbowl so it was busy, but definitely not jampacked on the streets yet. We were able to get in line quickly and find a table for us. I didn't realize how quickly we'd move through the line and I hate being that person holding up said line so I made a quick gesture towards their pizza sandwich with easy sauce. He got some sort of Italian sandwich with 2x meat. In addition, we got an oreo shake and a cup of their baked potato soup. I liked his sammy much more than I did mine, and I typically don't gravitate towards Italian subs. Mine was just OK, nothing that I would venture to eat again. The soup wasn't memorable either but at least the shake was pretty good. It wasn't on par with the oreo shakes at whichwich but then again, that's not surprising. Overall, not a bad lunch spot, and wouldn't mind trying it another time. read more

Nice sandwich and even with a long line at the lunch hour, the service was efficient and the servers were kind and thoughtful. The line works similar to a line at Chipotle with order primary and go down the line for ingredient adds. I got the Mediterranean sandwich and my friend got the Chicken Avocado. read more

Potbelly offers all the favorites, turkey, ham, meatball, italian mixed, chicken and cheddar, tuna, chicken salad, and my favorite "the wreck". All of the breads at Potbelly are made fresh daily and you can tell with your first bite. The bread and deli meats were absolutely delicious, Potbelly also serves chili, soups, shakes and smoothies. Potbelly aslo serves "skinny" sandwiches with less meat for those watching their calorie intake. The staff is friendly and accommodating and will offer suggestions if you like. This place looked to the best sandwich spot in the walking area so I stopped by. The menu has a few options for basic sandwiches and I went with A Wreck as it looked most unique from the others. Ordering is as easy as ordering through the assembly line at Quizinos: get in line, choose your sandwich, they drop it on the oven belt, then choose your toppings and you're done. About the flavor and taste, it seemed fairly standard. Not a single bite where I was blown away, so I went with a 3-star rating. Omg I love love love this place! Are used to go to potbellies when I lived in Madison and I was ecstatic when I finally brought it to Phoenix. I always get a Wreck sandwich with everything on it including the hot pickles. It is amazing! It's basically a hot toasted sub sandwich which includes salami, oven roasted turkey breast, hickory smoked ham, melted cheese ( I get all 3 kinds), mayo, mustard, hot pickle, lettuce, onion, oil, Italian seasoning on whatever bread you choose- I get white. There is also a "skinny" option which is slightly less bread. The sandwich is huge and can be easily divided to eat for latter. The cookies are also very very delicious. read more

My first order from here I ordered delivery to be delivered at 2 which I ordered at 11am. So I call, the evening crew states " oh the morning crew forgot about you idk what happened" so I had to pick up my order there wasn't even an apology so I was charged delivery and tip to pick up my own order. So I tried to this second time 10/31 my order was to be delivered at 11:25 and it's 11:45 I don't get a call or text to let me know they are going to be late or if I have to pick up my own food, so I guess this is the second time I get screwed. I stopped by here when rushing between meetings to get a new passport snap, and needed also to grab lunch while out. The employees were super helpful and quick to prepare my sandwich; in fact, one employee was working the line with a wireless "order-taker." You first choose your sandwich and bread, then move on to the assembly line of workers who pile on your extras like mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, oil 'n' vinegar, Italian seasonings, onions, etc. Chips and sodas are available, and a few sweet treats. It also appeared that they make shakes. The menu seemed a bit sparse. The sandwich was delicious, but the menu, as compared to a Firehouse or Subway, seemed quite a bit smaller.
