This is bittersweet to write, I used to love coming here... One star is being too nice for the terrible service I recieved. They are unfriendly and unprofessional. I ordered a combo and asked for vegan terriyaki chicken with fried rice and recieved real chicken instead when I had asked the blonde cashier twice and she even wrote it down and I recieved real chicken. They blamed it on the "masks" that she couldn't hear me well. SHE WROTE IT DOWN and I confirmed twice. I had left home and I tasted that it was real chicken. I went back and to seek a replacement to which I didn't get, they said that veganized combo bowls cost extra, and that I would have to pay if I wanted it replaced. I was never told that when I confirmed twice with the cashier when I had asked "Is that combo special (for $8) still going on? She said "yes" and I asked if it's for veganized options too and she said, "yes". For a mistake that they made, they should've replaced my order and been nice about it but instead they wanted to argue, and that's what went down. I got my money back and the guy from the back came out to curse me out as well to leave. Done. This establishment is unprofessional and unfriendly. This place is not worth the "Lizzo" hype. I've been following Pots 'N Woks on Instagram for a long time, anxious to finally try the vegan dishes. I feel like plant-based eaters are so eager for options that we feel like every option is a gift. This place is not that gift. It had fewer vegan options than the menu promised and the service was less than friendly. I got the vegan orange chicken and the vegan Kung pao; both rather flavorless and disappointing...and expensive. It was $17 for the combo for takeout! It's a shame that places like Bodhi Lunar Feast didn't survive the pandemic and this is what we have left. I appreciate when businesses offer vegan options; it's imperative, however, that those options be satisfying. The only thing is was a little disappointed was that on one order of the regular jalapeño chicken.... It was a lot of jalapeños and less chicken. this is the vegan friendly version of your favorite chinese takeout spot. i have been coming here for a year or two although once covid/quarantine began i started to order food here regularly. the entire staff has always been sooo kind and hardworking, went in a day ago and the new hires are just as great, an excellent addition as the energy was so uplifting and postive. :,) i always go with a vegan combo of orange chicken and a thai tea with oat milk. the portions are great for the price, i usually share. the food is made to order so be patient and you will be delightfully pleased. it is just like your typical chinese takeout, although the fact they accommodate for vegans (like myself) feels so rewarding. the food is full of flavor and filling in a way that doesn't make you feel bad about what you're eating. there are sooo many vegan options here from alternative milk and menu choices to desserts and snacks. the prices are average to what i'm used to paying for a meal in la. for a while they were cash only, i still pay in cash just so i can tip easily! c: i'd absolutely recommend giving pots n' woks a try! read more

First, it's not a vegan restaurant. They have some vegan items on the menu. Second, they gouge you for ordering a vegan item. Regular 1 item combo is $7.75, Vegan 1 item combo is $12.00! Complete BS! I would overlook both of these things if the food was great. It is not. The "orange chicken" was still frozen in the middle and drowned in a super sweet orange sauce. I love coming to this place. The orange chicken and the chow mien is hands down my favorite. This is also my go to spot for all our family functions. The party trays are not disappointing at all and can feed any huge party you throw. The prices are unbeatable and the portions are insane! I just recently tried their vegan options and I must say it is pretty delicious. It so nice of them to offer vegan/vegetarian options for anyone with a restricted diet. Drove 45 minutes to satisfy our vegan Chinese food craving. Did not disappoint! Huge portions, everything was delicious and exactly how I remembered it from my non-vegan days. The vegan General Tso's chicken was great. Could've been spicier, but was great overall. The vegan Walnut Shrimp was amazing! The shrimp was still crispy when we drive the 45 minutes back home. We also got the Vegan Cream Cheese Wontons. They were good, but could've used a touch of sweetness in the filling, in my opinion. The chow mein is tasty and much better than what you would get at Panda Express. The fried rice was just okay. We added a little extra soy sauce to ours as it was lacking a little flavor. A vegan dining dream. Heads up: it does take a while (around 20 minutes on a Saturday evening) to prepare the vegan items, but they are truly worth the wait. The combo plates are enormous and you truly do not feel like you are "missing out" with the plant-based dishes. They also have rice noodles for a side option as well! Their milk teas (lots of plant based milk options) are giant as well and they are very generous with the amount of boba they put in the drinks. Awesome vegan Chinese food. Poor service. I understand mistakes can be made, but we gave them a chance to make it right. They missed rice and chow mein on our almost $90 order. We waited over 30 mins for our order and headed home. We got home with 2 starving kids and realized the mistake. My husband called and their response felt dismissive and like they didn't care to make it up to us. "We'll get you next time" isn't an appropriate response. They didn't even bother to apologize. I wanted to give a glowing review, so I called and asked if they had a solution. I offered for them to just reimburse us for the missing food, but it wasn't possible. I've had this happen before and the owner sent our food over and another sent us a gift certificate to use at their restaurant at a later time. In the end, it's not even the actual cost that we were upset about. We were bummed that stuff was missing from our order, but really upset that they didn't seem to care. I'm not sure that we will be back. The poor customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish they cared more, instead of them viewing customers as "just another person to deal with." read more

My new chinese food spot for sure. Seen a lot of people post about this place and had to give it a try. The regular Mongolian beef and honey walnut shrimp are top tier. Mongolian beef flavor is on point and i love the loads of onions and green onions they put on it. Honey walnut could have been a little more fresh but overall it was good.
