I was drawn in by the sign outside promoting their Thanksgiving sandwich. I ordered it to go with Brussel sprouts. It's a very cute restaurant inside, fairly small. The sandwich was very good, could've used a bit more chicken though. I didn't love the way the Brussel sprouts were cooked, only pan fried. They needed to be cooked more for me and maybe a bit crispier.

My girlfriend and I did a takeout from here. We got chicken vegetable soup, garlic baguette, and beet salad. The soup tasted great and hearty. We dunked the garlic baguette into the soup, and it was great (see my photo)! Their soup not only tastes good but also healthy in that they don't add sugar. Highly recommended

Great little spot! We stopped in on a Tuesday and were immediately seated, but we got lucky--a couple parties had to be turned away after. We both got the chicken platter and tried the mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, garlic bread, and potatoes. I thought the potatoes and brussel sprouts could have been crispier, but loved the mac and cheese. The chicken was unreal. Awesome service in this place, totally loved the local vibe and how kind and friendly everyone was. Will absolutely be back!

I stopped by lPoulet San Tête to try their seed oil free rotisserie chicken with a friend and it was amazing. The atmosphere is well curated. The seating and spacing felt more intimate for family or dates but also for solo dining. They also have outdoor dining. You can see the rotisserie chicken cooking behind the counter. My favorites were the chicken baguette and chicken dripping potatoes. I loved how the chicken was tender & juicy. The sandwich came together really well. I don't know what was better because those potatoes hit the spot. Maybe some of the best potatoes I've ever had. The staff were welcoming and helpful. This is definitely a hidden gem in my books.

The roasted chicken here is SUPERB!

I love this place! The food is delicious all the way around. But the main focus of this review today is going to be the CHICKEN SOUP! When you need GOOD chicken soup..... I mean VERY GOOD chicken soup, this is the place that you will find what you need. The broth is rich and tasty. Great variety of vegetables. And the chicken.... Well, their chicken is superb. (I mean, that's the main point of their business, isn't it?) So if you want chicken soup, this place will not disappoint you. As for other things, the roasted chicken is magnificent. The "dripping potatoes"... Incredibly tasty. Other things, too. Sautéed kale. Mac & cheese. Really, from here, just find your own way forward. On top of that, the staff is great. And they cook everything out in the open, so you can see how clean it is. This is a gem of a place on the upper west side.

Small and cozy spot. The decor was nice, and the service was good. The menu is concise. However, the food was unspectacular. Everything about it just fell flat. I ordered the red beans and rice bowl with a side of mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. The bowl tasted like pre-packaged quality. It didn't taste bad, but it also didn't taste like restaurant-quality food.

This was my first visit, so I can't review comprehensively, but... I came up here from the Village with one objective: to try the Chicken Gobbler. I'd been on a bit of a hunt for Thanksgiving-type sandwiches, and someone on r/FoodNYC enthusiastically recommended this one. Their enthusiasm was justified. This was the best sandwich of its kind that I'd found in the city, beating out other places that I'd thought were excellent, and it didn't even use turkey! What it did have was rotisserie chicken, stuffing, apple cider vinegar onions, and cranberry sauce, on a great baguette. The stuffing was standout--no prepackaged factory stuff here--and the cranberry sauce was given a perfect light application that didn't overtake everything else, as sometimes happens. And the chicken au jus was a very nice touch. They don't have this specific item at the Village location, but hey, it's just a few minutes up on the 1, and so worth it. If you want the top tier of Thanksgiving sandwiches in NYC, come up there.

The Chicken Bagette au Jus is an elite sandwich. The juiciness--even pre-Jus dunk--is sublime and the bitter broc rabe compliments it perfectly. It calls to mind Philly-style roast pork sandwiches. I know we're having a fried chicken moment right now (I'm not hating, I swear), but sometimes it's nice to eat homey and delicious chicken sandwich without instantly feeling the urge to sprawl out like a beached whale afterwards. As for ambiance/decor, it is sparkling clean and cute inside. My wife initially picked it off of vibes alone before even consulting a menu.

Saw the good reviews and am adding another. Fabulous chicken that features a lot of rosemary. Perfectly cooked. One of the best chicken meals ever! We enjoyed dripping potatoes, roasted cauliflower, and the crunch try health salad with cucumber and carrots. Good portions. Dinner for two plus leftovers for lunch. Tres bien! Merci!

Got the #4 Single Slider & Fries ($10.99). The "Medium" spice level wasn't spicy at all - more like a mild & I'm happy about that. For a Popeye's "spicy" level, you'll probably want medium-spicy to spicy. The portion is generous for a slider sandwich, with fresh purple cabbage coleslaw (crunchy not soggy!) and 3-4 pickles. There's an orange mayo drizzled on top of the chicken, but it didn't have much spice or flavor. The chicken is nicely breaded & fried - not sure how they did it. It's like an even coating of fine breading. There's a dusting of chili powder on it which reminds me of an Indian flavor actually. Very tasty. The fries are excellent also! Lightly seasoned but not overly spicy. They're either double-fried or frozen then fried & have a nice crisp. The spicy mayo that comes with it is a bit spicy (more than the chicken sauce). There's even more (fresh) pickles packed with the fries. Comparable pricing to Popeye's & other chicken spots, but the quality & care is so much better. The young woman at the counter with glasses & a little puffy ponytail was the sweetest & also doesn't eat too spicy. Looking forward to coming back (but need some self control).

The sliders were good, as always, and the fries could've used a little more of the hot seasoning since they went a little light on it this time. The mozzarella sticks were really good fresh. I just wish they added more of the hot seasoning they put on the chicken because I wanted a stronger flavor.

My friends and I ordered one soy garlic large wings with a side of fries, and for the both of us being quite hungry, we were able to quickly devour it. The soy garlic wings were quite solid. It took about 15 mins for it to come out and they were nice and crispy. While there is a variety of items to order, Charles Classic Combo caught my eye in a heart beat. For $10.95, you receive two pieces of fried chicken, the side of your choice and complimentary corn bread. The sides are plentiful and the only problem you will have is selecting because you will want to explore them all. There are so many options such as black eyed peas, collard greens, white rice and string beans. If you are not in the mood for fried chicken, you may choose 8 pieces of shrimp or a turkey wing. These are the classic combo menu items I explored: Cornbread: This is probably by far one of the biggest pieces of cornbread I explored. It has a crumbly texture and was soft and chewy. Mashed Potatoes: The potatoes were smooth and creamy. The gravy was the backbone to this side. Although the sauce was kind of sloppily thrown on, it still had a perfect taste. Fried Chicken: Now I see why this spot is called Charles Pan-Fried Chicken, hence the catchy name. While I was observing the preparation of the main course in those gigantic pans, I immediately knew Charles's recipe was going to be on the money. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside with tender, white meat on the inside. And the drum stick was paradise as well. Indoor seating is limited to a few stools, but there are multiple outdoor picnic tables. As a bonus, all take out orders are provided with simplistic directions for re-heating the meal. Detailed microwave and oven instructions are listed, but I highly recommend preparing everything in the oven for a true authentic taste. It was truly a fantastic experience exploring this fried chicken spot in Harlem. If you are ordering delivery, It is recommend to order from www.charlespanfriedchicken.com instead of a third party app. The consumer cost is cheaper and Chef Charles Gabriel and his staff will receive a better profit. #charlespanfriedchicken #charlesclassiccombo #charlespanfriedchickenharlem #chefcharlesgabriel #chefquie
