I want to start this review off stating that my star rating is being generous because I want to love this place that much! The coffee shop itself is inviting, clean, and very chic. I loved the small selection of local jewelry, coffee, candles etc. The pastries were phenomenal, I mean top-notch. We chose the best apparently because they both knocked our socks off. The strawberries n'cream muffin was beyond moist and delectable and definitely made us want more. Our second choice was a Forrest Berry old fashion donut and again our minds were blown. Soft, delicious, and flavorful dough and icing had us floored. Now unfortunately that's where it ended. The main purpose for our visit was the coffee and it was such a letdown. The salted caramel latte was bitter and burnt-tasting and lacked any other flavor than the two mentioned, i was heartbroken because I wanted to love it. My daughter ordered a lavender and honey latte which delivered some flavor but still wasn't anything special. The customer service was good, we felt a little rushed to make our selections but they have a steady flow of customers so I can somewhat see why. We will more than likely return to give them one more try on the coffee, but we will definitely return for more pastries! read more

Living in the Seattle area, you do get snobby about coffee. Im always looking for locally owned coffeehouse. and found this near by my family's home. It's quite small coffee shop and it's kid friendly. I normally stick with my usual soy latte but I tried lavender honey latte with almond milk (saw lot of folks recommended it). Glad I did bc it was pretty good! Not a big "flower" flavored fan but it was subtle and tasteful. Guess I'll be coming back to try more drinks and also try baked goods whenever I'm in town. read more

This is one of my all-time favorite spots in KC. Every time we are in town from AZ we try and go a couple of times. Their seasonal drinks are always well done and the staff is nice. It is oriented a little strange inside and is small. This can create an issue when it is full because there isn't tons of room to move and people don't know where to stand. But, I wouldn't say it takes away from how great this place is. Tons of great bakery things and a nice spot in the suburbs. read more

I love this place! Great coffee, service and atmosphere. I was very impressed with Deyvn a barista. She was helpful and very knowledgeable about coffee. She recommended baked goods that were surprising good. There are even gluten free baked goods! This is my third visit to this coffee house. The coffee was very strong and the homemade poptart was delicious I ordered the nitro cold brew and strawberry poptart but was given the maple poptart by mistake but in classic Midwest fashion I just kept it. It was still delicious no regrets! The pricing is similar to Starbucks but I prefer their nitro cold brew over Starbucks. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is super cozy. read more

This cute coffee shop is conveniently close to my place of business. I love stopping by every once in a while for a fun coffee drink. I've noticed the last few times I've gone that I get just as much foam in my drink as I do coffee. I get 10oz of coffee in a 20oz cup. I truly do love there coffee, but continually getting gypped isn't worth it for me. I grabbed a cup to take on a walk with a friend. Upon my arrival at the destination (with no sips in the car) I opened to top to see what it looked like after the foam settled. I was incredibly disappointed. I'm kicking myself that I did not know this gem of a place was so near me! And, now I'm kicking myself for hesitating to share about it -- I want it all to myself. But, alas, I must share, for that is the right thing to do. Pour Coffeehouse is an exquisite place tucked in amongst the trees with a lovely light airiness that instantly brings you into a peaceful state of mind. And, if that doesn't do the trick, you soon will be as you come in and begin to take in all their coffee and bakery goodness. I started off with a Samoa Mocha (with caramel and coconut)... Oh. My. Yum. Beautifully subtle and balanced. Also, had the Alchemy -- a fabulous cold brew. I later enjoyed a generous slice of tomato basil quiche with a perfectly flaky crust, and a blueberry chocolate chip scone that will make your mouth cry tears of joy. Pour Coffeehouse is a great option for a cup when you are deep in the heart of Northwest Olathe. It's a little off the beaten path for my travels, but still a good tasting brew using Broadway Roasting's beans. It really doesn't look like a coffee shop when you enter, rather more like a Crabtree and Evelyn shop at the mall. The food and coffee behind the counter, however, make up for middle aged lady's soap dish boutique. Muffins are larger than life and granola bars were moist and filling. Both my drip coffee and my wife's latte were brewed with care and served hot and tasty. I'll be back when in the area, but can't pass up my other favorites when I'm on the way there. read more

Seemingly cute and convenient, however upon ordering 2 dairy free chai, cinnamon roll, and danish. I was only given the danish and chai (with regular milk). I politely reminded the barista about the cinnamon roll, and she chose to argue the legitimacy of me ordering it instead. Saying she only heard the danish, even though I had already paid. Instead of just giving me what I had paid for she continued to argue and asked if wanted to pay again for it. There was a small rush and she seemed to be cracking under pressure. Very disappointed about how much I paid, and the unwillingness of the barista to correct the situation. I will only return to this place to get a refund. 3/10. Both chais had dairy. This shop opened up my senior year of high school at Olathe Northwest. I have a lot of fond memories of studying at this spot after class. Even though I live in California now, I always make a stop at Pour when I come home. I always get the Cinnamon Creme latte which was an original menu item and has since been removed, but most of the time a barista is working who knows how to make it. If they don't, there are lots of other yummy options including Alchemy on tap and baked goods. read more

This is a serious gem of Olathe! I wish it wasn't so far away form work/home because I would frequent it often. The atmosphere here is relaxed and the decor is a mix of Magnolia and Starbucks in the best way possible. They have a great selection of syrups for your coffee if you're into that kind of thing and they have awesome seasonal concoctions that are delicious. Their food items are plentiful and amazing. I like it here because it's a cute little coffee shop....with donuts!!! The people here are nice and they also have pastries and food! So you can get that to pair with your coffee or tea! The only thing is location because it is located out in an area that is developing. I can see them being around for a while though! I don't know why it took me so long to come here. It's kind of out of my way but only 5 mins from my house. I love this cute little coffee shop. I've been here a couple times and it's a cute small place to have a nice little conversation with friends. I've had the donuts and they're so good. All of their pastries look amazing! Whenever I walk into into Pour I have a 50/50 experience in whether it's good or bad. Today it was bad. I wanted to buy holiday gift cards but quickly realized they re-use their gift cards scribbling out previous amounts on the back. They were not holiday cards either, generic everyday cards which I passed on. I'm all about re-use, repurpose and recycle but not re-gift! These either looked used or that I screwed up writing the amount, both unsavory to give & receive! Gift cards are a reflection of your business, an opportunity to gain new customers and make money of course! (High percentage of unredeemed gift cards out there) are ya'll really that cheap?! Dutch bros is coming soon and as much as I like to support local, often there's a reason the little guy gets pushed out and that is due to running a poor business. Ran to Starbucks and got my "new" gift cards through the drive thru ;) read more

Cute little coffee shop close to Olathe Northwest. Their coffee is really good and the burritos and pasties are always fresh! I really like that they have a small selection of Vegan baked goods also! They always have a menu of special seasonal drinks to pick from as well as some good house favorites. One of my only complaints is that service can be really slow. It is perfectly fine if you are wanting to meet up with friends or stay to do homework, but it can be frustrating if you are wanting to grab a drink before headed to work.
