Twice in two years these people came to my door and hard-selled appointments for their people to come out and measure my windows and present their replacement windows. The first in 2019, I rescheduled to a Saturday due to my granddaughters volleyball tournament. The guy did not show up after waiting for an hour. The excuse was the office did not pass-on the appointment in time. The second was set for 6:00PM, September 15, 2020. Not only did I not get a reminder call as promised, nobody showed again. My wife and I waited till 7:00PM and left the house. What kind of game are these people playing?. My opinion is unless you told them you are definitely buying, they send their people to other potential customers that did make a commitment. My suggestion is not to bother people that do not commit, and, take your windows and stick them where the sun does not shine. read more

The salesman would exaggerating their "life time warranty" service to you when they are trying to sale, of course that "excellent service " would cost you much more than the same installation from other companies. But the worst part is most likely its not a real life time warranty, if you sold your house, the new owner probably have to pay the labor fee for the maintenance. I only found that out at the time I was trying to sell my house, and the warranty group reply me as that, I told them that not what the salesman told me at the time. But they can't give me a satisfaction answer. By the way, after we signed up the gutters service with them, they immediately sent another salesman to our house pushing us to do more, and that sales man were stay at our house for 3 hours, ignored all the signs I gave to him to let him out of the house, I was glad that I didn't do any more work with them. And I regret did the gutter with them, (although the work they did is good, but its pricey, I should def. shopping around, I got fooled by the lie time warranty). read more

After making a bloated sales presentation preloaded on an iPad, your representative will tout a lifetime warranty claim on Power remodeling's windows. Per their own website, their "lifetime warranty" is 10 years. After that it's prorated. Further adding to this lie when I clarified the claim the employee who came to my home to provide an estimate made by asking "So in 50 years a window fails what happens?" He replied that they'd send someone out to fix it free. Not true Additionally I was quoted 20k to replace 17 windows, 18k if I signed that day before I'd had a chance to verify all the claim in Power's sales presentation or gotten any other estimates. Thankfully I found that their prices are outrageously high despite the claims to the contrary made in their sales presentation. Nope, not happening. We had siding done on our home in July 2024. We loved the finish product. Our home looks really nice. The installation team was very good and accommodating. The sales process was smooth and the sales rep, Tim Chatman, was pleasant. He answered our questions and was helpful. Although Tim was helpful, he was very misleading about the replacement of the wood on our house. He told us that ALL wood on the house would be replaced. As it turns out, everything was replaced except the soffit. When the quality control person, Chin, came to inspect the work, I told him what we were told and his response was and I quote, "Good old Tim. He has be known to do this. I have had to talk to him about this." I was very upset about what we were told and this man sat in my house and told me some foolishness like that. I could not believe it. We have not any problems but it is the principle. We were told that we didn't pay for extra But who knows. Ask questions and make sure you are getting what you they say you're getting. Talk to the installers and oversee your project. You will be told they work for Power and that's probably true but contracted 3rd party workers. read more

A lot of money for these windows and door.........a lot of sales person promises about how great the company is........Here are some of the red flags that occurred: 1st red flag - The installers got to my home late and were rushing to finish 2nd red flag - when using the spray foam on a 1 inch gap the foam expanded to the thickness of a piece of string. I was concerned about how well the windows and door were insulated 3rd red flag - After the door was installed, the next cold windy day, standing by the door on the inside the was a cold breeze on my feet. The breeze was blowing under the threshold. 4th red Flag - I entered an online request for customer service and warranty (2 requests). I received an email I would get a call in 48 hours. 96 hours later after no call, I called. 5th red Flag - They transferred me to a local office and were going to send the same crew that made the mistake. I wanted someone with more experience and the fact that so far the POWER, after all the money i spent, how poorly customer service worked, the best they could do is is send someone in a few weeks..... So my new door for the Christmas and New years holiday need a towel against the bottom of the door to keep the wind out of the house. The best they can do is someone out in a few weeks. read more

The customer facing people are great. Nice, easy to talk to, not rushed, not pushy. I got warm fuzzies and they were honest and time efficient. Sept 2019, they are doing door to door sales for window replacements. We let them know up front that we're not buying this year due to budgetary concerns, but they wanted to quote us out anyway. We agreed to let the full sales guy come out, and he was honest and up front that it would be around $1k per window installed. OK, sticker shock, but it makes sense based on past experience, etc. But I was up front with him too that we were not looking to buy this year, and probably not next year. Maybe when we move. All was cool, and he helped us with some planning info. So, why the low-star rating? The company calls us 11 times per week, and never leaves a voicemail. It's with robo callers, so when I answered one time, there was no-one there. It's harassing and annoying. I had to block them because it was becoming disruptive. read more

Long sales pitch before and after my 4 windows were installed 2 months ago. They were on time, did a great job of installing, BUT, and this is why I gave them 1 star. Tonight I noticed 1 of the 4 windows had spots and streaks that would not come off. I tried cleaning the spots but they are actually on the outside coating of the glass! Looks terrible! This is Saturday and I will call them on Monday and if they replace or fix the problem I will raise my 1 star if not, they will never hear the end of my complaining. I paid (probably over paid) too much for a cloudy view. Please see my photos. UPDATE: called Power today about our spotty window. Was on hold about 10 minutes with the warranty department. Then a guy named Mike answered. He said the coating on the window was put in facing out instead of inside. He has seen this 2 or 3 times before and could get someone out in January! This was the indisputably the WORST experience I've ever had with a salesperson. I made it clear that I ONLY wanted a quote that night. Nothing more, nothing less. After taking measurements there was a sales presentation that went on for over 2 hours, and he tried hard to pressure me into closing a deal that night (it didn't work). The salesperson was in my house until 10 pm on a weeknight, and I asked him to leave multiple times. I was about to call the police. We heard about this company through our Sam's Club membership. As we needed to replace our back door anyway, we hired them for the job in 2019. They did decent work although there were some delays due to the door needing to be custom built. It is now May 2021 and they will NOT STOP CALLING to ask me how I liked the installation, if I want more windows, etc. I have asked them to stop several times and have clearly stated that we do not want any more work done. Still the calls persist. Once I was at a hospital and told the rep several times it was not a good time for a survey. I finally had to hang up on him, which I hate doing. I really wish we had gone with someone else due to the constant harassment. They are also no longer at my local Sam's and I wonder if this is the reason why. We have been waiting on a replacement window since early fall 2020, it is now April of 2021 and still no window. They reschedule installation multiple times and on the day we thought they were FINALLY going to replace the defective window we receive a call that the window had been lost. We excepted a follow-up call with information about when we could expect them to get the replacement but we heard nothing at all. My husband called today to find out the status and again got vague answers and of course they blame the situation on COVID. We remodel houses for a living and have put new windows using another company is 3 houses since this warranty claim was established. Funny thing, COVID didn't prevent the other company from doing their job! Run, don't walk. These guys walk the line between slick salesmanship and outright CON-ARTISTS. Had windows installed a few months ago. Shame on me for not doing my own research first. Thankfully, we only had 5 windows replaced.. to the tune of $5,500. Everyone you deal with face-to-face is well mannered and clean cut - easy to like (unless you want them to leave). What you find afterwards is you've been sold a bill of goods with nothing in writing to substantiate what you were told, and you've paid a dazzling sum for a very average product. You can look up the energy ratings from the stickers on the installed product. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to make or salvage a sale. They will not provide you written quotes for anything other than the windows you've already contracted with them for. I only woke up to the obvious red flags after the work was done - don't make my mistake. read more

We chose Power Home Remodeling for windows because a family member used them and had a great experience. The sales team told us during our home inspection for the windows that our attic was 150 degrees and that we needed to purchase their radiant barrier. He said it would reduce the temperature drastically in the attic, make our HVAC last longer and it wouldn't have to work so hard. We had it installed. Today it was 100 degrees outside and in excess of 160 degrees in the attic. Power initially sent people out to uncover vents they covered during installation, with no improvement noted. We were told today that they can do nothing more for us, that our ventilation is the problem and we need to have a contractor install more vents. Never did the salesman state that the barrier would only work if we added more ventilation. We paid around 10k for a product we should never have been sold in the first place. read more

Door to door window sales that sounds great, but the actual work is very sloppy. So much damage, we had to hire a contractor to repair and fix the damage. Chipped, cracked, and scraped drywal and base boards. Really sloppy caulking too. Looked really unprofessional when it was complete. Finger prints and hand prints everywhere. They had a rep out to review the work and offered zero help with the remediation of the amazingly sloppy job. I do not recommend working with power. read more

They did a great job installing our gutters at our home, our new windows, and our siding and a brand new door. But when I called them to adjust the gutters due to them not throwing out the water properly they never show up after agreeing that someone would come out. Same with a new door I got installed. The lock doesn't go through all they way and I called and again agree to send someone and nobody ever comes out to see or adjust. Do I just have to keep calling? Yes. Do I want to? No. read more

We finally agreed it was a good idea to replace all the windows in the house and had Power do the job because we thought the warranty they offered was also a good idea. Over a year ago, one of the windows started hazing around the edges. We called Power and have continued to call Power and only hear the window is on back order - forover a year now. I'm really angry that the windows have been paid for in full and this is the kind of service we get from them now. The window is in the living room and it's a major embarrassment. Steer clear of Power - they only want your money and nothing more. I'm pretty sure they are experiencing supply chain issues - but due to their lack of ingenuity and ability to think outside the box to resolve these issues, they won't be able to survive as a company. read more

Sales person was at my home for 4 hours. I agreed to a radiant barrier. And rain gutters. I was pushed to purchase a roof as well (an extremely expensive roof). Was told the radiant barrier would help with electricity cost and protect the wood framing in my house. All it has done is cause increased humidity in my home, causing breathing issues for my asthmatic family member. I called to discuss this with them and they sent someone out to inspect, but never received a response. Called again, and they sent someone out to inspect, with no follow-up until I called them. Was told they would not do anything to resolve the issue. Gutters that they installed are bowing on both sides of the house as well. They refuse to back up their lifetime warranty. Buyers regret. I placed an order for a value of $ 27000, about 22 windows and two doors. A couple of months after this purchase, two windows got damaged. I called the warranty department; they came and fixed the window; one of the windows is still defective. The front door originally was the wrong delivery. It was delivered in December 2019. They sent it back, and I waited for another 4 months about to receive the new door. I was told it was damaged in the factory and they had to reorder. It finally came. The door was missing the ocular part. They came back to install it. A couple of months later, the door handle broke. Again, I called to get it fixed. They came to fix it. Then last September, the batteries of the new door lock died. I called again, and this time, I was not nice anymore. I was tired of this door. I asked them why a new lock would need the battery changed within less than 6 months. I had a previous door with a better type of lock, the battery has been there for more than a year, and is still going. I realized they gave me a really cheap lock. Yesterday, as I was heading to work, I was unable to lock the door. The battery died again. It has been less than 2 months since they changed the battery. I called furiously and just wanted to door out. The guy I talked to was okay, but could not contain my anger. He told me I could not talk to a manager and had to call in the morning. I called this morning at 0800 AM and spoke switch a lady that was busy taking care of her home. She had me on mute and answering with the least amount of care. I have never had a company that comes to my house this much to fix their defective product instead of just changing it. It makes me doubt the quality of the product. The previous window is still defective, and now, I have a door that I cannot close because I never used the keys, and that was the point when I was purchasing this code entry door. I would not recommend this company. The salesman told me they were they are the only one to offer these windows. It is NOT true. I saw the same windows 6 years prior in Oklahoma. They offer you a warranty service, but who wants to be on the phone once a month about the same product being defective? I honestly regret my purchase, mostly when I consider how much I spent. I am scared that I will spend the rest of my life constantly calling them to fix something and something else. Find another company for your power windows. read more

I was looking for quotes for siding on my chimney box. Maybe a new skylight bubble. My goal was to acquire several bids for the job and pick the best option of price/quality. My neighbor had some siding that looked good so I thought I would include them. Big mistake. As soon as they called to confirm my appointment it started sounding like a timeshare sales presentation, or the high pressure window replacement pitch I experienced a couple years ago. If you want high pressure sales invite them into your house for an hour or so. It will only take about 90 min to give you the pitch. Fortunately I canceled when they would not agree to a quick inspection and bid. You will see their response. It's about the experience. The care they take. You need to know how good they are and how much they care..so they can justify their high cost. But they offer financing. Just say No. read more

My experience with power home remodeling is horrible! I first ordered 4 windows for my upstairs rooms which they installed on time but left me with some dirt on the walls that I have to repaint to cover them. Then at the end of May I ordered additional 7 windows for my downstairs rooms. I was told that they will be installed on July 11th. They are late by 5 weeks and I still don't know where or what happened to my windows. I called almost twice a week and for the past 4 weeks they told me that they are sitting on the dock waiting for shipment. You would expect them to follow up and have answers for someone who is calling at least twice a week but no body bothers to check. After 4 weeks of telling me the windows are sitting on the dock, they told me that they were not on the docks waiting for shipment but they were being painted . Few days later they told me they were shipped and that they will be receiving them on August 15th. So I called them on August 16th and they couldn't find my window and that they were not sure if they were shipped . So I called again on the 17th and they said they will be shipped on the 19th. I called today the 19th, and they simply said we don't know. I do understand the supply chain issues, I actually work as a supply chain analyst so believe me, I UNDERSTAND the delays. However it is not the case in this situation. They are just simply disorganized. I'm spending almost 20k for these windows and I would expect at least calling me and giving me updates. But no updates and when I request for an update they are unprofessional and no body bother to follow up. So they are 5 weeks late and I wouldn't recommend power home remodeling, there are other companies that have a better lead time, better customer service and better price. I only put four stars because the windows are so new, we have yet to see how they hold up in the Texas heat. But thus far, we have been very pleased with the customer service and the quality of the work and the windows. Pricewise we feel like we got a pretty good deal considering we replaced like 38 windows in our house (all but four--they don't make those sizes in our area currently). The windows came sooner than expected so we were able to get them faster than we had originally scheduled it for, which was nice. As the summer heat comes on, and we see how these windows hold up, I may return and change my review. read more

After walking around and measuring, then showing the sample product we were convinced we were going to replace ALL the windows in our home...now the headache begins. Verbally their warranty sounds amazing; however when you actually take the time to read ALL the fine print you'll find a different story. When asked 'where is the amazing warranty in writing?' There isn't! We would love to have this product in our home...but we would like to know that the $30,000+ we are investing is covered. Do not use Power Home Remodeling. Several months ago I had them come in a give me a pitch for new windows in the house. The price turned out to be $36K. That was too much so I said no thank you. Months later they came to my door and said if I let their specialist come back in they would get me a lower price than last time. I agreed. They did not give a lower price. The new price was just under $42k. I thought about it and I liked the Pella windows so I agreed to proceed. They were now going to send the preinstall tech and get the final measurements. I specifically said in he going find things and raise the price. I was told no and if he did he (the salesman) would give me his paycheck. The preinstall tech came and found the sales man had made multiple errors and did not include tempered glass where in was required, only included 9 mull kits where 17 were needed, and did not put the grids on the windows as promised ( I have a text confirming that there were to be grids on the windows.) The new price was an additional $3200. We are now at just under $45k. I said this is their error they need to fix it. They agreed the salesman made the mistake but if I wanted the windows I would have to pay the higher price. I called and spoke with the people in charge and they could have cared less about losing my business. The person on the phone even laughed about it. I cancelled the project. read more

Scheduled an appointment for someone to come out that evening to give us a quote on replacing windows and a door. I confirmed the appointment with a scheduler while the salesman was still here. 30 minutes later they called about it. I asked them to call my husband as I was working. They did. They confirmed the appointment again and then called when they were heading this way. That was 3 days ago. I know traffic is bad down 35 but not 3 days late bad. Never got a call either. read more

STAY AWAY! Solicitor came to my door seeking appointments for window estimates. I do need new windows so I foolishly made an appointment. The estimate guy arrived around 6:40, talked and talked and talked in great detail. The presentation is really slick and rehearsed with lots of slides, starting with how great the company is to work for, and how they do all sorts of charity work. It feels very manipulative (with him complimenting every single thing in the home as well). I let him know that I didn't have much time. He kept talking, wouldn't cut things short. Said repeatedly, "I could be fired if I skip this part" (after bragging about what a great place it is to work). Lots of unnecessary detail. Wouldn't skip to the actual estimates. I was starving and hadn't eaten dinner, told him that repeatedly. He keeps saying he's making it fast but he's not. Two and a half hours go by. I am nearly in tears. I keep asking him to finish and leave. He keeps showing me more demos that I don't want to see and unnecessary details (like calculating all the competitors' costs.) I tell him I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack, that I'm on the verge of tears. (I am a single female, and there's a man who won't leave my home when I ask him to.) I even tell him, with these exact words, "I feel like a captive in my own home." I repeatedly say, "I need/want you to leave." I say I want him to leave by 9 p.m. It goes past 9 p.m. He is still calculating numbers at this point. I get up and just start cooking. He finally leaves, around 9:17. He doesn't even leave the detailed estimate as I asked him to. I understand that they have a set spiel, but do they really not train people to be sensitive to prospective clients' needs? How are they going to sell people stuff just by wasting their time? If I'm telling someone I'm uncomfortable and upset and want him to sum up and leave, a professional should immediately understand and do all he can to speed things up, not continue to get more window samples out of his bag or calculate with his calculator exactly what he thinks each of their window competitors -- 5 or 6 other companies -- would charge me for this project. Will never use this business -- or open my door to another solicitor. Made an appointment for an estimate with another window business and made them promise to keep it short. Honestly, looking at all the glowing google reviews for Power, they all look slick and fake, too perfectly worded. If you search around (look at the one star reviews), you'll find many more people with complaints like mine. At least he did do one thing for me as he left -- he promised me that nobody would call me or contact me, and nobody has so far. I hope they don't. read more

Second set of windows installed crew wasn't as good as the first crew. Windows installed to deep inside house and blinds don't fit flush as before and now the stick out of the window sills.
