These people are awful. It's been over a year since they installed windows in my home and I my wife and I still talk about their aggressive sales tactics. The salesman literally would not leave my house until I arrived home from work and that really made my wife uncomfortable. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH POWER!!!! By the reviews it appears that I have dodged a bullet. An appointment was set up with a rep at Sam's Club about installing windows and siding. On the day of the appointment, they confirmed the appointment several times with my mother and then a just a few minutes before the appointment they called to cancel. Stating that they don't service my area. She set up the appointment at a Sam's club in Dallas. We live in Dallas. At 1st I was upset that they canceled the appointment at the last minute but after reading reviews about their main headquarters in PA and their Texas location it seems that there are not a good company to go with. Had these guys come give me a quote and 3 hours later they were still in my house giving an aggressive sales pitch. When I went to use the restroom the guy actually tried to repeat when he had just told my husband. I told him at that point, I was done, but did that stop him from droning on and on about the company? No! I don't care if this is their business model, I refuse to buy anything from this company based on their sales pitch alone, which by the way, was full of lies. They say in the pitch that they offer a lifetime warranty but their websites says 10 years. They also say they NEVER hire contractors but glassdoor shows them hiring contractors left and right. We hired Power to redo siding, gutters, and backdoor. Salesman quoted one price, survey engineer quoted another 1000 more. Strike one. Survey engineer indicated dumpster delivery in 6 weeks, as it would happen, Memorial day (strike 2) because who ever heard of a calendar? Verified 3 times dumpster would go on left side. Surprise! Entire driveway (strike 3). Rescheduled backdoor to May 31 (understood, thanks for calling!), then rescheduled to Jun 2 (OK, keep going!), no show Jun 2 after missing work, can't figure out how to use phone. Showed up Jun 2 with crew of stumble bums and a distressed backdoor. No way I'm letting these jokers touch the rest of my house. read more

Very happy with the whole process. From the sale to the install to the windows. Everyone was very professional and the windows look great! We only replaced the front 4 windows for now as they were the worst out of all of the windows (single pane originals (~33 years old)), but if we decide to stay in the house for a few more years we will definitely replace the other 7. Spent over $10K on windows and $850 to pre-pay for a broken window a year later. They called less than 24 hours in advance to cancel and never rescheduled. When I requested a refund, rep put me on hold forever. I was told a supervisor would call, then given an email... a week later & nothing. I filed a complaint with BBB for their corporate office and tried contacting them through social media. Best method was disputing charge with my bank. Protect yourself by going elsewhere. Though the windows may be attractive... it is worthless if you cannot replace or repair following initial installation. What good is a "lifetime warranty" if they don't answer the phone? These custom windows are manufactured overseas. Excuse I received was a vinyl shortage causing delays. Better solution: don't sell products you can't get and then keep customers' money. This company does not tell the truth when they are talking about financing. They misrepresented the amounts. Do NOT use this company. They will tell you one thing and then will have another price. Do NOT believe them. They are not a good company to go with. They are liars. Their financing is shady. They tell you one thing and then call you with another number, but after the 3 day waiting period and you cannot get out of the contract without breeching it, but they do not tell you that if there has been any changes such as additional work signed on, but not completed that you can cancel the contract. I would not recommend this company. I have been paying on a sliding glass door for the past 8+ months that was never installed correctly. Customer service is terrible and not helpful. Below is a picture of the metal having that are accumulating because the door was not installed properly. Someone came out to look at it in June and I am still waiting for repairs. read more

This will be a long post, but I feel it's warranted given our experience with this company, so feel free to skip if you don't have the time to read it. In short, I HATE the tactics they use to prey on people. Our first experience with them was actually really good. They came to our house and talked about how they could do our windows and had a very thorough (though very lengthy) presentation of the type of home remodeling they do, different types of windows you can choose, why you should choose them as opposed to another company, pricing, etc. When I say extensive presentation, I mean the sales rep was in our home for 4.5-5 hours! My wife and I had bought our house a few months prior and decided to go ahead and get new windows as our home was 20+ years old and they offered a great warranty. A few weeks later, they came out and made measurements. A few days after that, they placed the windows, all in a single day. And the windows do look fantastic! However.... Fast forward a few months after this, and another sales rep with the company approached us. This time, the sales rep wanted to talk about roof and doors. We reluctantly agreed to set up a time as we were considering putting in an interior door and closing off a room. The date came, and the sales rep showed up at 5 pm. He preceded to give a sales pitch about why we should choose them to do our roof, their reputation, pricing, etc. But this sales man also used scare tactics to imply our roof was in "bad shape", and could "cave in within the next few months", and that one day, maybe soon we would "hear a loud thud" and it would be "too late". My wife and I were skeptical for a few reasons: 1. We had been in the house for less than 1 year at this point and had a VERY thorough inspection done before we purchased it, with no mention of any concern about the roof. 2. The roof looked in good shape and 3. Our neighbors had talked to us before about how the previous owners had recently redone the roof......so not only does this guy try to intimidate us into buying a roof (very overpriced BTW) with PHR using scare tactics, but he also used foul language on more than 1 occasion and semi threatened me mentioning he "knows how to use guns" because he's ex-military.... As if this isn't enough, the meeting/sales pitch started at 5 pm (on a week day) and didn't end until nearly 11 PM!!! I work nights, but my wife had to be up early for work the next day. Needless to say, we both came away from this FURIOUS, ENRAGED, and DISGUSTED with what had happened. Oh, and the door thing I mentioned earlier...yeah PHR doesn't do interior doors, only exterior. So the only reason we agreed to the meeting was to ask about interior doors, which they don't do. For good measure, my wife and I decided to have the attic and roof inspected again. We hired a structural engineer to inspect it, and low and behold, NOTHING WAS WRONG with the attic or roof! We have never been more disgusted and appalled as we were at the tactics Power Home Remodeling used to try to try to take tens of thousands of dollars of our hard earned money for a roof repair we didn't even need.....This all happened months ago, and I finally decided to make this post for a couple of reasons: 1. So hopefully I can save someone else from the hellish nightmare we experienced and 2. Because Power Home Remodeling has the audacity/testicular fortitude/complete lack of awareness to continue to try to call both my wife and me, and called us both today. Im done with these yahoos. They stood me up on my first appointment earlier in the year. After informing another Sam's Rep that I am a GC and do my own windows, he insisted that I set up another meeting to discuss transferring some, or all of my window projects to Power Remodeling. I told him that I was open to reviewing their products and speaking to a rep, but that I would not tolerate being stood up again. I received a confirmation call a few hours before the appointment and was told at that time that they could not meet with me period unless I had a job to measure that day, not even to review the product. To Power management: the sales guy at Sam's is an agent of your company and you have an obligation to follow through. The lack of follow through shows a lack of integrity. keeping an appointment is as basic as it gets, if you can't even handle that, how can you be trusted with my time, my money, and by business or even my own home????? read more

extremely poor sales interaction and tactics. ------- I have seen their window product installed on my relative's house. I liked the product and reached out to this vendor to arrange an appointment. Sales person Brian, who had left me a voicemail previously was unavailable, so i left a voicemail with my information and desire to get a quote. I was called back by another individual several times by a number i did not recognize. The number eventually texted saying Brian had asked him to work with me. The number called again and this time I answered. The individual, can not recall his name, then proceeded to ask me number of windows, if im the owner, etc. He also called me the wrong name and incorrectly identified the relative I had stated in my voicemail. He then put me on hold claiming that Brian was calling him. After several minutes on hold, he came back, made verification of my info/availability. I advised him that my name he was using was incorrect and the relative referrenced was incorrect. The individual apologized and stated he would contact appointment team and get back with me. After several minutes I received the attached text wanting to again confirm the time and advising that he would "look bad" if i cancelled. At this point I decided the sales tactics were this bad i did not want to do business with them and responded that i would pass on the meeting. The individual then attempted 5 phone calls which I declined and sent a text attempting to reassure that it wod be a quick and painless process. Well, after seven months and posts here on yelp and reports to the BBB, I get a call from Jason in the "Warranty Department" about my windows and their insistance that they were right and we were wrong. Their own solution for replacing the windows was with some kind of a "charge". Two window panes out of 18, and all they could do was provide some kind of "discount" for our time, trouble, and aggravtion. On top of not dealing with my issue, Jason turned sarcastic. Shortly thereafter, we ended the call, with Jason inviting me to call if I changed my mind. Yeah, when pigs fly. They're still a minus star in my mind. DO NOT engage these folks for your windows at double the going rate here in DFW, Pella windows or not. When I was in business, my motto was "The customer isn't always right, but they're NEVER wrong." And then proceed to say they are giving you a deal when its like 3X the price of local leading contractors. And the dude got so mad when I said I'll have to think about it and research the price before hand. He was like "Sir, this price wont be here tomorrow...this is only for today". And I was like "Dude...go sell crazy somewhere else...we're all stocked up over here." Trying to punk me into making an on the spot uninformed decision...better get the heck outta here with that...mama ain't raise no foo...so he put his stinky shoes back on and left with his little ipad all upset that he wasn't about to scam me out of time and money. Needless to say, I hired a local contractor and they did an excellent job for way cheaper and with warranty and the guys were so humble and professional...so excellent that the POWERHRG guys came back to talk to us again, and when they saw the work they said "WOW THEY DID A GREAT JOB!" Fraud, Fraud, Fraud Horrible Mistakes on their part that is now costing us dearly. I was quoted a price for windows along with a Monthly Payment. There were several mistakes from the very beginning that had the sales person come back to the house. They do the quotes on an Ipad and never hand you an actual quote. The monthly payment quote they do on there Ipad as well. The bill came in double the monthly payment that I was quoted. When I called financing, the guy immediately told me that my sales person would not remember me. He immediately began to make excuses and basically call me a liar. He went to the point of telling me that I was out of luck until I could find a paper showing the monthly quote. I wrote it on the sales man business card as that is the only way I could get it from them. all I wanted was for him to call the sales person on a three way call. He refused. The financing company even figured out what the sales person had done wrong and even like that, they would not own it. He used the coronavirus as the reason. I do not know what the coronavirus has to do with calling a person on the phone. This individual was the rudest person I had ever dealt with and I have been in retail for 35 years. Until, I told him I was recording him. Became a completely different individual. By the way, they are supposed to do an inspection within a week of installation. month and a half later and no one has come by. I have torn screens and no one answers their phone. They came to my door asking if we needed any exterior work. I said yes, a quick estimate on gutters would be nice. The guy was courteous but took way too long just to finish up and tried to get me to upgrade other things as well. He took my info and scheduled for a few days later. When they called to confirm the appointment, they stressed that my wife needs to be there. It is just gutters, a professional can estimate them in 10 minutes. My roofer did it for me quicker than that but he doesn't specialize in gutters. They tried to get me to change the schedule, and I said no thanks. Their goal, if you read other reviews, is to get in your house and sell you other things you don't need with a pushy presentation. I stressed to everyone I talked to what I wanted and they didn't listen. We decided to get our windows replaced. I was pleased with the product but not satisfied with the demolition/installation process. The contractor was careless and damaged the trim on the siding. The mounting of the hardware was inconsistent. The foam insulation was minimal and the caulking of the interior/exterior surfaces was sloppy. Mistakes were made on our order which caused the project to take over 4 months to complete. I feel there should have been more information shared about the installation process and how it will affect the window ledges. I hope to get the efficiency which was the main selling factor. read more

Best service ever! From door knocker all the way to the install team, everyone was super professional and kind. Even phone interactions we had with this company were incredible! We enjoyed all the product descriptions and how Levi walked us through what we could do to fix our current issues, without breaking the bank. After the appraisal, we had several other estimates; nothing came close to the price and quality Power Home Remodeling had. On the install date each window was perfectly installed, and the team doing it presented themselves very well. My back yard has post holes in random places, one of the installers tripped and broke a screen, and he informed me right away, took pictures, and had a service call to replace it before he left. The windows make our house really stand out well in our neighborhood! We love the quality windows we purchased, plus we have a transferable lifetime warranty if we ever sell our house. read more

RUN AWAY. We got a knock on our door asking if we wanted an estimate on our windows, and it just so happened that we did so we scheduled the estimate. To me, that means 15 minutes measuring and then an emailed quote, right?! WRONG. It was a THREE HOUR sales pitch. The guy came in our house, immediately sat down with no invitation to do so, and removed his mask. That's a big deal as I'm immunocompromised so I really didn't even want someone in our house for 15 minutes. He was so pushy and needy for us to respond to everything he said and ended up quoting us $35,000 for our 9 windows. I asked for an itemized quote and he was astonished I would ask for that (what normal person wouldn't ask for that?!). Tried to emphasize the professionalism of this company, but it's all gaslighting and trying to make you feel guilty for not buying their product. If we need windows, we certainly will NOT be buying from Power, no matter if they are the top contractor of Sam's Club (he wouldn't let us forget that tidbit). read more

Very disappointing experience as the company came highly recommended. I scheduled my appointment for roof assessment. They were flexible with scheduling which was nice. They asked if I had a spouse I advised I was the primary and only decision maker. They again asked if my significant other would be their and again I advise I would be the one making the decision, I am the homeowner, paying and I am the one on the Home Owner Insurance. I received a call to confirm my appointment and they again hounded me about a spouse or partner that needed to be their. When I continued to advise I would be there, I would be ready to make decisions they said we will need to reschedule and literally hung up on me. My marital or relationship status is none of this companies business. I am the responsible party and the paying party - that should be the only thing they should be worried about. I felt discriminated against as a female and a bit harassed at the repeated questioning of my relationship status. Unacceptable. I will be following up with BBB as it appears this is not the companies first time at hounding customers on their 'partner' status. The window are great, they were not put in proper to began with so had to have them out a second time to redo. My Deep freeze was Unplugged by the crew and I lost lots of meat. Power promised to pay only a portion it has been over 2 months and still have not seen the check they say is in the mail. So I get a sales call last week, and set an APPOINTMENT for 10a this morning. At 9a, I get - what I figure will be a confirmation - call from Power. Instead, the guy on the other end wants to know if the Mrs. will be home. I say, maybe, but she's not here now. This guy wanted to reschedule for when she would be here, too. Then, wanted to completely reschedule for another day. The ONLY reason I scheduled this for Monday morning is because I work weekdays overnight, and Monday is best for me. He explained that they would offer many options, and that it would be best for them if we were both here. I get that, but I confirmed that this is my house, and my wife would be okay with my decisions. Do you know he did not want to send a rep out? Do companies not know how to keep an appointment nowadays? I finally got upset, and told him to forget about the whole thing. That's just ludicrous. If I could give no stars, I would.
