Stay far away from this company. My elderly parents got a notice from the water company that they had a leak, and they unfortunately called Power Pro, and more unfortunately Efrain Dominquez showed up. He proceeded to upcharge them outrageously for unneeded work, just adding and adding and making things up. They had leaking toilets. By the time I found out what was going on, their "home improvement contract" was over $8,000! I had to call another plumbing company to come out for a second opinion, and they verified that they were getting completely ripped off and taken advantage of. How is this company still in business?! How do they sleep at night??? My parents are frail and scraping by on a fixed income and this vulture comes in and tries to take what little they have. Now my mom can't even sleep at night. Their actions are bordering on criminal elder abuse. STAY AWAY!!! read more

We have used this company for years. They are always quick to respond and in an emergency were there when we needed them. Recently, however, we used them for a SIMPLE repair - changing two faucets feeding hot/cold water into a washing machine. They charged over $500 for a repair that couldn't have taken more than 30 minutes. This is beyond excessive. Spoke with our regular plumber, and his repair would have included changing out entire "box" for a little more than that same price. And what's even more galling...we have a membership which gave us a discount. This repair without the discount would have been $700!!! Needless to say, we are cancelling membership and will do no further business with this price-gouging outfit. read more

Went to home depot asking for technician to help change my toilet and Home Depot sent me power pro company to help me replace my toilet. When the technician came first thing he asked is my water heater tankless? I was thinking what that have to do with my toilet? And then he went to test my water pressure and said my water pressure is too high I need pipe replacement and I asked how much he said $20,000. All of this without taking a look at my toilet. I asked him how much it cost to install the toilet? He said the labor $678 and the toilet is $250 and he was asking me to join the membership to get a better deal. Total with membership is 909. After he removed my toilet and tell me that I need a new flange installed and I asked isn't it included with the labor? He said no , new flange will cost me another $2800. I was so angry and said just keep the old one. After he finished he told not to use the toilet for 24 hours. After he left I to clean around the toilet and I found the bolts that holding the toilet was loose and I called them back. They sent out another technician after 2 days. The technician came and looked at it and said I need a new flange, first he said it's going cost me $900 and then he looked at the note the last guy left and changed to $2800. I was so angry and said forget it!!! Next day my friend recommended me a technician he used and it only cost me $300 and the technician said this supposed to be included with labor. What got me more pissed is that they installed the cheapest toilet in Home Depot. I don't recommend to use this company. read more

Horrible service. Plumbing team came over to diagnose a a leak and completely missed that a copper pipe had a radiator hose clamp with a rubberband on it. Team did a whole house leak test and tried to convince them to add a blow off valve to the exterior of the house. Also, tried to sell them on the idea of redoing the drainage for the water heater. After I spoke with the lead team member over the phone, he seemed defensive about the whole issue. He started saying that my parents did not tell him where the leak was at. After that, he said that his team had to be paid for the time they spent at our house which is completely unprofessional. Team could not find the leak and they just wanted to upsell my parents for everything. Attached is a radiator hose clamp on a copper pipe which clearly sticks out to the naked eye. I call Power Pro Plumbing because I thought I had a water leak. I found water in the living Room. i booked the appointment for 12:00. He showed up a 5:00. He looked around the house. I said I thought it was a slab leak. He went upstair. At the time I had the water runnning to the outside swimming pool. He never asked about that or any other water running. He took me out to the water main. The water wheel was spinning. He concluded that there was a massive interior leak...probably in the wall causing deadly mold to grow. We went back into the house. He sawed a hole in the drywall upstairs to find the leak. no luck. Then he said it would cost $2,900 to find and fix the problem. A problem I was lead to believe was a massive interior water leak. I asked him whether he thought the leak could be fixed. He said most definitely. I asked him whether he would charged me for the search if he could find it. He said, yes, $2030.00. Obviously I was concerned about paying $2,030.00 for just searching the house. He could not give me any guarantees but he just knew he could find and fix it. After putting several more holes in the wall, he went downstairs and told me it was a slab leak. It would cost $15,000. He left without repairing the drywall...charged $2,030 for the search. I called a plumber the next day. He checked the main water meter, found no leak and diagnosed the problem to be a drainage issue. First things first. Eddie's the best. And this was a repeat visit. Under warranty. Marvin was here earlier in the day and had to remove my toilet and snake the line. When Marvin left he showed me it flushed fine. But I guess he hadn't released the entire clog so after using it a couple times I was back to clog. Eddie to the rescue. But not only Eddie but the dispatcher whose name starts with an L and I just can't remember what it was but she deserves a shout out to because she got someone back here the same day. I can't say enough good things about this company. I priced the work with 6 other plumbers. All of them were more expensive. And this was the only company that gave free estimates. Literally there is no other plumbing company I could find that gave free estimates. Absolutely amazing. Am I the only one that noticed that it's with most plumbers and 80 or $90 charge and then they will give you an estimate and Applied the lady and 90 if you do the work with them. I will note how they ripped off my family 1. Pressure regulator $1072.50 2. Ball valve $688.05 We found out that the ball valve and pressure regulator is 1 job we received another estimate from another plumbing Co. For $975 for both parts and labor. 3. Rebuild 2 toilets with only a fill valve and flapper $789.94 We found out the parts for both toilets were less then $25 and less than 10 min worth of work. Estimate from another co. $175 parts and labor. 4. My uncle and my aunt received a letter from HB that they were using to much water the city told them that most likely it was running toilet the cause after talking to another plumbing Co. The 1st thing they do is check for running toilets these guys went straight to electronic leak detection and charged my family $412.50 the average charge for a leak detection is $225. 5. Also quoted my family who are elderly $5650 to do a spot repair 4x4x7 feet deep we got and estimate for $4000 but that co. Said that off set was most likely their when the house was built. 6. Permits $492.80 normal cause for this type of work to pull permits $200 that's including plumbers time. Absolute crooks abused abused abused of my 84 year old aunt and my 85 year old uncle. Beware of salesmen! I trusted bigger companies due to them being around longer but yet the employees I'm assuming get paid the most is by commission. I watched Youtube and the technician said 80% of the time it's the capacitor. Unfortunately, you can't buy one unless your licensed so I called to have it checked out. I paid $89 for an inspection. The tech told me that my system doesn't turn on because it's low on freon and there's a leak that's located in a hard area to fix. It's an old unit but it was working fine the day before. He said best thing is to change the unit outside which would cost no less than $6000. Called another company for a 2ed option and had it up in running in 15 min after REPLACING THE CAPACITOR!!!!!! The reason I am giving 2 stars is for: 1. Quick response time 2. Free estimate 3. Technician was polite We needed to get our washing machine valves replaced as we got a new machine and the old ones are busted and we could not get the hot water valve to stop draining water. I called them because we used them a few years ago to fixing some plumbing issues and they were nice and quick so I thought what the heck. Let's have them come out and see how much it would cost. Seeing that I did some research I didn't think that the cost would be more than about $500-$700 (within our budget due to the current economic state) to cut into the wall, install the box and replace the valves. The service technician came out and did an assessment and told me that to fix this issue would be $2900 (oh sorry $2700 with a 10% discount) to cut and replace the box and valves for the washing machine!! What a joke and completely OVERPRICED!! They are commission based and will pull all your money. Oh and to top it off he asked what type of pipes we have and I told him I was unsure so he looked under the sink and said they were plastic. Well he did not look at the actual pipe, but the connector piece which is plastic connected to a COPPER PIPE! I ended up calling a plumber we know in HB (I live in Eastvale) and told him what I was quoted and he laughed and could not believe it. He was kind enough to send one of his guys over less than 24 hours later to come and fix our valves and saved us over $2000 in repairs!! We had a huge plumbing issue in our laundry facility at our mobile home park and was pleased with the urgency they took with the issue. Luis Ramirez first helped trying to fix the problem with a snake but the issue was bigger than expected. After hours of snaking different locations Luis called his associate Tavo Zavala to do a jet flush and camera to find the problem. Tavo was very professional and polite. Efrain was my technician for the day. I needed to figure out why my sump pump wasn't working in order to drain the crawlspace of my home from the recent rains. Efrain was patient and helpful as he figured out all I needed was to replace the hose I was using. Once the hose was replaced, he stood there for at least 20 minutes to drain as much of the water as he could. Efrain was courteous, professional and expedient. Diagnostic service, lift the hood and look at filters. Well sheesh I did that. Did not unscrew unit, even though I asked. Said " this is what you will see" there's no need. Oh and ma'am you have high pressure in the system, I don't know why....hmmmm. I was told to call the company of my mini split system to order part and install myself. This company was hired through Home Depot to replace a garbage disposal for $199. When the technician arrived, he looked at the existing disposal and stated that it was going to cost extra to remove the existing disposal flange from the sink. It seemed like that should have been included, since it is part of the existing garbage disposal. When I asked how much extra, he told me $350 extra! And then he tried to further rationalize it by saying the new disposal was not the exact same size, so he would have to modify the existing plumbing. I called the company to explain, and they said they would call me back. They have not called me back as of the time of this review, and I told the technician to leave. I honestly can't believe what happened. I have a 4 year old water 100 gallon water heater at my house. It stopped working yesterday. I called Power Pro Plumbing and they sent a technician, Efrain, out to assess the problem. He told me it was fault code 57 - a flame sensor shorted to ground. I asked if he was able to fix it on site or if parts needed to be ordered. He went to his truck for 10 minutes and came back. Efrain said his Manager told him to replace the unit - that was the only way. I asked if they usually replace units if there is a fault code. Why would the machine go to the trouble of having fault codes if the answer is to replace it??? Because mine is a larger commercial Bradford White unit, the cost to replace it would be about $10-12,000. TEN TO TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! I said it seemed like the equivalent of getting a flat tire on a car and your mechanic says, "You have to get rid of your car." I asked politely why the internet has tons of videos of people cleaning the flame sensor of corrosion or moisture. Why would this unit need replacement? Why could it not be fixed? Efrain said that was the only way. Replace the unit. Not possible to fix. He left. I called another plumber who came by and looked inside. He said there was some condensation inside the flame sensor. It was totally fine and didn't need to be replaced. He asked if I had some canned air (which I did) and he cleaned off the sensor. That other plumber charged me $150. So one plumber said everything was good and nothing was really wrong. Power Pro Plumbing Heating and Air wanted to charge me $12,000. I never write reviews but this made me angry. I felt like this company wanted to take advantage of me. My water heater works just fine now. The other plumber said it was in top notch condition to boot because we have a whole-house water filter so there was almost no sediment/corrosion. read more

This is our second time using Power Pro Plumbing. They are awesome! Very responsive, extremely professional and Marlon, our technician, was in and out with repairing our sink clog. Comparatively, we used another vendor a year ago for the same service and they were messy (left us to clean up pipe gunk!), took a long time, the technician was a bit abrasive and their pricing was through the roof. Power pro to the rescue again. TiVo and his partner were so friendly and reliable. And I totally trusted them. They arrived quickly finish the job thoroughly and even did a little side bonus for me. I can't say enough good things about them. I usually have my main drain opened every 10 months because I was having toilet blockages about once a year. So now I have them come out every 10 months and they pull roots out of my line to prevent a back up. TiVo was great as has all the plumbers that have done this service from Power Pro (Cerritos). I had a problem with my old Water Heater, called couple of plumbers for quotes to replace the water heater. Their price was higher than the others however, the reason I selected them was: 1)the Company personnel was available any time I called and would be available to install the Water Heater on a short notice. 2)the personnel over the phone (Maria and Chrissy) were very pleasant and accommodating, kept me informed as to when the technician would be coming to the house to give me an estimate ( at no charge) and indeed, he was there at the door right on time. 3)the technician, Johny M. came by, we discussed the options. This Company's prices were somewhat more expensive than the other quotes I received however, the technician, Johny M. convinced me that their product, service, maintenance and warranty exceeds and excels what other plumbers give as warranty. He convinced me that I should pay a little more for the extras that they guarantee. I was sold. And I think I made a good choice. I am very happy of the work this young man has done with the new Water Heater. He also gave me a coupon of 10% off which lowered the price a little bit. Johny M. Is a good Customer Service person for the Company besides being a good technician, it shows that he knows his products well, it shows that he likes his job with POWER PRO PLUMBING, he is very pleasant to work with, and he smells good too. I gave a 5 stars despite the fact that the prices are a little higher than elsewhere, but the service is excellent, on time, precision, courteous. All this is important to me. read more

We would never recommend Power Pro Plumbing to anyone. We had a horrible experience with them.  We hired them to fix a running toilet, paid them $200+ before finding out that the leak was not fixed and they failed to honor their "warranty" and refused to give us a refund. The part they used did not fit our toilet so the toilet continued to leak but they refused to purchase the part from the original equipment manufacturer because they would only source from their warehouse supplier. So rather than purchasing a $25 part they said we need to pay $450 to replace our toilet (not including the cost of a new toilet) and they refuse to give us full credit for the $200+ we already paid. (They would only give us a $100 credit.) At this point we feel like we are being scammed. We spent hours arguing with customer service rep Rachel, who could not comprehend that we should not have to pay when they failed to make the repair that they were hired to do. Also, another word of warning - We tried to contest the bill with our credit card company but failed because when you pay your bill (before we realized that the toilet was still leaking) they make you sign something on which there is a fine print that makes you sign away your rights.  The bad news is that we are out $200 for failed repair, but we wanted to warn anyone who is considering this company of our experience. read more
