Nori watching has daddy leave to get his mommy donuts!

It wasnt busy at all and its in a nice plaza. I juat felt like an apple fritter so I made my husband get me one while we were on our adventure to starbucks. This place takes cash only. Booooo. The fritter was 2.95$. Is it me or donuts that expensive now? This place is tiny! The fritter was good but it was also freshly baked. I never carry cash so that's my problem here. Luckily my husband had 3 bucks lmao!

Still the best donuts in town. Reasonably priced and easy to get in and out of. Super clean. Even with inflation, they haven't skimped on the size of their product which is greatly appreciated. I live in 4S Ranch but still make the trek to PQ for the freshness and quality you can taste. Always excellent service. Be back soon!

NOTHING beats PQ Donuts!! Always fresh and delicious. It is the classic SoCal donut shop feel. Cash only, no cards or apple/android pay. I thought I would also post the updated hours and menu

Great local donut shop! Stopped in on a Sunday morning to grab a couple of donuts and donut holes. I was surprised to see them open on an Easter Sunday. I got a chocolate covered donut with sprinkles and a white chocolate donut with sprinkles. I also got 12 donut holes ($2). The donut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles was delicious as were the glazed donut holes. Service was friendly and efficient! They accept cash only, FYI! I'll definitely be back!

Tasty donuts! Cash only! 4.5 round up for small business. Came by on a Friday at 9am and half the selection seemed gone. Ordered a half dozen mixed and it came to about $7.50 (included a giant apple fritter). The man working the counter was polite. The quality of the donuts was definitely there. There was no old oil taste that some donut shops have.. and everything definitely tasted fresh. I guess you have to come earlier (esp on a friday) to see what the selection is. About 1/3 of the three cases were empty.. Cake donuts were very fluffy and moist.. apple fritter was delicious.. buttermilk was to die for. Definitely a good shop that I can imagine returning to! One of the better ones in this area for sure! Give them a try! And fun thing is you can swing out and pull into the the mexican food shop next door via drive through for a hashbrown burrito. Yum. Check them out! Support small! :)

We came here on a Sunday morning at 9AM and drove around the parking lot like dummies for far too long before realizing this little shop is attached to / behind Cotija! Ordered an apple fritter, maple bar, an old fashioned and chocolate donut which came to about $5. Delicious delicious delicious and would definitely return. Note they are cash only.

Ambiance was top-notch--the smell of donuts will hit you the moment you pull their door open. It was bright and inviting inside. Their aesthetic was a blend of modern minimalist, and I loved it. Service was quick and staff was very friendly. She was patient and cheerfully offered recommendations, which we beyond appreciated. She also offered some samples of some of their donuts and they were pretty much fresh off the oven. And speaking of donuts... oh, the donuts were HEAVENLY. They were all still warm when we got them in our box. Every single one we got was soft, pillowy and decadent with just the right amount of sweetness. Some of them were so unique that I never thought it'd work well being a donut, but it did! Flavors we tried: Passionfruit Pavlova Mango Sticky Rice Choc-a-lot Maple Bacon Butter & Salt Old Fashion Saigon Cinnamon Crumb The biggest surprise was the Mango Sticky Rice--very unique and tasty at the same time. It was a donut and a dessert in one. My favorite was the Maple Bacon--sweet & salty is always a winner for me, but it was the bacon that was crunchy and NOT old & chewy that really brought this one home for me. I already see us coming back here soon. Next time though, I'd love to try one of their coffee drinks too!

I got the old fashioned and it was perfectly sweet, not overly sweet at all. Paired really well with their cold brew, but it was a bit on the bitter side. Next time I would try a donut with an iced americano to cut the sweetness instead. I love that they have rotating flavors and specials, Wednesdays they have cinnamon rolls and Fridays they have apple fritters. Employees were very friendly, line moved fast too.

We absolutely love this place!…read more This was our first time visiting their new location, the cashier said it has a larger kitchen. I'm so happy for them! The decor is so cute like stepping into a cartoon and the donuts are the main attraction. The chocolate bar came in around $2 and the other donuts we bought were up to $6. I was happy to see they still have the Homer, which is one of my favorites and the Vanilla Bean. Looks like they've added some new additions, namely cinnamon rolls. My daughter's favorite thing when she was younger was the strawberry milk on tap. I think it was the novelty of milk being on tap. It felt special for her as a kid. Now it looks like they've bottled it and put it in the refrigerated section near check out, for a quick and convenient beverage to go. There's a small section for Donut Bar merch with all sorts of things to choose from and some outdoor seating for enjoying your sweet treats on a glorious San Diego day. The donuts came in a simple white box with a black and white sticker. There's a surprise within that sticker! The sticker says to scan the QR code to bring the image to life...so we did! It's a super cute warm welcome from Chef Santiago! It looks like they've went towards an Augmented Reality theme. I didn't notice an upstairs at this location and the cashier said they no longer have the encore, which is something I used to love. It was when the Donut Bar reopened around 5pm at night on weekends, if I remember correctly. It was a blast. Overall, it's still our go to donut place when visiting San Diego. The employees are friendly and welcoming, and the donuts are sweet and yeasty. We love it!

FOR THE WIN!!! (4.75 stars)…read more I love donuts. And I tend to stick to basic classical donuts. And therefore I am late to the trend with the mochi donuts! This location is inside Bober Tea and Coffee. There is a glass casing with several flavors to choose from and they sell at $3 a piece. The one that stood out to me was the chocolate with sprinkles. Upon receiving it in a paper pocket bag, the icing was rubbing off on the bag. That immediately told me this is super fresh! I could already feel the softness of the donut. The little sectioned off ball looking segments of the donut are also a game changer when it comes to eating - easier to eat without making a mess! The texture was bouncy, soft, lightly chewy and a little stretchy... the texture was fun and I found myself wanting another afterwards. I do wish they had offer other flavors that don't sounds too sweet because the other flavors didn't really catch me. Until the next review...
