We called and described the issue, letting the recipient know we needed someone familiar with Carrier systems, and gave them the make/model of our system. They informed us that someone would come out and help us on Monday between 9-12 AM. Jeremy came and helped us out. It turned out to be a condenser pan filled with water. He helped us drain the water and troubleshoot the source, and it only cost us $230 for an hour if time and some minimal labor. Very satisfied with his help!

He quoted me $169 for the service and the capacitor. While checking the unit, he mentioned that another capacitor on the roof also needed to be replaced, quoting $285 for that part. Additionally, he clarified that the $169 service fee did not include the cost of the indoor capacitor, which would be an extra $165. I found this pricing quite unusual and expressed my concern, to which he replied that these parts are generally expensive. The total came to $589, but Devin said he provided a discount, bringing it down to $500. I asked him to leave the old capacitors for me to inspect. After doing some research online, I found that one capacitor was priced under $20 and the other slightly above that amount. I have included pictures for your reference.
