I switched to Hoehn to service my Cadillac this year and their customer service meets their expertise on the cars. I had my car serviced twice with them and I was really happy with their service. They are always on time on delivery, they are very professional, they wash the car every single time and advised me on warranties in a timely fashion. The last time I visited them, they replaced my car's hydraulic pump for free as it was under warranty and did not try to make any money out of it from me (unlike some other service companies out there). The reason why I am unable to give them a 5 star is because the last time I got my car serviced by them, the rubber lining that runs across the door came off and hence the door never shut properly and I had to fix it myself (which wasn't a big deal anyway). This doesn't mean that I will stop going to Hoehn :) read more

Had a very good experience with the service department for our Buick. I was very thankful that the service rep advocated on my behalf to our warranty company and was able to get us a brand new transmission (which was badly needed). We've since picked up the vehicle and it's running fantastic now. The only slight issue may have been that progress seemed to stall over the few weeks the Buick was there until I called to see what was going on, but after the first status call the service rep was pretty on top of it from that point on. Definitely recommend for Buick service needs. read more

Just picked up a used car from hoehn. Since i live 400 miles away, i really needed to trust who i was dealing with. I did my research, read over a hundred reviews and based on those reviews i chose Willie Moreno to deal with.....he was everything i expected. I special ordered a 2021 GMC pickup 2 mos ago & gave them a $2500 Check confirming the order & price. When it arrived 2 mos later, they raised the price $700. When I said my deposit was considered as contract they (sales mgr "& GM) said it wasn't & they were refunding my deposit & keeping the truck to sell at over MSRP, due to a shortage of inventory. This blatant disregard for common courtesy & what I call deceptive practices for auto dealers is well below their already low standards. Talk about customer service? My husband took his 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 All-Terrain pickup to this service department because he had an intermittent engine light. They ran a computer diagnostic and told him he needed two new fuel injectors which would cost over $900. When he told them he wanted to get other estimates, they charged $150 just for the diagnostic!! It's like they hold your vehicle hostage unless you pay their inflated service charges...and by the way they never mentioned that it could just be clogged fuel injectors. A friend of ours suggested a fuel injector cleaner and it solved the problem : $7 at WalMart. These guys are a rip-off! read more

We spent the last few months looking to purchase a new car. We visited many dealerships in Carlsbad looking to detremine what vehicle best fit us. We had no intention of buying a GM. One of our last stops was Hoehn Buick. We were greeted by Jerry Kirtley, and he did everything to help us determine what vehicle fit our needs, along with options we wanted. Jerry was helpfull, not pushy, and gave us finacing options, different deals on 2017s and 2018s, and searched stock to see what was available. We ended up purchasing a 2017 Buick Lacrosse. great ride, good looks and well built. We highly recommend Jerry, and Hoehn, to all our freinds. PS. My wife Jo was to pick up the car on Tuesday. Because they were delayed on Tuesday with the final prep, she was unable to pick up until Wednesday. This is strictly for the sales department. The events took place between 11/11 - 11/12/2017. On Saturday 11/11 I spoke with Aaron from Sales. I was interested in a Cadillac XT5 they had for sale but i wanted specific things that you can have on a Luxury instead of jumping up to a Premium Luxury. I was very specific that I wanted the LED package was a 900 dollar option. He told me that the vehicle had everything that i wanted. We agreed on a price over the phone and that i would make the one hour drive to go lease it. On Sunday 11/12 I met up with Aaron to check it out. It didn't have anything that he said it had. Just a basic luxury. I was so mad. I told him specifically what I wanted. He tried telling me that the I couldn't get the LED package on a Luxury and that i would have to jump up to a Premium luxury. I told him now. I could tell that he was getting mad because he was making all the weird faces every time i would tell him something. So for giggles i showed him an advertised priced at another dealership for a premium and to see if he could match the price. He went to go talk to his manager and I could clearly hear them talking s*** about me and the advertise price that i gave him. he came back at over 700 dollars a month for the same car. Apples for apples. that was 400 dollars more then the advertised price that I gave them. What a waste of time and how rude Aaron and his team were. Stay away. read more

Buyer beware!! We have had nothing but problems with our purchase from this dealership!! In November 2016 we bought a 2008 GMC Yukon with a low 72k miles. We were also sold the extended warranty and maintenance package. We live about 120 miles from the dealership; on the day we went to pick up our car, the navigation system was not working as it had when we first test drove the vehicle. The dealership ended up keeping the car to fix the problem. (so we drove 240 miles that day with 2 small kids in tow and no vehicle brought home). We negotiated for the dealership to then deliver the vehicle to our house once the problem had been fixed. On the day of delivery, the driver dropped off the vehicle to us, navigation working, only to fail again within the week. (1st problem) When we purchased the warranty and maintenance package, we were assured that this would be accepted at any GM Dealership as we live 120 miles away. Wrong! Upon taking our car for an oil change which is included in the maintenance plan, we were advised after much digging and frustration that in fact, this is only valid at the GM Dealership in Carlsbad from where we purchased our vehicle. (so we would need to drive 240 miles for an oil change!?) After expressing much frustration with the dealership, they assured us they would refund the maintenance portion of the plan and that it would just 'roll into' the loan balance......right... (2nd problem) 14 months after our purchase, as I'm exiting the freeway with my children in the car, my engine completely stops just as I'm headed through a major intersection. Thanks to the help of good samaritans we made it through the intersection and needed to be towed to the nearest GM dealership. Our current diagnostic is that the engine needs to be completely replaced at the tune of $9,000! Are you kidding me!! Oh, and that warranty package that we purchased does not cover diagnosing problems AND they are trying to fight with us every step to not cover the repairs! 14 months!!!! I can't believe this. We should've seen the signs on the first day that we went to pick up our car. So, at just over a year of our purchase, everything this dealership has sold us is garbage. read more

Couldn't be happier with Hoehn! We live in Temecula but ended up driving to Carlsbad to buy our Escalade, Danny the internet manager was on it! While other dealers spun around in circles playing number games and trying to do the "four square" Danny sent us payment estimates and gave us his best price right off the bat. We literally showed up, signed the contract and left. He beat other dealers that had the same exact platinum Escalade by over $2,000.. Vince Love is a rockstar! My new car had a few items on the due bill and Vince called me immediately to set up a time to drop off my car and provided me with a loaner. He ensured every square inch of my black car was immaculate before I left. He called me daily with updates about my car and called me back promptly anytime I left a message. He is such a great guy and a huge asset to the Hoehn group, a stellar employee. I really liked the fact that I had one person to communicate with the entire time and that he knew all the details about my vehicle. It started with a casual conversation with Willie Moreno one week and ended with me driving away with a new GMC truck the following week as happy as can be. If I could give this zero stars I would! I sent in a request for information on an Envision and received a reply back from Shay, my salesperson. We corresponded through email, text, and verbally on the phone. I had been looking at several different cars over the last 6 months including the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Edge and Explorer, Chevrolet Traverse, and my top choice the Buick Envision. I was in a difficult situation of being approximately 10k upside down on my current lease from Kia and I didn't have a lot of money to put down. I noticed that the Buick's went on sale for a great price and that's when I contacted Buick for more info. I had already been to the National City Buick a few months before since it is by my house, but they were incredibly aggressive there and I felt like a guppy in a pool of sharks. I called and went to Marvin K. Brown Buick and was told, they could only sell from their lot and they couldn't trade between dealerships. I decided to go with your Carlsbad location even though it is an hour away from my home (without traffic). I met with Shay and from the beginning, I felt like I was an imposition. I wanted to know the features of the car and how they worked but he immediately wanted me to test drive. There was another couple looking at the same Envision I was looking at in the showroom and the salesman was telling them all about the features and how they worked. I told Shay I wanted to wait a minute to test drive because I wanted to learn about the car and the other salesman was doing such a great job explaining everything. The other couple left and I asked Shay to show me some of the features on the car and he said, "Like what?". I told him "anything" and I started to point out features like the back liftgate, handles on how to put the seat down, the instrument display, and so on. He acted like I was putting him out. He gave me a very lackluster explanation of things and I had to ask more and more questions to just get the most basic idea of how things worked. After taking the test drive we sat down to discuss the black with tan interior Envision that I came for. It was inside the showroom and I asked if they had another one that was the same because I didn't want a car that had people crawling all over it and I didn't want a demo car either. I wanted a new car with a new car smell that I could take joy in driving in. There was not another car with the same colors that were not in the showroom, but he told me that "if it made me feel any better, the black car was only in the showroom for 3 days". It made me feel a little better, but if I was going to buy a new expensive-to-me car, I should get what I really wanted. There was a red with tan interior Envision in Cathedral City, and Shay said they could bring it there for me. Once again, the car in the picture was in the showroom which I didn't want. They had another model that was more money (the Essence) and that was not in the showroom. Great! After talking to Shay about getting it to their location, he asked me,"Are you definitely going to buy the car because I don't want to waste any time on this if you aren't sure". Wow! I said I wanted it and he proceeded with my credit application and working the details out in getting the other car from Cathedral City. I waited 2 1/2 hours just to sign papers. I kept saying I could come back tomorrow and was told it would be another 10-15 minutes. once again, that took 2 1/2 hours. The car was supposed to be there the next day because I was going out of town the day after that. I contacted Shay around noon the next day and he said they were heading over shortly. I get a call at 5:00 pm that they hit traffic and couldn't be there in time to prep the car for me so I could take it that day. Now I have to drive an additional 1 1/2 hours to go up to Carlsbad and rush through getting the car because I needed to get going on my trip. After I arrived to take ownership of my new car, there were white spots on the car by the door and when I asked about it, Shay said not to worry, it was just prepping tape and would come right off when I washed it. It turned out to be a chip in the paint! I will say that Shay gave me a good intro on the basics of the instrument panel. However, while he was explaining it I noticed the mileage on the car was 640 miles. What?! This is supposed to be a NEW car. When I bought the car, the finance guy wrote in mileage as 350 miles. When I asked why so much, I was told it was because they were driving it there, and it was "just a cushion". I didn't want a car with so many miles but was again told not to worry. Imagine when I saw 640 miles! I was told by Shay it was because they drove it over from Cathedral City and there were test drives. I felt trapped. I had already signed my car over and bought this one. I was in a time crunch which Shay knew and I didn't have time to look into the matter more. The mileage from Cathedral City to Carlsbad I now know is 125-148 miles. read more

He was really professional and always provided timely updates while I was waiting for my vehicle to be repaired. He even provided me with a rental car at no cost to me which was outstanding! He was very down to earth and easy to talk to , it seemed as he understood my frustration and truly wanted to make my experience better . I went by the parts department to order a Emissions sticker for my vehicle today, which requires taking down my VIN, putting an order in and and waiting 5 days to receive it. They started out by saying " its not in stock " ,I get that it CANT be in stock when its a special order item that needs to be made with my vehicles VIN number on it, then they said oh it looks like another dealership has it in stock ( 40 min away ) . WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE , but i figured id call them just to verify, they said any dealer can order it no one will have it on hand because they need to be made specific to your VIN.. So i tell them this, they said yeah only thing we can do is have you PAY to have the service department do a write up and inspection on your car to find the VIN.. what!?!!? The younger guy at the counter seemed puzzled himself but his manager had NO intentions of trying to help, and didn't even come to the front from behind his desk where his cell phone was more important at the time. I have worked in the parts business for years and this was the worst experience i have seen. I went to another dealership and the process took 5 minutes to get it ordered, done. I bought a car here, don't expect it to be clean or shine. All they want to do, is move cars, and push sales. They did a quick wash, I could still see marks that could have been washed and buffed out. The inside of the car....marks all over, stickiness in the cup holders, absolutely poor customer service and absolute laziness! (Really?!? How do the detail guys even keep their job?) Second, I traded in my car, as true, as most dealerships, they will give you a stupid price. That's just typical.
