    1/2 dozen donuts
    Paula T.

I paid $25.xx for ONE dozen donuts. I am a little confused by that price because the donuts are not fancy. It's pretty basic donuts. Mind you the donuts they sell here are the same kind as Safeway and I know Safeway sells their donuts for only $7.99 per dozen. The donuts tasted like donuts lol nothing unique and it wasn't as fluffy as I'm used to. I got here around 9:30am and the donuts selection were low. Owner was nice though :)

A small donut shop nestled in a dense suburban area in Sac. First time visiting, and I like the type of donut that's here in that the donuts have a bready-edge to them. The donuts have a slight chewy give to them but they're still soft; think of it as donuts that have qualities of a good dinner roll. Get the chocolate cream-filled donut! The cream is really light and pairs well with the chocolate. The bear claw donut has the same good donut base, but the apple pie filling is a little too gooey (reminds me of pie filling from a can). There are also danishes here (not sure if they're available regularly). The danish bread base on both of the ones that I got is a little dry, but the fillings make them still worth getting. Rich, but not-too-sweet, cherry filling on one and boldly-flavored almond paste filling on the other. Pretty good donut shop. Since it's a small place the donut selection isn't grand, but it's still well worth a visit if you're in the area and are craving for some sweet treats!

so i ordered the glazed and maple twists and they were very good. not greasy like most donuts and the frosting was light and not overly sweet. definitely an equilibrium of frosting to dough ratio. very delicious. also the dough was very pillowy and soft like a cloud. definitely worth trying. oh and also the employee was very friendly n the place was hella clean. for sure worth going here. i'd def come back since prices are pretty fair too.

TL;DR: We love going to our neighborhood donut shop. I'm not a huge fan of overly sweet treats, so donuts aren't usually something I crave, but I do love the chocolate bars here. They are huge! I like that their donuts are soft and pillowy and have a nice fluffy dough. I also prefer when donuts don't have a thick layer of glaze or chocolate topping. The ratio of the chocolate bar works for me and one bar is plenty for one sitting! LOCATION/PARKING: They are located in a small shopping center by Taco Bell, next to Zecky's Fish Tacos. The center doesn't really get a lot of traffic, so parking is easy on any given day. ATMOSPHERE: Its a pretty standard small donut shop. Simple and clean. Love seeing the big display full of donuts first thing in the morning. No seating, just the display and the register. SERVICE: The staff is friendly. I've even had some nice conversation with a lady that works there. Overall, the service is quick and pleasant. FOOD: The chocolate bar is my go-to, since I usually prefer less sweet or more simple/classic donut varieties. My BF has tried plenty of options from the cake and old fashioned donuts to the apple fritters. The size of the donuts are larger compared to other shops, so the value is great! I really want to try their Creme Brûlée donut after seeing it on their Instagram page, but I haven't seen it at the shop during the times I've been so far. Their breakfast sandwiches look really good too but I heard they sell out fast and are only offered after 8am on weekends. PRICE: Assorted Dozens are $17 and Half Dozens are $8.50 ($1.50 extra for "fancy"). Individual donuts range from $1.35 for cakes and raised to $2.50 for the apple fritters and cinnamon rolls. Croissants are $2.50 for plain and $4.50 for Ham & Cheese. They also have a variety of hot and cold beverages. A small coffee is $1.95 and large is $2.45.

Nice local donut place in Elk Grove. Tried the cinnamon roll and a few other donuts. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Still haven't found an establishment that sells a glazed and frosted donut. It's one or the other but never both. Why can't we get both!?! The apple fritter looked good, I'll have to try that one next time.

My favorite donut shop been going here for years since I was a little girl, even when I moved further a way I still find myself coming back for their donuts. I saw on their IG yesterday that they had a creme brûlée donut (its something that they're trying out. Weekends only and available at 8am). Also on weekends, on a trial basis a sausage egg croissant . All yummy and delicious. I just love how their donuts taste. Its nice a fluffy. I love it when they do new things. Definitely worth a try.

    Apple donuts, so so yummy!

Each and every time I make a trip to Sacramento, I make sure to stop by this spot. Donuts are fresh and delicious. Customer service is spot on and follows Covid protocol. I came in and forgot to wear my mask and they kindly reminded me to have my mask on indoors. I will always support businesses who ensure the health and safety of their customers.

Best donut shop around. We have been coming here for years. The ham and cheese croissant is hands down THE best! They recently made custom donuts for our baby shower and man were they a hit. Soooooo cute and of coarse delicious.

Unfortunately, we had the displeasure of being helped by Trish. She was noticeably rude to my sister from the start. The irritation and outright contempt she displayed were unlike anything we've experienced at this location. She even spoke negatively about our order to the coworker making the drinks while we were standing just a few feet away, which was incredibly unprofessional. When we received the no-ice drinks, we understood that ordering without ice might mean the cup wouldn't be completely full. However, the amount of the drink we were given was unacceptable. While the drinks are delicious and worth to us, they are $8.00! Thankfully, when we requested a refund, it was handled by a different employee who was kind, courteous, and professional. I want to end by saying that my sister was polite and respectful throughout the entire interaction. The way she was treated was completely uncalled for, and we left feeling very disappointed. We have been visiting this location for many years and have never had an experience like this before.

It's a small coffee truck tucked into a tiny lot next to another business on Elk Grove Florin Road in between Bond Road and Elk Grove Blvd. Even though there's only 2 people working, their service was professional and courteous. At first I was wondering why they took someone's order then stepped away to make drinks before they thanked us for our patience and came back a few minutes later to take the orders for the person in front of me then myself. I'm not a coffee drinker but I thought I'd try their hot chocolate and banana muffin. Their hot chocolate was actually hot and stayed hot much longer than most other places' hot chocolates. It had a really creamy cocoa taste which I loved. Their banana muffin with walnuts was flavorful as well. I kind of wish they offered the option for warm muffins as mine was cold but it was still good. The only negative I could possibly think of is their parking situation. I was fortunate enough to be on my bike but it was kind of worrying to see cars trying to enter and exit. Maybe 3 or 4 cars tops can park in their tiny lot and I witnessed people constantly honking at each other while trying to enter and exit. However, that has no bearing on my review of their food and service. Overall, I enjoyed my little visit here. I'll have to try their giant chocolate chip cookie next time with a nice cup of hot cocoa.

She chose Carpenter coffee roasters which is a small local coffee truck right off Elk Florin. We parked and walked up to the truck. I was hesitant because of the small menu, but don't let that fool you because the coffee they use is really REALLY GOOD! We ordered an iced vanilla latte and an iced white mocha. I usually stay away from drinks with dairy (lactose intolerant, LOL) but my daughter ordered my drink and gave me the: "just try it" look. And boy was she right! The coffee they use cuts through but the white chocolate created a smooth creamy aftertaste. Soooo good! As for my daughter Latte, it disappeared, but failed to give me her review jumping on the plane Like any place, for food or drink not everyone's palette is the same so you'll have to try for yourself but be honest for other yelpers out there. In terms of espresso, the beans are slightly bold, but quite acidic. I wasn't a fan of the aftertaste as it left a textured coating on my tongue, perhaps it's because of the almond milk. If you prefer coffee forward drinks, I'm not sure if the common ground would suffice. I did find the color a bit light, however that could be the sweetened condensed milk or that they have a higher milk to coffee ratio. In terms of their customer service, it was not the greatest but not the worst. The barista seemed pretty disinterested, but he did answer my question regarding sweetness level. I definitely want to give them another chance and see if it was just an off day.
