Part 7 in The House That Yelp Built. After 2 prior electricians and $3000 to give me power in half of the house I just bought, my handyman walked in and boom, no power. I was about to lose my mind. We engaged with Premo to get a second estimate for a potential rewiring job in our garage. We were not put off by the request to take measurements and photos but it was hard to do the situation justice. A visit to evaluate would certainly have helped and saved emails and conversations with George and Richard. Being science-trained people and reasonably handy, my wife and I did some investigation ourselves and mapped our breakers to the light, garage door opener, and socket circuits in the garage which proved illuminating. We figured a simpler change might be a first step to solving our GCFI triggering issue. After talking it over with George, we agreed to an incremental approach. He sent Christian who added a GFCI and modified the wiring in the back of another to protect our office from the garage GCFI triggering. We appreciate Premo agreeing with us to approach our issue incrementally and we will see if we survive this winter without the GFCI triggering with each rain. if we still have a problem, we will call them back. read more

I called and left message to get a quote on installing an EV Charger for my new Ford Mach E. A few hours later I get a text back and phone call. They sent a questionaire to ask me several important questions about the status of where I wanted it placed, what type of vehicle, pictures of the electrical box; everything they would need to give you an accurate quote and correct scope of work to be performed. Within 24 hours, I received the quote. Their flexibility to schedule the appointment was important and I chose them over other quotes. Their quote was within the estimates I had received from others. Niall came at the appointed window time. It was a scorcher out there. I let him know I would be in a zoom meeting as sometimes working from home and let him know where I wanted the charging unit installed. Took him a cold glass of lemonade and Niall started the work. Within an hour and half, he completed the job. He made sure I checked to make sure the charger would charge my Mach E. We have (2) electric vehicles. Everything working perfectly as they installed a 40 amp breaker giving me 32 amp charge which is sufficient for my Mach E with extended range of over 300 miles per charge. I was very impressed with the work, the professionalism by everyone at Premo Electric and by our installed Niall. It was a hot day and the sun was glaring down at him. I needed to have a new 240 volt, 50 amp line run for an electric vehicle charger as well as installing the charger itself that I had bought online. The electrician that I used to use has moved away so I searched on Yelp and based upon the reviews, especially for the job of installing a home level 2 charger, I went with Premo Electric. I got on their schedule within one day, and Sergio and Peter were the two men who came out to my home to do the work. They just left a couple of hours ago. They were on time, very professional, and very friendly. We discussed the most efficient way to run the wire from our breaker box to where I wanted the charger installed inside my garage, while at the same time trying their best to limit the wall damage from getting the wires to the designated spot. They did a great job both with running the wires for the new outlet and the installation of the charger. They also helped me set up the charger app on my iPhone so I can control all the functions from my phone. When they left, they totally cleaned up the areas they had to work in.
