I was meeting a friend in Burlington, as that is halfway between where we both live. The menu is strong for those folks who want meatless alternatives. The prices are not bad at all and they offer patrons cups of tap water free, that has been flavored with whatever they feel like that day - mine had lemon and cucumber and some herbs. Very nice touch. It's a loud place for lunch, the line was super long, yet everything moved quickly along. I had planned to get a bowl but ended up getting a wrap with greens, mozzarella, walnuts and strawberries and a touch of balsamic glaze. I wouldn't get this specific item again. It seemed to be mostly greens, and I hints of other things. Having said this, I brought it home and my Vegetarian child absolutely loved it and thought it was perfect. I am honestly a bit upset to be giving Pressed a 3 star mediocre review, because it is truly one of my favorite restaurants. The food at this location was pretty good, that isn't where the problem lays. The problem is that the service was ATROCIOUS. The cashiers were rushing customers and seemed annoyed with the amount of people in line. I now love going to my dentist in Burlington because that means I get to go to Pressed! The menu is GIGANTIC, and although it does get busy during lunch hours, there's a lot of staff, so the food comes out quite quickly. I've sat outside on a nice day as well as taken food to-go. I love the smoothies (perfect after getting cavities filled) as well as the red dragon seared tuna bowl. The breakfast burritos feel healthier since they come in a whole wheat wrap. And acai bowls too yummm! They have a jug of serve-yourself, complimentary "detox water" on the side of the seating area, which is a nice touch. Had brunch on a Sunday around 11am; seating is first come, first serve basis. We we only had to wait a few minutes before finding a table for the 2 of us. We got the hot pistachio latte and a vanilla latte- both were delicious. As pictured, for food, we had their meat lovers breakfast burrito, short rib Mac n cheese, and a side of homestyle potatoes. Best out of them all was the short rib Mac n cheese- great favors, cooked well, creamy and delicious. The burrito and potatoes were also quite good and a safe bet. This is my go to spot in Nashua normally so trying the Burlington location was a MUST! Burlington location does not disappoint. It is in the most ideal location right off the highway near the mall. There is plenty of parking and the inside has plenty of room and great decor. I went during the COVID-19 stay at home order and was shocked at the organization and the cleanliness. They had a very organized process to get people in and out and also to deal with curbside orders. This was my boyfriends first time here so he had some questions about the menu. The cashier was very on point on explaining the differences between sandwiches and what were in them. He ended up choosing the Short Rib Sandwich and I got my go to favorite which is BBQ Chicken Mac and cheese with a Peanut Butter Power Shake to share. My other favorites for breakfast are the Meat Lovers Burrito in a bowl or on a wrap. It is super filling! I also can't get enough of there Lemonade!! Super fresh and refreshing! After being stumped on where to stop en route to northern Massachusetts, we learned Pressed Cafe was a very convenient option. Between the super variety (quickly passed the time by reading the whole menu on the way up), online ordering, and everything being ready when we timed it and arrived, it was super easy to quickly grab a bite while on the road. Even on the website we were able to customize as needed to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions. My husband and I ordered the eggplant parm panini and the spicy bbq chicken panini. Both had the perfect sauces and flavors we were looking for. Especially since husband and I prefer warm pressed sandwiches, what a perfect fit to what we were looking for. The sandwiches were both loaded and filled us up. Spring fling smoothie was pleasant and a refreshing drink to have with my spicy bbq panini. I really enjoyed the sauce on the chicken and that it was moist. Husband got the chocolate dream which he liked but felt was too much with a sandwich as a personal preference. Only things we could see improvement on were that the eggplant parm panini listed roasted red peppers as an ingredient and they weren't in the sandwich. Additionally we scheduled our order for 1:30pm pickup. We got there five minutes early and although we were pleasantly surprised our order was ready early, it seemed like it was sitting out for a while so things started to get cold. The smoked salmon added a nice flavor to my salad and it wasn't overly salty. Plenty of greens, goat cheese, cucumbers, red quinoa, and some cherry tomatoes. - Layout. During this time of the year with the pandemic, there's indoor and outdoor seating. They extended their outdoor seating to part of the parking lot, as well, which is helpful. Some of their outdoor tables have larger umbrellas covering the tables, which is also helpful when the sun is out. We sat outside at a table for 2 under the shade, which was great. - Service. Since we ordered in, my friend and I were given numbers for our orders. We didn't wait long for our orders, probably 5-10 minutes. The wait staff found us with no problem and gave us our orders. Forks and knives were already in the salad. - Portions. Very good size portions and enough to get you full. - Price. It's possible for it to cost less than $20/person, but be prepared for your tab to add up depending on what you order and the size of your group. - Location. Good location in Burlington. There are other restaurants and shops around. What I really like is that there is a decent size parking lot, which is helpful. What's Not - Health and safety. During this time of the pandemic, I did not see any of their staff wear masks. To be fair, the issue regarding masks and vaccines is regularly changing, both on the federal and state level. However, I appreciate it when restaurant staff take the extra precautions in wearing masks. - Service. When the wait staff gave us our orders, we were not given any napkins or wet wipes. There were no napkins at the tables, either, which was not helpful. Not the worse problem to have, but not helpful. - Price. It's not the most expensive price for the food, but isn't cheap. For one salad for one person to come out to $15 is a decent amount. I thought this place was great. When we drove up and saw how many people were there and the full parking lot, I was concerned about the experience we would have. Fortunately the only challenge (and it wasn't one really) was getting parked. We were able to put in our orders quickly, were given a little table stand with our order numbers clipped on it and were served fairly soon after that. I had the smoked chicken salad sandwich with peach lemonade and spouse had stir fry. Both were very, very good. I would think the peach lemonade could be a lot less sweet and still be good. The menu is huge and a bit overwhelming but I love that there are many healthier options to choose from. I've been to this location twice and was busy both times but service is quick and there is plenty of seating. I ordered the eggplant farro bowl, the backyard bbq protein bowl and a Mac and cheese kids meal. All the dishes were good but nothing amazing. I love that the kids meal comes with fruit and juice which kept my toddler happy. Although the backyard bbq bowl was flavorful, the meat was unfortunately very dry, making it a bit unpleasant to eat. Got some takeout lunch here. Pretty solid. I got the chicken shawarma pita that was the weekly special. Didn't take the best pics but it was delicious. Great fillings and the hummus that it comes in it is a nice touch. I also got the chicken and rice soup which was okay. Pressed has decent food , but a really crowded and somewhat noisy atmosphere. I've really been annoyed in particular by the pickup /takeout process and they always seem to have one or two employees by the pick up area asking you your name and then searching for the food slowly, much slower than you can do it yourself and then they ask you for your last name as well. If they're not going to trust you to find your own food or not to steal somebody else's food which seems to be the implication, they may as well just hold the food in a dedicated area and ask you to walk up and pick it up there. Instead they annoyingly seem intent on crowding a very narrow walkway area and getting in everybody's way while trying to talk over the noise. The acai bowl is also affordable ($10) and tasty. It's not too sweet, and includes fresh bananas and strawberries with real granola.
