This dealer has some great prices, but that is truly due to the cars needing maintenance done. I purchased a car last October, a 2017 model at that. It's previous use was as a rental. I went back a few times to drive it and test it out. The second time i went to look at the car, it had a lot of rips and tears on the back seat which they were able to fix to the best of their ability so that did not stop me from buying the car. Within literally the first two hours of driving the car, the check engine light came on. I was obviously concerned and called them right away, for them to tell me "oh it is probably the gas cap" since i was given the car with literally almost an empty tank. Fast forward to the two days later, it is still on and i finally took it to Autozone since the dealership was about an hour away. They weren't even able to tell me the problem because the code was not in their system (meaning it wasn't just a gas cap). So I of course call the dealership again, they explained since my car was a 2017 i can still take it directly to Nissan for a warranty issue I may have. So I do, they inform me that there is a valve that was COMPLETELY broken and i would not be covered, however since it was only the third day I had my car, I should be able to take it back to Prestige. It was overall a disappointing experience, I called them only to be told that they have "no proof it was purchased that way" aka calling me a liar three days after I purchased my car from him. I ended up having to shell out another $800 to get it fixed. The prices might be great here, but that is truly because they have underlying issues that many people have seemed to have run into. After getting the valve and my back windshield wiper replaced (cause the motor was quite literally in pieces), I would definitely recommended going elsewhere unless you're a mechanic yourself and can inspect any and every little thing yourself. read more

When it was brought back for an inspection the following day (after purchase), they informed us they would fix all of the above. We came in for our appointment a few days later and told us they were only going to fix the axel and they never "wrote down" that they would do the rest so they accused us of the other damages. I wanted to find a small, used car for my daughter with a new drivers license... since I pass this place about a hundred times per week I thought I'd check em out online for starters. Their website was easy to use, even on my cellphone. They have a nice variety in all price ranges. I wanted to "keep it local" by supporting the little guys and wanted a car under $5k... I was pleased to find those at this place. The two young gentlemen were kind and VERY courteous. What a shocker nowadays! Acted quickly when I asked to test drive the suv I found online. Zero questions asked, well, besides "can I see your license"! ;-) Car came with a carfax as well as a fresh detail and minor repairs done in preparation before it hit the lot. Since it was rainy the day we purchased, they offered to hold the car until the next day so they could freshen it up with a car wash and polish! I feel that going to car dealers is ranked right down there with dying and paying taxes, but must admit I didn't feel that way at all when I visited this place! I highly recommend them. read more

I do not recommend this business. Came there middle of the day on a Wednesday to inquire about a 2010 Ford F-150 STX vehicle they have, which has over 100,000 miles and priced around $13,000, about $3,000 more than average. Zach, their salesman, came out and brought out the vehicle for us to inspect. He initially was friendly, and while I inspected the vehicle, I pointed out some rust spots which someone had attempted to cover up (non-factory Fender Flares to cover rust, and all other rust spots were painted over), and the heavily rusted rotors from the vehicle sitting for a very long period of time. He actually got pretty offended and smirkily said it's rust, what do you expect. Ok, but now I have to get those rotors resurfaced or replaced, so that is extra expense. When it came time to negotiate the price, he wasn't having it. He said they do not negotiate and I am free to leave. I initially told him $9,000 was my range, but I am willing to work with him. He said no. Very bizarre behavior from a sales representative. I asked to speak with his manager after he said I can leave. Anthony, the manager, came out and it was like speaking to the same person. Just had a smirky smile, and was happy to tell me to find another truck like it. I told him, $10,000 cash today, lets work on it together, can you come down on the price? Still, held the same look and was happy to tell me to look elsewhere. I tried to reason with them, gave them 20 times to start over, even showed him comparables on cargurus of similar STX vehicles with less miles and larger cab, and Kelley Blue Book value. He said no one uses Kelley Blue Book. Seriously? No one uses it? And, they said most of their vehicles are from auto auctions. The worst place you can buy a car from. Look, they can buy their cars from whoever and wherever they want, they can ask $100,000 if they want to, they can do whatever they want, the bottom line is their level of customer service was horrible. It was basically Get Lost straight from the beginning. Never gave me a business card, they put more energy into trying to get rid of me than trying to work something out. I don't know who the owner is, but I think they would be disappointed to know this. I was here with my mother, and the truck was for her. I don't know if they were upset that I inspected the vehicle and did so much research, Anthony literally told me to go to another dealership. Which is fine, they are on every other corner. But there was no low balling here, I started at 9k, came up to 10k, and was willing to come up more, but they held firm to their 30% markup above market value. They both had a really bad attitude and for whatever reason, did not want my business whether on that truck or another vehicle because I was told to leave. You would think they had a line out the door of customers, but it was dead. Completely bizarre behavior from two people who simply don't have customer service or sales in their blood and are bad for any business. I would recommend anyone coming here or any dealership, do your research, inspect the vehicle for rust that has been painted over or covered with aftermarket plastic, and know the market value. And avoid this place, it is a waste of time and a bad reflection for the community of St. Charles. read more

I sent an inquiry on the 29th early in the morning and was sent back with details about the car and a set appointment for Monday the 31st. I get there promptly at 5:00, find the only salesman busy then when I finally get the chance to ask where the car was, he said it was sold IN THE MORNING on the 29th. It was the exact time that I was consulting with the man. Not only did the salesman offer to look at other cars, but he proceeded on to just saying a light "sorry" then proceeded on to doing paperwork at his desk. " DO NOT SHOP HERE BEWARE OF CROOKS!!!!" Out of all of the dealerships i have been to this has been by far the worst experience of my life.Number 1 the price for the used car was $1,000 off from the price on the website. They were really pushy and claimed how good of conditon the used car was in. 1 week after purchase the instrument panel lighting completly went out. Countless repairs were being done month aftter month till last week the head gasket complety blew out and i can no longer afford to keep getting the vehicle fixed that they once promised was in mint condition. I would not trust these guys to watch my one dollar bill in their hands. Beware of this company...every other car mechanic has told me they are crooks. BEWARE. read more

I had the most horrific experience with this place. I've been searching for a used Mustang for the last few weeks, and I finally found an 02 that seemed perfect here through Auto Trader. I called them several times over the course of about a week and a half. I live 6 hours south, and i finally made the decision to come up and look at the car on a saturday. I scheduled, what I thought was an appointment, to see the 02 Mustang, at 4:30 pm. I drove up ad stopped at looked at another Mustang that was about an hour and a half south of Prestige first. After looking at that car, I called prestige once again shortly after 2 pm to ensure there were no problems. When I called the guy did tell me that it was being test driven but that it was still there. However when I asked if it was getting ready to be sold he said "no no". I explained to him I was driving far and still had another hour and a half to go, and asked him if I could leave my number and would he call me right away if there was a problem. He said of course and took my number down and said hed call. So I continued on my drive. I arrived at the dealership right about 4:30, and to my immense astonishment I found them putting plates on the car. Another salesman told me the car had been sold a half hour ago. Did I receive a call telling me this! NO. I have never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. They obviously did not care whatsoever about me wasting my time and money, and delaying me from finding another car. All they cared about was the sale. They could have at least called me a half hour prior when the car was sold, if not Im sure even before that when the buyer returned from the drive and they could most likely tell they were going to make the sale. Such a rude, careless place. Plus, I did notice the car had what almost looked like bullet holes on the side which were not mysteriously in any of the pics nor did they tell me when i asked about damage. I will never, ever, do business with them and I will make sure none of my friends or family in Illinois or Wisconsin, or anywhere for that matter, do as well. Just as well, because I found a much better Mustang later that day for a better price, which i wouldnt have found if I had purchased from Prestige Imports. read more

I searched for a used Ford Focus in the Chicago Area and found a 2005 from their ad on Craig's List. My girlfriend and I went on a busy Saturday afternoon to look at the car. All of the staff were extremely respectful and helpful. They let us immediately take the car on a test drive, did not give us a hard sell, left us alone to look at the interior and underside of the vehicle, they were straightforward with the weaknesses and strengths of the vehicle, quoted us a fair price, and got us out of there with our registration already handled. They also handled the title transfer for us. In an area that is very conservative and after we had already had a very hostile (read: they wouldn't even talk to us because we were two women) experience with a dealership in Chicago, the utmost professionalism of Prestige Imports was a breath of fresh air.
