Scheduled care for 4 days for my two cats as I was going out-of-town. Despite meeting with them to go over care and hand over keys, Prestigious Pets didn't show up. Because they scheduled to start care for Thursday the 26th and Thursday was the 25th my cats went without food for over 24 hours. Is this the kind of care you want for your pets? To compound the problem, despite their error they never apologized for the mistake. I'll never use them again. read more

My husband and I have been using them for the past month for sporadic dog walking and one overnight stay while we were traveling. We were nervous about leaving our puppy overnight with a stranger, but everything went incredibly smoothly -- Caruso was fine when we got home and our house was exactly as we left it. Prestigious Pets is wonderful! From their invoicing, response time to e-mails, cancellation policy, overall positive customer service in communication and most importantly, their sitters! Jasmin came over to do my Meet and Greet and was an absolute delight! She was so easy to talk with, very thorough in her explanation of the company's policies, asked great questions about what Lola needed on her walk, and was so so sweet to her! During the time that I used their service (only stopped because I moved out of state), some days I would be home sick and not have cancelled in time and Jasmin would come walk her, arrive during the hours we had agreed upon, and was so so sweet to Lola and I could tell Lola really liked her and she was such a great sitter! It made me feel so good about her walking Lola everyday and having her in my home. She always left sweet messages about how things went with Lola on a daily basis, and if I had special requests, she always accommodated them! Absolutely adored her! All in all, great company and great sitter in having Jasmin! Would highly highly highly recommend! (Sidenote - prior to using PP, I used a dog walker who was an independent contractor. He regularly would not come at the agreed upon time, said he had to come at 11AM because of traffic (I lived 3 miles from him!) and then just up and quit one day. We have been out walking her ourselves, and have seen one of her walkers, and she has gone nuts. We recently made a big move across the country. Kalle has been pet sitting for us for four years now and I really don't know what we are going to do without her. We had a bit of a high maintenance household. The dogs lived on a separate floor of the house from the cats and needed to be kept away from each other. We had all sorts of tricks and tools we used to keep a happy household with our pets and we needed a pet sitter who can roll with all of it. Not only did Kalle do a wonderful job sticking to all of our weird routines, she did it with a wonderful attitude and never made me feel like the neurotic man that I know I am! Our three dogs are all young, energetic, males, two of which are big, strong Sheppard breeds. They truly are too much to handle for some people, but I know I never had to worry about them when Kalle was sitting for them. Not only did she take the best care of them when she stayed over while we are out of town, but I really feel like she loves and adores them, and I absolutely know they love and adore her. My pets really are just like children to me and if we had not had the good fortune to meet Kalle, we would not have gotten to do nearly as many things as we have done because I would never leave them with someone I did not trust completely. Kalle is thorough, stayed in touch, and always has the best interest of the pets she cares for at heart. The last trip we went on we decided, at the last minute, to come home one day early. My biggest concern was changing plans on Kalle at the last minute, but as always, she was just as sweet and understanding as can be. Our home is always in wonderful shape when we return from out of town, often better than the state we left it in. I cannot recommend her services enough. In addition to being an absolutely stellar pet sitter, she is just an all-around fabulous person and I am so grateful to know her. My husband and I decided to use Prestigious Pets daily walking service for our Great Dane, Buckley, after I transitioned from working at home to working a full-time, away from home position. I knew he would be anxious and lonely because of this change, and Prestigious Pets has made this transition much easier for us. The service is very reliable and makes a big difference in both our's and our pet's life. They have never failed to show up, and they always freshen up Buckley's water and give him a treat after his walks. My security alarm sends a text to my phone whenever it is armed/disarmed, so I always know how long the walker is at our house. Only once have they not stayed the promised 25-30 minutes and this was due to icy weather conditions. In fact, sometimes they stay up to 40 minutes which is great for my dog. We will continue to use Prestigious Pets daily walking service as long as we are both working full-time! I would recommend their service to anyone looking for a great, reliable dog walker! read more

I love using Prestigious Pets for my 2 dogs Tinks and Buffy. I am a flight attendant so I am away quite often, and when I am gone I want to know they are in great hands because I am so far away (sometimes even out of the country). The staff keeps in contact with me so I don't have to worry about that. I am very pleased they agreed to walk them because I tried reaching out to a couple other places in the Dallas area who would not even take my dogs on because of their breed. They are both Pit Bull mix, and extremely sweet and friendly so I was disappointed to hear other companies do not walk pit bulls. However, the staff at prestigious pets love my dogs and always take them for walks! They are very knowledgable and reliable and are always so sweet to my dogs, they treat them like their own! Our experience with Prestigious Pets started out well, we used their services several times throughout the year with no problems. Then last month we went to Austin for 3-4 days, we came back home to find that our cat had absolutely NO FOOD OR WATER. This was especially alarming because we have a senior cat and the water bowl we left was a giant mixing bowl that usually will have water for a long time. Our poor cat had gotten so desperate that she ate every last little crumb on the floor, and she is a picky eater. We were upset and decided to call and leave a voice message explaining our concerns. The next day, they email us instead of simply calling us back telling us to explain the situation. That day, my husband writes this long email to them about the situation and they email me back asking if he is legitimate because his email wasn't connected to my account...? Instead of helping us they got caught up in these minor details. So I confirm that he is, indeed my husband and that we would like an explanation as to why our cat had no food or water. They then email us back saying that it was OUR fault for not booking enough pet sitting days. That made absolutely no sense as we booked every other day like they recommend and came back the next night. We told them we were very upset and would at least like a refund because was have used their services in the past with no problem. Instead of refunding us or AT LEAST apologizing they ignored our emails from then on out. I would NOT recommend subjecting the care of your pets to these people who don't care about you or your animal. We tried to make amends with them and they'd rather blame us then take responsibility for neglecting our pet. Please be cautious to who cares for your animal. read more

I am an avid reader of reviews and for the first time I have been let down. I called Prestigious Pets to book daily visits for my cat while I was gone for Thanksgiving. The pet-sitter that showed up to my house took great notes on our cat and I was told that she would be the one that would come visit unless there was an emergency or if my sitter was unavailable (this is also stated in the Q&A of their website). She told me her visits would last 20 minutes and I explained to her how important it is for her to play with my cat because he is super active and will become destructive if he doesn't get at least 15 minutes of playtime. I thought there would be no problem considering the great reviews Prestigious Pets has on yelp, however I was sadly mistaken. 1. The pet-sitter I met before I left was not the one taking care of my cat more than half the times. I understand if she could not make it one day and sent another sitter like she explained, but if a new person is going to be the one taking care of my cat for the majority of the time, I would have liked to be notified. 2. The pet-sitter's visits ranged from 5 to 15 minutes. The few times she was there for more than 10 minutes, she did not play with my cat. I am paying for a 20 minute visit, therefore I should get a 20 minute visit. This made me feel uncomfortable and felt bad for my kitty who is use to a lot of human interaction. The only thing I could count on Prestigious Pets for was to feed my cat and change out his water bowl daily. 3. Not only was it inconvenient having to email Prestigious Pets every day while I was out of the country just to get an update, but their updates consisted of one lined sentences like "so sweet" along with a picture of my cat. No details regarding the actual state of my cat. 4. I am not a fan that I cannot contact the pet sitter directly via text message and instead I have to email the company itself. It made the whole experience extremely impersonal and the convenience once again was not there. I was aware of this policy beforehand so at least it was not a surprise. I am going to inform Prestigious Pets of my dissatisfaction with their services and hopefully no one else has to go through this while away from home. read more

I had never used a pet sitter before when going out of town. With most of my trips being quick weekend getaways, I usually just put out extra food for the kitties or had a friend stop by once or twice to check on them. With my wedding a month away I was becoming very hesitant about leaving my cats for over a week, without having someone check on them daily. Not wanting to ask such a commitment from friends (they have families and fur-babies they need to take care of too), I called Prestigious Pets. When the sitter walked in for our meet and greet, my oldest cat immediately attached himself to her and didn't want to let go! The sitter spent most of our meeting holding him or having him sit in her lap. Even my shy kitten came out to see her. Needless to say, I had zero hesitation leaving them in her care! Another great perk about hiring Prestigious Pets, is having someone to check on your house, collect mail and packages and water your plants. Just having been married the day before we left, we still had wedding gifts arriving daily. It was such a relief knowing that someone was coming by daily to bring packages and mail inside the house, not leaving them to spend the night on the porch. We also had extra flowers and succulents from the wedding that we were able to keep alive with the help of Prestigious Pets. Now even when we go out of town for the weekend, I have Prestigious Pets come by. We are new to Prestigious Pets, but we could not be happier! I work long hours at the hospital and my fur-baby is by himself for 13-14 hrs when I work. Prestigious pets was so accommodating. I called the day before I worked to get pricing. They sent someone out that very day for a meet & greet and we were set up for services the very next day. The walker comes and lets my dog out for 20-30 minutes. Usually after working a long day my dog is very hyper and upset. This week, he has been the most mellow and happy dog. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My pup is special, to say the least. She is a rescue so not good with other pups or strangers. We did an initial meet up to see how it went. She loved her sitter but I was super cautious as she has issues with new people. After arranging a few walks while I was home so she could be more comfortable when I left town, I was able to see how great her sitter was. I was even able to schedule a walk to meet a second sitter ( apparently that is the protocol, just in case life throws my sitter a curveball...happens to me all the time!!) I originally called Prestigious Pets when I had a family emergency and had to go out of town. They were able to accommodate my situation and setup a meet and greet the same day. When the sitter arrived we went over my daily routine with my cat Mutskers and fish. I am very particular about my fish and the uptake of the tank, they were able to do just as I asked (all of the fish survived). This is literally the first review I've ever written on any site (good or bad) but I just had to write one because I LOVE this company!! They were taking care of my old dog for a year (as a dog walker and a pet sitter) and now they have been providing the same service for my new puppy and I have to say they are the most reliable company I have ever worked with. If I ever need to make changes, I just email them and they get back to me almost immediately (even on days when they're closed!). My old dog especially did not get along with other dogs so having the pet sitting service was phenomenal.
