First service for fleas was pretty good. Follow-up service was a disaster. The treatment is supposed to dry in 3-4 hours. Seven hours later, our floors were still soaked. We had to open windows and dry mop the floor just to be able to get back inside. The place still stunk for hours after that. The company, of course wasn't open after 12 pm to address our concerns. The ole bait & switch pest control company with a side of terrible work. They talk a great game but have yet to back it up. They used an inferior product at my rental house 4 years ago and they used an inferior product 4 weeks ago when they were in my apartment. My idiot ex landlord recommended them even though it was their responsibility & in the lease. If it were up to me I wouldn't pay the ish now but it's imbedded in the lease. Basically paid for them twice with same bogus results. The point is to get rid of the pest, stop them from reproducing etc etc. They spray something that makes them [yeah] and they pretty multiple. You gotta watch these guys, I had them before and had issues with them, but I went back to them because of price. This time I got hurt at work, called them up to suspend services for a while because I am only making 60% pay on WC . They called every two months and I told them I wasn't ready yet. Just had two neck surgeries and in PT three times a week. Get an invoice for $140 on 12/6/2018 then get a letter from a collection agency for $205.43 on 12/10/2018 . Tried to call and talk to a supervisor and all of a sudden they are out in the field for the last two days . Well if I don't hear back from these crooked sob's my lawyer is the next call. We have used this company for over a couple years. They were ok at first but we did have a hiccup with one of their guys thinking we were not home and decided to leave a bill and leave without doing any pest maintenance. Then we had a rodent problem which we paid over $1k and all they did was lay regular rodent traps and closed up some holes around our home outside and then on the inside which we showed them some possible entries that need to be closed but they did not check thoroughly on the inside of our home. We had these so called experts for over a month and they did not catch one rodent nor had a plan b or c.. they did put down extra rat and glue traps which I could have done and did myself. I called spoke with the secretary at Preventative Pest and said a Manager would be calling me. Almost a week later and no call? I cancelled their Rodent service and not once did a manager or owner contact me to apologize or ask for details which I thought they would since we have been a long time customer. Not even to offer half my money back! To make a long story short I didn't feel appreciated and they didn't care so we canceled our pest control service as well and hired a real professional Rodent expert that uses up to date rodent traps ...not snap and glue traps and did a very thorough inspection, recommendations and explanations of next steps. read more

I used preventive pest control before 5years ago for bed bugs and they did a good job and I had the problem again so I used them again.This time they did not do a good job.My house had bed bugs all over and they only concern was treating the beds and couchs so I still had problems with them.I needed them to do the closets and draws and they did no heat treatment so my problem never left,although they gave me 45 days to see if they were gone I had to keep calling them back and they kept telling me they saw no bed bugs and I even sent them pictures .They would say that they didn't see anything and that maybe I was bringing them in so I got tired of them going back and forth with me and I became frustrated and left it alone but I would never use them again and it was not cheap,so now I need to hire someone else to do the job read more

I'm a single woman who absolutely hates any bug or rodent. I mean to the extent that I will run out of the house if I see one and won't go back in till it's gone or until I realize I'm bigger than it and I pay the bills in the house. I bought a 1920's home on pier and beam so I knew that the first thing I needed was pest control. Preventive Pest Control, came out inspected and quoted me a reasonable price. What I loved the most about this company was their honesty. They told me that for the first month I may see more activity but then it would begin to diminish. They were right and I can say after a year I am almost bug-free in the home; if they do get in they are dead. Their customer service is amazing, the service people are friendly and knowledgeable and they always go out of their way to help you solve a problem. I have no idea how this company isn't 5 star rated. I used them bimonthly for four years and had nothing but excellent service. We had a couple extra service calls that were included at no extra cost, and on one occasion, the service tech refused a tip, stating that his service call was part of our package and we should pay any extra. I used to have them for my monthly pest service, and I left them because they were overpriced in a commodity market, frankly doing the usual utility bait you in with lower initial cost and raise the costs progressively from there strategy. Fast forward a couple years, and I needed a "ONE TIME" treatment for something else which I made abundantly clear to the salesman are we were putting our home on the market. My wife heard this reiterated the entire time ad nauseum, as I don't want a serial payment on a property I'm not planning on retaining. I then suddenly start getting bills from them, and call the salesperson who says he will look into it, but didn't do a thing so to ensure they don't do anything to my credit I paid it while I actively look for another company to take over from them and have them yank their stuff out of the ground. I don't even mind paying more just to be done with this operation. If you do contract with them, spend the week looking through all the fine print because the salesperson will either lie to your face or just ignore your wishes. In a commodity market like this, do yourself a favor and look around. read more

WARNING!!! When we signed up for a year of service we asked for weekends only. Even when we would call to schedule a weekend appointment they would still just show up on their own during the week. No call no notice. After they missed 3 quarterly services they sent us a bill for services we did not receive. After discussions with the office they sent the bill to collections. Similar to the two below, the intro service was fine, the next one left spots on my wood floors that I'm still trying to get off, told them not to come back. They left messages scheduling more appointments, which I returned their call and said not to come out, but continued billing even though they didn't perform the service - twice they did this. In spite of taking the time to reply, in writing, twice, informing them I'm not paying for a service not rendered they continue to send overdue letters and threaten to send it to collections. I canceled their service because they showed up and spent no more than 5 minutes to do the job outside of the house and left a note saying they have done the treatment for the house while they did not come inside the house. one other time they told me they would come to perform the treatment for the house but they never show up, also did not even call me. I waited for the whole day for them. after several incident, I decided they are not up to the tasks and canceled their service. They did try to collect the contract termination fee but I never pay them just because of the principle. They did, however, put a ding on my credit which I don't give a shit...I will not pay for something they say they will do but never did. At first I saw that this was a locally own business so I wanted to use them also to help out. The quote I received was $1200. Over priced but it was all right. They charged my credit card $1299. I was upset but I paid. Then several months later I received call stating I still owe them money. Their explanation was I still owe them tax. I asked I was charged $1200 and paid $1299. Their answer was the person who quoted me gave me the wrong quote. Then I asked why wasn't the tax charge at the same time, the answer was they don't have an explanation for that. We have been faithful customer's for many years in 2 different homes in The Woodlands. The guys were always professional and left service cards at the door. When we moved to the last home in 2014, we had a major cutter ant issue!! They appeared out of nowhere and were destroying everything in sight! I called the office in a panic and the gal got someone out the very next day. He not only took care of all the beds, he followed the ant trail all the way to the back of the preserve and knocked those suckers out! We now live in Denver, Colorado. Worst company ever!!!!!! Poor performance and unfriendly customer service. They schedule appointments without actually talking to you. They call you every 3 months and simply leave messages the day before they want to come out. If you do not return their call they just come out and if they cannot perform the complete service they charge you anyways. I cancelled all of my 3 accounts since I finally have enough of those guys. But they did not even care or asked why I am cancelling. All they did is charge me a cancellations fee. Preventive Pest Control Team - Sales personnel made good service promises. That seems to be a trap/ hook now as it was not delivered. The first service was extremely good and then it was never the same. The second service was conducted inside house and was not rescheduled for outside as it was wet/ raining. I was charged for the entire service, despite only partial internal spray was done. Next scheduled Service was not conducted. Next Service was also not conducted. My neighbor (House in front of mine) had a personnel from "Preventive Pest Control" conducting pest control services same day as scheduled for mine also. I was in the front yard and my kids were playing out and I was waiting and expecting that he may turn up after completing their services. Its extremely disappointing and frustrating that with big promises Preventive Pest Control West Houston Team take up contract and then do not deliver. As a result there has been increase in pests around my house. Kids do not play in yard as there are lots of ants and bugs. I have already been to Doctor visit for these ant bites with these bulb like pus being formed due to these bites. And above that without providing service, and we going through all this, Preventive Pest Control team is sending me invoice to pay for not providing service. Just because Preventive Pest Control sales team promised and I accepted that in good faith which Preventive Pest Control West Houston Operations team failed to deliver. Preventive Pest Control is sending me invoices for not providing and failing in the services. I am not going to pay for not getting the service. They need to improve service. They would come out and leave a note that my bill was past due and never would come back to provide the service even though I paid them. Horrible, horrible experience. This issue is solely based on my experience with Preventive Pest Control (PPC) and I'm not eluding that the issue I had is a business practice of PPC, with that said. I have had PPC for almost 2 years now. They came to my home on 11-3-2016 to perform the Bi-Monthly Service. The technician arrived at my home at 3:45pm, he stayed in the vehicle for several minutes before coming to the door, he knocked very lightly, however I could not come to the door, I was on a business call. He returned to the vehicle and stayed in the vehicle until 4:13pm, then left. No Service was performed; No service note was left at the door saying service was performed or not performed. I thought this was odd, and I also thought that if I don't receive the bill, I would be ok with them not doing the service that day. (I would like to note, it did rain lightly that day, however it was not raining when he was here.) Well, 10 days later I received the bill for services performed on that day. I was shocked that a business would do this. I thought how many other customers are getting billed and not receiving service. Also, I would like to add that this year I have had many problems with bugs, ants, moths & insects, and had called PPC out repeatedly to re-service my home. Now I believe that the problems I had, were due to not getting service or the products used, not effective or no products were used. Maybe just water was used? When service is performed, I'm not always home, like many customers, I can see how this company can take advantage of that situation. I called PPC and talked to a manager, he said that the technician had never received a complaint before, he added that the technician was new to the company but had many years' experience. The manager apologized, removed the charge for service, and ask if there is anything they could do to make it right. Needless to say, Preventive Pest Control and I have parted ways. My opinion of this company is that they are unethical and not credible. Please be aware and cautious when choosing your pest control company. If you currently are using a pest control company, request that the service be performed while you are at home. read more

Had a one time "general" treatment applied - inside and outside. Consisted of spray, granules and various baits/strips. They removed all spiderwebs and mud wasp nests outside. I'm giving this five stars, for two reasons; 1. The staff you speak to on the phone are incredibly polite! If you have a problem, they will listen and do their 100% best to solve it. 2. When I had my initial service done, I felt, at the time, that it was not to my expectations. Immediately I called the customer service folks.
