First of all I want to express how thankful I am for The Rock Movers…read more Being a full-service moving company, I needed someone to help me pack AND move due to a recent injury crippling me right before I was scheduled to move. Their reliability and ease of setting up the packing and move when I was not even able to be present and the timing was truly helpful. It was more expensive than I had ever paid for movers, even without the packing, and that's honestly why I could not give them full 5 stars. As a military member going through an honorable discharge to help my family in crisis while already injured myself, I had to empty out my own savings and my children's I had saved up over a 9-month deployment in the combat zone to move back to my family when they needed my help, not even sure if I could then provide for them. So while I really thank them for the job they did, I never financially recovered from that and I do ask Rock Movers to consider the vets or military members in San Diego and to complete a weight estimate for them to be reimbursed.

Through out the moving process I was asked several times to write a review to the point of annoyance. Even asked me to write a review on google which I declined because I don't have any Google accounts. After the job was done, the worker came to verify if I wrote the review and checked on the phone and took a picture. During the payment process even asked if I could give a tip greater than 15%. If I could I would. In spite of all this, I gave a good review because of the "work" that was done, their hard work, and the rest of the team's hard work.

Was moving several hours north after selling house due to husbands sudden death…read more 24/7 was the only moving company i contacted who actually gave me a quote online. all the rest wanted more info or gave reasons why it would cost more to move. Booked 24/7 to do the work. They showed up on the scheduled day about 8:30 am and we did a walk thru, showing them what was going and what was not. moving from a 4 bdrm to a 2 bdrm takes some downsizing. They started right in, wrapping, filling boxes and moving them out to the truck. Taking apart the furniture that needed it and moving it out to the truck. They are definitely good at their job. It took them till 10:30 at night to get it all packed and stowed in the truck. They were prompt on delivery day too. Showed up at 9 am . started unloading and putting together furniture and placing it where requested. Took till 4pm before they were finished with their part of unpacking . Great job! I highly recommend this company. They are prompt, polite and very good at their job.

I had everything I own stolen from two separate units…read more I stored my belongings here for over 20 years, paying roughly $40-50k over that time. In the end, about $50,000 worth of my property was stolen from my two units, including irreplaceable items from my late father and grandparents, original artwork, and a career's worth of work samples (50+ snowboards). Their cameras only cover the outside of the buildings. Other storage facilities advertise interior cameras as a safety feature; this one doesn't have any. The front gate regularly allows multiple cars to pass through with one code entry, and the building doors themselves don't require an entry code or are usually propped open - essentially, anyone can enter the property and the buildings with zero verification that they should be there. Their website and payment system make you re-enter your payment information after you've already entered it and clicked confirm. I spoke to them about this numerous times, explaining that it's confusing; no retailer ever makes you reconfirm a purchase. Their response was that they didn't want people double-charged. I'd much rather be double-charged than robbed blind. Read into this however you like, but only my wife, myself, and their staff knew I had these units. I generally came midweek/mid-day and was careful not to leave anything of visible value in the hallways. My units were across the building from each other, and there was no obvious way for someone to know which units to target. My theory - and the detective on my case agreed it was plausible - is that I forgot to confirm my payment on their website one time, sending my unit(s) to pre-lien status. I paid the moment I got the notice, but the damage seems to have already been done. The thieves went through every single box in one unit, but stopped a third of the way through the other, leaving thousands of dollars of stuff untouched. Why? It's almost like they were told to stop for some reason. Maybe after a payment was made? When I reported my theft to the front desk, one employee was genuinely shaken, but the manager had an unmistakable "oh, sh**" look and showed zero surprise that I'd been robbed. To make it worse: insurance requires receipts and proof of ownership for decades-old belongings, much of it from people no longer alive to help me prove what I owned - capped at $5,000 on a $50,000 loss. Two decades of trust, gone. The place looks nice, but not everyone has a nice experience. I left one star, I wish I could leave less.

I scheduled to drop my car off on a Friday "any time after dinner" and was told they were open until 9pm. I was told this actually works better for them. Then I get a dispatch call midafternoon they're at my house and need to pick the car up. A "miscommunication on their end". I wasn't out shopping. I was out running last minute errands for a cross country move. They said they would go to other pickups and come back, I came back early to get them my car. They did NOT wait 2 hours for me- I watched the guy pull up the second time. They actually said he would be there in about 2 hours, it was 4. I didn't need to rush home. Also, they did not pay for my Uber to dinner (but they did pay for my Uber to Walmart upon me picking up my car though after delivering it to the wrong location aka asked for my address and location but forgot to pass it on to the delivery guy and picked a random Walmart in a big city that was 35 minutes from me, so yes that Uber they paid for). Also, I am not a "young person" like your daughter. Let's stop assuming people's ages and even then basing how we feel about them off that. Plain and simple, the communication was poor, nobody on your team talks to each other which is why things are falling through the cracks, and I let you guys know that as a way to improve. Both delivery drivers were great, but telling someone to drop off their car at the downtown office after dinner and then showing up at noon "because of a miscommunication" and then going to the wrong delivery address "because we forgot to pass along the updated information" doesn't work for a business. Own it and move on! *** He responded again and is now saying my friends planned a surprise dinner for me (not true, I was going to dinner with one friend) and I blew them off. I am attaching photos of the emails and text communication with them. It shows the email they sent me when the driver thought my car was already at the office so I had to reroute and make myself available for them, which they thanked me for.... not I blew them off for a surprise dinner lol. Also a copy of his Yelp response for when he changes it again and lies again. Be careful with these guys!!

This might be a long review (my sister says that I talk too much, lol...we're in our 60's so it's okay...she knows me well). If you're in our shoes, we truly wish you the best in selecting a moving service. Moving is so stressful! For my sister and I, we did find the right team! We didn't know which one to pick, so we checked ratings on Google, Yelp, and Angi's List, but still weren't sure. Next, we read all of the reviews (literally, ALL of them), and called for some quotes. We talked to our neighbors and family in San Diego. These are the things we can tell you about the movers we hired, Pride Moving, out of Carlsbad, CA. They helped us move out of our large storage facility in Loma Linda, Ca, which was costing us a fortune every month. Our mom had passed on, and our brother & his wife, who are active-duty military, placed everything into storage after she died. We needed help. Pride Moving met us in Loma Linda, and packed everything up onto their truck and moved it to our home in Ramona. The owner, Max, and his assistant Nick, were right on time. They worked very hard and quickly in 110-degree temperature! They had the truck loaded up within an hour. When we got to our home, they unloaded all of the furniture and placed it exactly where we requested. Nothing was damaged, including some of our parents' 50+ year old furniture. Everything was wrapped and covered with blankets before loading onto the truck. Max and Nick were kind, professional, and just gave that extra something that makes one pause and feel gratitude for all the things that are right in our crazy world. Like us, you've probably seen a lot of companies with 5-star reviews. We are giving 5 stars because of all of the above reasons. We hope you will realize the sincerity of our recommendation. I used Pride Moving for my 3 bedroom house for packing and moving. I couldn't have asked for better moving company. I am busy mom and I didn't have time to pack the boxes. So,I contacted Pride Moving requesting full service packing and moving. They scheduled visual estimate and Max showed up at our place 7 prior to move day. He offered us 3 movers for 2days. One day packing and organizing. Moving on the second day. He gave me estimate which they completed the move within the estimated range. On the first day, the 3 gentlemen showed up at my place were very friendly and respectful. They handled my belongings with care. They brought their packing supplies . And they packed all of my misc items like dishes and clothes. They made sure all of my dishes were packed with bubble wrap and packing papers into boxes. All of my furniture were covered with moving pads and stretch wrap. On the second day, they showed up on time and quickly started loading all the boxes that they packed stack them nicely in their box truck. They were extremely professional and careful. When we got to my new house, they unloaded everything without any damage and put the boxes in each room where they belonged and staged and assembled my furniture. They were this whole time smiling and never complained when they carried my heavy dresser and armoire up to the second floor. They are punctual, reliableI, and efficient. I couldn't be more happier. Second time we've used the company and after sending a lot of business their way bc our first experience was so awesome. They moved us from apartment to house to storage to another house to destination apartment in 5 hours with 2 movers. So this time we hire 3 movers bc they can only spare us 4 hours. They called us the evening before our move day asking if we could possibly delay our move date. Absolutely not. Like, the power is being shut off. They say thy have a truck problem and ask if we could possibly switch to afternoon. Fine but we absolutely need to move Saturday as we had to clean our apartment in time for a final walkthrough Sunday. Get a confirmation text saying they will meet us between 8am and 9am as scheduled. Awesome. The next morning they arrive at 8:30 with a truck that is half of the size of our previous move. They end up having to do multiple trips, from storage to new house to apartment to new house twice bc they can't fit as much in the truck. 3 guys moved us in 7.5 hours. That wouldn't be so bad but then they turned around and charged us double drive time. Huh? Why are we being penalized for you having a smaller truck? Our movers were still super nice but ultimately we were really let down by the pricing penalty. Had we known the truck would be smaller and we'd be paying for that, we would've hired elsewhere. read more

Pride Moving, how can I describe them in one word - AWESOME!! We were searching for a moving company to help us clear our storage space in Loma Linda and move our deceased mother's furniture to our home in Ramon. After an exhaustive search we picked Pride Moving. Their rates were excellent, but it was my conversation with Maxx, the owner, that made the decision for us. Maxx was professional, understanding and even laughed at my jokes. They arrived in Loma Linda at the time we had requested. Maxx took the place of a sick employee even though he had a full day of managerial duties. Maxx and Nick loaded the truck quickly and carefully. It was 110 degrees outside, and they worked without complaint. At the house in Ramona, they placed everything where we asked, and nothing was damaged. They were friendly, courteous, and respectful. If you need to move, give Maxx a call and you will be happy that you did. I've never experienced such a stressless and enjoyable move. By the way, Maxx, what an exceptional job of driving. I can't begin to express how impressed we were with the three man crew that moved us today! Albert, George & Nick we're professional, polite and incredibly efficient, hard workers! They wrapped everything, and took extra care with fragile items. They went out of their way to make things easier for us like providing and setting up as many wardrobe boxes as we needed and moved things more than once while we were placing furniture in our new home. Not one damaged item, nick on a wall or any mishap all day! They expressed sincere appreciation when we provided lunch, drinks and snacks throughout the day. Pride Moving Company has been one of the best moving services that I have worked with. I moved from Los Angeles to San Diego and requested their service, the owner and his team are a friendly bunch. I can't say enough good things about Pride Moving. These guys were fantastic. They showed up right on time and got straight down to business. I have dealt with many movers who were unprofessional but these guys were truly professional, courteous, very NEAT, and thorough. They carefully packed up my couch, bed frame, and table as we got to San Diego they unpacked everything as well and helped me move my furniture around. There was no damages done to any of my furniture which I am extremely grateful for. Pride moving is reliable, professional, and honest. We moved from San Diego (SD) to Santa Clarita (SC) with the understanding that there would be a double drive time charge. We were concerned about this as it would be the most costly portion of our trip. Max assured us, double drive time is only for time from SD to SC x2; return trip time does not get counted. On the day of our move, Albert and Joaquin arrived on time and are the most hard working and efficient movers we've ever dealt with. They wrapped our furniture and properly stacked our boxes to ensure no damage during transport. The most amazing part was the unloading, it only took a record 45mins!!!!! Amazing! Amazingggggg job from Pride Moving. I have had a few awful experiences with moving companies, but this time it was completely smooth. Sam and Adam were soooo professional, savvy, and fun to be around. They carefully wrapped every piece of furniture which I really valued. My plants were carefully handled and they were extremely helpful when it came to disassembling my furniture since it was too large to fit through the doorway. Even with one flight of stairs, nothing was damaged, broken, etc. Sam and Adam are two of the best movers I've ever had and they worked sooooo hard. I admire them for all of their efforts. I would give them 10 stars if I could. We just moved from San Marcos to Rancho Mirage (100 miles)and they did a fantastic job . They packed and loaded the truck and then drove over the next day. We have a lot of antiques plus a black lacquered baby grand piano and a lot of paintings. Also an antique 6 foot tall antique gilded mirror (very ornate). This tall kid manufactured a cardboard crate for it and it came through just fine. All of our things were fine with no dents or scratches. Everything was blanket and shrink wrapped and then unpacked and put in place for us. It was hot here but the guys kept moving at a fast pace the whole time with no complaints. My parents hired this company to take our belongings from both their house and my wife's mom's house and transport them up north to our current home in Santa Maria. Albert and Nick arrived on time and ready to work. They visited both homes to carefully get our stuff and get it packed up in the truck. They were so friendly and professional. After that they made the approx. 5 hr drive up the coast and met us at our house, where they unloaded everything extremely quickly so as to honor the price originally quoted to my Dad. Even with a last minute stop added to my move, they were more than happy to comply with only a small additional fee. Their estimate was accurate and perfectly priced for the job. Max, the manager, came to my home and did an accurate assessment of my moving needs. He showed great flexibility when my first escrow fell through and I needed to change the date of my move. HIs crew showed up on time and efficiently packed up all furniture and boxes for my move. It was a long haul from Oceanside to Bend. Two mornings later, Max and Tom arrived at my new home at 8:00 AM, as promised. In four hours, they had all my furniture assembled and placed in appropriate rooms, as well as boxes designated to specific parts of the house. We needed to have a valuable, heavy Travertine family heirloom table moved, and we were concerned about it being damaged. I called Pride and spoke with Max, who assured me they had extensive experience with such furniture. Pride sent a three-person team, headed up by Zhandos, who meticulously wrapped the table and removable base in moving blankets and stretch wrap. They safely navigated stairs with a 90-degree angle, and the table arrived at its new home in perfect condition. The movers were one hour late and took a lunch after one hour of work. The movers left before we did and told me that they were heading directly to the storage unit. When I got there, the movers weren't there. I was waiting for them at the storage facility while they were eating lunch. I don't think I should be paying for their lunch time after an hour of work. They quickly unloaded my belongings and refused to rearrange everything as I originally requested...use minimal space so I could add to the storage unit later. They told me that things would be easy for ME to move when the time came. I asked them twice and gave up. Then, I get the bill. I was charged an additional $400 for moving 2 dressers because they considered them heavy. I read the pre-move agreement and they should have notified me of the additional charge. Instead, I was surprised with a bill that was over the estimate because of them charging me for lunch time and two pieces of furniture that they considered over 350 lbs.
