For the first move they stored my stuff for a few months, and then my move-in day was super complicated because I needed them to make three stops to pick some extra things up. Had a good experience in 2020, however, different crew in 2023 for a second move. The worst part of the move I discovered when I went to move out in 2024. They had initially re-assembled my bedframe and it was done incorrectly. I requested they reassemble it correctly, which was done, but the one crew member was in such as a rush to re-do it that they stripped all the screws and they were all far overtightened. When I went to disassemble the frame a year later, it was impossible to unscrew and I ended up having to destroy the frame, which was nearly $2000. In addition, the crew declined to move some large planters and made a half-hearted attempt to get my sofa up an awkward staircase, and just left it in the carport and said it couldn't be done. I later got the sofa up the stair with my partner on our own. Seems they have some good crews and others that aren't so great. If you have anything out of the ordinary, doesn't seem like they try to find any creative solutions to help you out. read more

Worst company I have ever used. 1. They broke my $1800 TV and blamed me for it even when their guy carried the 65" TV by himself and crushed it with his grip. I was offered $259 in compensation and blamed for the damage. 2. I told them we had a steep driveway but they brought the wrong truck on day one and then got it stuck. They wasted 4 hours getting unstuck and then chanted me for the time. 3. They never finished the move. I spent 3 days after the move finishing moving all of my things. We had a rather complex move over three days. On the first day, seven professional packers showed up on time to pack and wrap our furniture, clothing, household fixtures, and equipment. On the second and third day, the team arrived on time and loaded their trucks. First, moving to a rental with some of our furniture; next, some of our furniture was moved to our home that is still under construction; further, some of our furniture was moved to a consignment seller; and finally, the remainder of our furniture was transferred to their storage facility. We were quoted a flat rate for what it would cost and a time of payment they decided to charge us labor and it cost over $8000 for one block move for a three bedroom three bath apartment. And they wanted to charge us almost $400 to deliver items in storage to our address. This was a couple of years ago, but I decided to mention it now because who knows how many other people have been over charged by this company. Personally I don't care if they comment or reply to this whether good or bad, agreeing or not. What I am writing is the truth so I do not care. So many things could have gone wrong, but nothing did. Seriously. You absolutely need to consider Reliable Delivery for your moving needs. From my initial inquiry to signing the paperwork after the move was complete was a 10 out of 10 experience. I submitted my initial inquiry on a Sunday thinking I wouldn't hear back until Monday. I received an email from them within a few hours advising me of their hourly rates. Their website made it clear there was a $40 fuel charge in addition to the hourly rate so there were no surprise charges. The communication I received from Josh and Daniel was amazing! They demonstrated a solid understanding of my needs and set accurate expectations. On the day of the move, Dan and Joe arrived about ten minutes early! AND they contacted me about 15 minutes prior to their arrival. None of that "We'll be there between 8am and 8pm" b.s. that you hear from so many companies. Dan and Joe were highly professional and knew exactly how they were going to be moving my items. While I didn't have any furniture for them to move, I had dozens of boxes and totes which had to be carried down a flight of stairs, around the building, and up several more sets of stairs to their truck. Before starting, they wrapped my door, door frames, and the drywall near the door with protective coverings, and they had everything loaded within 60 minutes. My new home is in a downtown area, but I'm thinking they must have found a commercial loading zone nearby or scored a lucky spot somewhere. I didn't see it, but they arrived at my new place and worked with the HOA moving coordinator to get everything up to my floor. And by no surprise, they unloaded in a quick pace. Before signing the final paperwork after the move, Dan explained each charge on the invoice, and as I mentioned earlier, there were no surprises. I hate moving. I don't know anyone who actually enjoys moving. But if you want to make any part of your move significantly more convenient, USE RELIABLE DELIVERY. If you can request movers (I have no idea if you can), ask for Dan and Joe to help you out! If I ever have to move again, Reliable Delivery is going to be the first company I contact for it. FYI**California State Regulated Double Drive Time is, California moving companies aren't allowed to charge you in the morning for the time it takes to drive from their warehouse to your pick up location. And they're not allowed to charge you for the time it takes to drive back from the drop off location back to their warehouse. Hi everyone, I was quoted nearly $3000 by this company. Please see the conversation via email that ensued below: Me: Hi Josh, is it possible that the move might take 8 hours or less? 12 hours seems like a lot of time for a move for an 800 sq ft studio apartment to 1000 sq ft one bedroom apartment. Movers: We only have a 5-hour minimum on Saturdays bill by 15-minute increments after that, so yes it could be the move requires less time but without a list of items or knowing what we're packing I had to go on the safe side for the estimate. We bill from dispatch until we return to our facility which is in the same location as our partners at Allied that you contacted here in Poway, CA 92064. We have a 2.25 hour drive 130 miles up to your Wilshire location and on a Saturday at the end of the move it's a bit over 3 hours return so there is about 5 to 6 hours of drive time in addition to the time packing, loading and unloading Me: Hi Josh, so I am being billed for 5.25 hours of drive time on top of the moving? Movers: Good morning Gloria, We bill from dispatch to return, meaning the billable hours for our services are dependent on the time to drive to your location, perform whatever services you need there, drive to the destination, unload and place items in the new home and time to drive back to our facility, so yes we do bill for the time to drive to and from your locations at the quoted hourly rates. The guys who came and moved me were greats but this narcissist business is a thief and I am filing a complaint with BBB he charged 40% more than the last two companies I used by charging for two extra BS hours and forcing fees for products used that I already had on hand.
