Wow! What a delightful stop we had on our way to Yosemite National park. Firstly, the menu was a surprise. A variety of tempting dishes to suit any taste--from carnivore to vegan. It was impressive. Found this place after driving up a very steep and scary road while getting to Yosemite. We arrived in time for Sunday brunch. There is a great outdoor patio, and friendly though harried service. We got the veggie skillet and French toast. Don't skip the sweet potato fries -- there are awesome. My French toast arrives without syrup and the first round of coffees were cold. Both were quickly remedied. There is a clean bathroom for patrons of the restaurant -which is a rare find in these more remote areas! read more

We've been camping for 4 days straight and we were craving real food. This place had great reviews and the locals even recommended it to us. The mushroom Swiss burger was $12.99 and it came with one side. $1 more for sweet potato fries. The staff were all really polite. Just made me giggle a few times because our lettuce, onion and tomato kept sliding off on burgers onto the ground. The burger was tasty, anything might of been. I was so hungry. We sat outside and the flies were swarming us. Maybe sit inside next time. I give this restaurant 3 stars because of the price. It was $32 including tax and tip for dinner. Okay, I thought a restaurant with such an amazing view would be a tourist trap with expensive, poor quality food. On the contrary, on a recent visit with four friends, we had a lovely meal! I had the German bratwurst (it's a lot of food, so I split this with a friend) and a side salad. The vinegarette was very nice. Another friend had the ham and Brie sandwich with fries (great fries). It was too much for her to eat, so she ended up taking half home. This is a lovely location, and it would be great to eat here on a warm summer's day. read more

We decided to drop in because this cafe is located on a hill top and you have this gorgeous view of the Sierras and the valley. The breakfast blew our minds We ordered two meat lovers omlettes with different sides. The omlete was soft and packed with the best sausage and bacon. The hash browns were crispy and hot. The country potatoes had the best seasoning we've EVER tasted in ANY potatoes PERIOD. They even had the best service. We would love to visit again and try more items on the menu. read more

We stumbled upon this place while driving through and decided to stop for lunch. Initially it seemed like you could get a nice side view of the valley, but after sitting on the patio I realized the view was mostly of the highway. There was quite a bit of traffic so you can expect to listen to that. No one greeted us as we walked up, and we ended up going inside only to be told we could seat ourselves. The hostess wasn't friendly, more of a matter of fact when she gave us menus. We did get our drinks but had to ask for refills. The burgers are what they're known for so that's what we ordered. Instead of fries we ordered onion rings. Both the burgers and onion rings were delicious! I would have given a higher rating if service was friendly, and we didn't have to ask for extras like drink refills, condiments and napkins. read more

We came across this place on our way to Yosemite this winter. It happened to be lunch time and I saw the great review of this place on yelp. They have very tasty food and in a large portion. The bathroom was outside and you have to use a key which may be the only inconvenience. There is only one chef and on waitress running this place but we were amazed by their efficiency! There were many customers at lunch time. We ordered different kinds of burgers and we shared with each other. They were all great! We almost came to this place for lunch on our way back. Good memory! We were seated right away and had a waitress to take our order soon after we were seated. So, good service is something they pride themselves on. Food came out relatively fast and hot. I ordered the priest ranch omelette. Pretty good. A little bland, not a whole lot of flavor, but still pretty good. Portion sizes are definitely large for those of you that base your reviews on portion sizes. I couldn't finish my meal. For being a loner spot in the middle nowhere, this place has really good pricing. We spent $20 on our breakfast. This was one of the best vegan meals I've had in a while. We were on our way to Yosemite and saw this cute little restaurant at the top of a small mountain. The seating was over looking the hills with a soft breeze that placated the morning heat. We ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich and vegan supreme, both came with fries. The vegan beyond meat sandwich had mushrooms, onions and spinach with some fresh onions lettuce and tomatoes. This was so delicious I wished I had room for a second sandwich. My wife and I stopped on our way home yesterday to eat at, "Priest Station Cafe". 1) very welcoming and attentive wait staff, 2) I ordered the cowboy burger my wife had the California burger and wow, a) delicious and juicy, b) great portion and the burger covered the entire bun which was delicious as well, c) perfectly cooked, mine medium rare, my wife's medium, d) not overly sauced just as an enhancement, e) fresh and crisp lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and cheese. Perched at the top of Old Priest Grade you'll find the cutest little restaurant around. Newly remodeled, freshly painted, with a great patio & stunning views. I almost forgot that for years this was a creepy, run down, fenced in property that looked like it belonged in a horror flick. No more! Now it's a destination on my way into or out of Yosemite. The lunch menu consists mostly of burgers, sandwiches, & salads. That day I was craving a burger, so I went all out & got the premium, local, grass-fed hamburger with pepper jack & avo. Delicious! I had to get the house made potato chips since all the Yelpers raved about them. They were good, but I thought the fries were even better (stole some from my hubby). My only complaint about the menu was that they didn't offer a large selection of beer. But really, after a weekend in Yosemite I am rarely in need of more beer. The waitstaff were friendly & quick. They were even friendly to the family at the table next to us who proceeded to take out a picnic lunch of cheetos, chips, bread & thermoses and scarf these down while splitting 2 burgers. I made several attempts to eat here, riding my motorcycle each time. Once I got here well before they were open, so went onto Livermore for something there. Another time I actually crashed on my way and ended up eating hospital food. I finally made it! I was stunned at how good the burgers are! And everyone in my group said the same of their food.
