Sausage kale pizza to go with
    Jessica P.

Wow busy place!! For good reason- the food is incredible! I ordered an online order to be picked up at 5:30 pm. When I got there, they let me know it would be a few minutes. About 20 minutes later I asked if they were behind on schedule and the guy said Friday nights were busy. 30 minutes later my order came out and they told me they forgot to make one of my pizzas. I'm bummed they didn't just tell me upfront. They made it right and service was friendly. Pizza was SO GOOD. Sausage kale was my favorite.

(more like 3.8 stars) I ordered the Grandma's pizza (add pepperoni). The pizza itself was yummy, I love the cheesy edges. The spots without sauce are a little dry, but the pizza held up well after being delivered! I am disappointed by the amount of pepperoni on the pizza, I paid $4 extra to add pepperoni to the whole pizza, I expected more for the price. Overall, was good and I would like to go back and try their round pizzas.

This place was busy and for good reason. Pizza was amazing and loved the outdoor seating.

Incredible pizza. Got a whole white pizza and it was so cheesy and delicious. The pan was quite flat which I liked, but the sauce didn't go all the way to the edge so you end up with a lot of plain bread toward the end, which I got a bit tired of. Still delicious though. Took about 30 minutes from ordering to receiving it, which wasn't bad at all. Gave us time to walk around the neighborhood! Vibes were great. Only outdoor picnic-table seating but it was lively and fun. Parking lot is pretty limited but there's plenty of street parking, so not really an issue.

OMG - this pizza is amazing! We just found our new favorite pizza place to go to! Honestly, just came to try the butter chicken pizza, as it's trending on TikTok - OH BOY, were we surprised - absolutely love their "pies" (square pizzas), the crust and sides are yummy and crunchy, the bread feels light and airy, like eating focaccia bread. The only negative was that the pizzas were dry, they definitely need more sauce!! Customer service is on point from the moment you walk in, all the guys are ready and willing to take your order! Love that they sell pizza by the slice and that this venue has an outside patio area, where you can sit and enjoy your pizza. Definitely worth a drive, looking forward to coming back!

The pizza was BURNT ! The sauce was so-so. The crust wasn't bad. The help was fine. Kind of bright and uncomfortable for sitting. Not much parking. ^^^ Three Carrots

I've heard nothing but rave reviews from friends and family about Prime pizza and had to give it a shot. They're mainly known for deep dish but to me the real winner was the regular pie. The bbq pizza was flavorful and I loved the addition of the jalapeños for that extra kick of spice. Their deep dish was okay. I ordered the cheese bc the other option had meats I don't eat and they don't do substitutes for the square pies. Nonetheless, service was great and the pizza was good.

I think Prime Pizza is the best New York style pizza you can get in the LA area. The pizza is really crispy, and they offer both round and square pies. You can order by the slice or get a whole pizza. My go to slices are the spicy pepperoni, classic cheese, and pepperoni. The hoagie is also very good and worth trying. The parking lot itself is small, but street parking is easy and usually not a far walk. Beyond the food, this location feels very community driven. You can really see it with Pasadena and Altadena merch being sold and the overall neighborhood vibe from the people here. Seating is outdoor only in a patio setup, and they have a big TV outside where they show sports, which adds to the experience. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to.

Prime Pizza is a very casual and delicious restaurant. The corner it's on is a little wonky but I think it actually adds to the charm. Parking is usually easy for me to find and then you walk past the patio into the establishment. The staff is always very friendly and the service is quick, both to take your order and to receive your heated up slice. Regarding the pizza, the slices are a generous size and the crust is perfectly crisp. I'm vegetarian and they have ample options at the counter, you can also customize pizzas if you want a different combination for a large pizza, I really enjoy the Sicilian because the pesto is so delicious!

Good crust, it hangs like a proper NY slice

Seen Prime pop up in all the delivery apps as well as Yelp, but never really thought too much about it cause it looked like any other pizza spot. My favorite is NY-style pizza and I haven't found a good one here... however, Prime is it! They're located up Allen Ave in Altadena and comes with a tiny parking lot. I ordered a pepperoni pie with sausage on half and fresh jalapeños and pineapple on the other. Seriously, I thought it was crazy (bad) too until I tried that combo--it's bomb af with a drizzle of hot honey. The crust was chewy in a good way and still pretty crusty after delivery. I wish burrata was an option but I'll add that myself next time. The slice hung almost exactly like the one I got from Joe's in NY, and say what you want about Joe's, I love it! I'll definitely return for my pizza fix.

    Delicious pizza!!!

Thank you for amazing pizza! Will be coming back soon!! The quality ingredients are what make prime pizza different. Keep up the great quality!

Came here with a large group on a Sunday right when they opened. There was plenty of room for everyone and the 3 dogs and stroller we had with us, the patio gives a great vibe. Our group of 7 adults ordered 3 pizzas and we took 1 pizza worth of leftovers home. The garlic knots were incredible, the best thing we ate. The (round) pizzas were pretty good, not my favorite NY style pizza in the area but the flavors were fun and nothing was "bad." I've had the square pizzas from Prime before and they were way better, I'd stick with those in the future. I was really surprised by how affordable the beers were, $6 for a tall can of IPA is really reasonable. I gotta say this place has the BEST ranch I've ever had, its full of fresh herbs oh my gosh it's amazing!! I recommend coming here for a chill vibe with a larger group.

I was around Altadena and noticed this pizza spot with a steady flow of people coming in and out. I love supporting restaurants that were impacted by the Altadena fire, and this place definitely did not disappoint. We tried the following items: Spicy Pepperoni Pizza - Square-style Sicilian pizza done right. Not overly doughy, just the perfect thickness. The pepperoni had those crispy oil cups that add so much flavor. Rich, filling, and delicious, one slice was enough to fill me up. (4.5/5) Baked Bolognese - Simple but packed with flavor. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the baked top had a nice char that added depth. Comfort food done well. (4.5/5) Chicken Chopped Salad - Loaded with ingredients and very well balanced. Honestly one of the better salads I've had, great flavor and a really good dressing. (5/5) I'm glad this place made it through the 2025 fire because the food is still hitting. It was pretty packed for Sunday lunch, but people ate quickly and moved on, so turnover was fast. Definitely worth a visit. Parking: Small lot on site, may need to wait if it's full.

The patio is these narrow strips on the front and side of the restaurant. The front side is literally on the sidewalk and the side patio is cramped and facing a bunch of parked cars. Service 4 stars: Friendly and polite. Food 4 stars: Modern Italian-inspired. We had the Hamachi Crudo and the Lamb Chops as appetizers. Lamb Chops were good. The Crudo was good but a very small portion. We also had the Scaloppine di Pollo, the Charred Scallop Risotto, the Branzino alla Griglia and the Pork Chop Milanese. The Scaloppine di Polo (Breaded chicken Cutlet) was the best. The Pork Chop was a little dry. The Branzino and the Risotto were good but had way too much butter for our taste. The star of the show was the Pistachio Tiramisu which was excellent. Overall a reasonable dining experience. Prices are on par with similar establishments. Crust was a little doughy, not crispy but charcoal charred in places. Not phenomenal but not bad, middle of the road overall. Service started off great but fell flat to the floor. Drinks and food came out on time indicating bar staff and kitchen staff were on point. Waiting staff could up their game. No check up or check in. No offers for drink refills or another round. I had to ask for refills on water. Final bill $56.35 for one drink, appetizer and pizza for a solo dinner. Three (3) stars at best! Room for improvements.

A beautiful restaurant with lively vibe!…read more Great wine selection for wine lovers, and a simple cocktail menu for the liquor fan. They gave me a mega pint for my gin tonic, which I am far from complaining. The staff is super kind, super attentive to make sure our beverages and table was clear. We ordered: Anticuchos - Heart Skewers with a side of roasted potatoes, peruvian corn and rocoto sauce. I am an organ meat fan so this hit the spot. Add a dash of the rocoto sauce as it brings the flavor to a new level Bistec Con Tllarin Verde: The rib eye steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, seasoned simply. They do provide sauces on the side to enjoy of course. It comes with a savory Creamy pesto Linguine to pair with the protein. To share with a group of 5, additionally a dish called Chancho Al Palo : Rotisserie Style Pork, with their crispy skin, sweet plantains and white rice. Comes with a lovely Salsa Criolla. Another well perfected pork, keeping its savory juice within. The Salsa Criolla tops it up to the finest pairing

The customer service was warm and welcoming, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, and the ambiance created the perfect dining experience. What made this visit especially memorable was how authentic the food tasted. I recently spent two amazing weeks in Peru, and this meal instantly took me back. I was able to enjoy two of my favorite Peruvian dishes, and they were absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful atmosphere. It was truly an amazing experience, and I look forward to coming back. The only thing that could have made it even better would have been if they offered traditional picarones for dessert!
