What's not to like about a quick fast-casual pizza spot in the neighborhood? The service was quiet but friendly, and attentive for a fast- casual spot. Got the Sicilian and the BBQ Chicken slices warmed up and it took about 15 minutes from ordering to perfectly crispy crust gooey cheese pizza in my mouth. The location is clearly mainly intended for takeout pies but there's a little V shaped nook with counter seating for 6-8 people total or multiple small groups shoulder to shoulder that can do if you're hungry and want to eat the pizza fresh. Free parking in the surface lot right outside, and it even connects to an underground lot as well. Yum, highly recommend!

Square pizza

I tried this place for the first time the other day and overall, I really enjoyed it! The square pie was really good. The pepperoni were definitely a standout. There's not a ton of seating inside, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot, which worked perfectly for what I needed. The pizza itself is generously sized and super filling, so I thought the $45 total (after tip) was a fair deal. The only small hiccup was a mix-up with my order. I placed it in person and was told it would be about a 25-minute wait, so I hung out in my car. When I came back in around the 20-minute mark to check in, the staff member at the register seemed confused and couldn't find my order ticket. I hadn't received a receipt, and the person who originally took my order was on break, so there was a moment of uncertainty. Thankfully, it all got resolved when they located my pizza. Minor issue aside, the food was great!

Best pizza in LA?? @primepizzala might take the spot! This highly underrated pizza chain in Los Angeles specializes in NY and Sicilian style pizzas, with both round and square pie options. Personally, I thought their Sicilian-style square pies were some of the BEST I've had in Los Angeles, and I would highly recommend ordering that! Also on their menu- yummy garlic knots, chicken wings, Italian meatballs, salads and pasta, which are the perfect pairing to any pizza party. Service was pretty fast, and I appreciated how every pizza was crafted fresh to order, but I'd probably suggest takeout since the actual store doesn't have very much seating for customers. It was time for lunch in West LA and my indecisive self was driving down Santa Monica blvd with no destination in site. I wasn't in the mood for anything specific, but when Prime Pizza popped up I pulled in and knew it was time to get some pizza. This shop looks great from the outside, is super clean inside, and has a pretty good looking menu and slice case right up front. I was pretty hungry so I decided to get a slice of the cheese pizza and a slice of the grandma style square slice cheese as well. The gentleman who took my order popped the slices in the oven and soon enough I was on my way with two hot pieces or pizza. The pizza looked really good, but when it came to the flavour department it just didn't do all that much for me. The slice of cheese was pretty standard for a basic slice of cheese, having decent enough but not strong flavour, while the slice of grandmas style was incredibly boring, had very little flavour, and barely had sauce on it either. Overall, Prime Pizza just isn't my type of pizza place at the end of the day. Would I pop in again for some simple slices if a friend wanted too? Sure, but it's never gonna be my pick.

Needed a pizza for a group of us and didn't want the usual chain places so Prime Pizza it was. Been wanting to try so perfect timing! For three of us we got the square meat lovers with added basil (free addition). The pizza was full of depth flavor wise and in size. It was full of sauce, full of meat, and full of cheese. The added basil was kinda lacking but the flavor without it was great nonetheless. Pick up was easy and in time. The docking of one star was even in that short time to pick up the pizza, felt like the person providing the pizza was a bit perturbed and annoyed which was kinda off putting. All that said, the pizza is the star and I'd definitely recommend!

I've had Prime as delivered for a few work events and never thought anything special of it. However, I was proven completely wrong when I came in for a fresh pie with a few friends. We stopped by one afternoon around lunchtime mid-week and ordered the Sicilian pie. It took 15-20 minutes to make, so we walked around the block while we waited. The pizza was heavenly when we sat down to eat (there are some small tables outside for customers to enjoy and a small bench top in the restaurant). The crust was perfectly crispy and chewy, the proportions of sauce to cheese to pesto drip was divine, and the extra lil Parmesan packets combined made this pie absolutely divine. I'm a bit of a pizza snob as I'm from Long Island and tend to compare all the pizza I've eaten to what I can get back home. Prime Pizza when it's fresh tastes just a bit like home. For that alone, I'm sure I'll be back for some more fresh slices!

Food: 5 / 5 Went three days during my work trip. Slices are freshly rotated and top notch. Last day ordered full pizza Grandmas Pie add garlic and basil. HUGE pizza, good value. Service: consistently positive atmosphere set by friendly employees, saw the same staff who made me feel welcomed and appreciated. - nice small touches like hand packed pepper and parm packs, tasty ranch available.

Cocktails are slightly limited as it is not a full bar, but they do have options. The frozen Spritz was very flavorful, more fruit forward and would be perfect in a hot day. The Nonna's Medicine had a nice complexity to it with the flavors peeking their heads out at different times through the process. For food we started with the crudo, mussels and grilled oysters. The crudo was very fresh and had a lot going on with it's simplicity. Just a great bite. The mussels were decent but really didn't stand out in any way. The grilled oysters, however, had flavor and texture, with a Parmesan crust on top and the oyster and juice underneath. Very good! For pizza, they are almost like little personal focaccia pizzas, cut into four slices. We tried the mushroom, pepperoni and white pizzas. The mushroom has a garlic cream sauce and herb mix with Parmesan. You definitely get the mushrooms, as they are ample, but they do not over power the pizza. Just a good blend of flavors in each bite. The white comes with Japanese potato, fennel, mozzarella and pesto. Another really great bite with the potatoes not overpowering everything else. Finally, the pepperoni with spicy honey. The spicy honey is more like spicy marinara honey sauce, but it works. Could have used more of that as it came on the side. The pizza itself, with mozzarella and pecorino tasted great. Maybe that focaccia is the move? Overall, De La Nonna did not disappoint. Everything was very nice, and sitting on the patio when the weather is perfect is always a move. I would say to skip the mussels but, everything else, give it a try!

Initially we were going to…read moretry De La Nonna, but they were closed for a special event and we didn't know when we showed up. In the same vein, we stuck with a similar style of food and ended up at Propaganda. There was little to no wait, which was pleasant. It was a nice day and we decided to eat outside. The focaccia bread and salad came out first, and both were good. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bread, though my only qualms were that the bread was quite oily and the butter and salt were just a tad bit too salty for my liking. The Insalata Mista salad was solid. Good flavor, good dressing-to-salad ratio, and a surprisingly good portion size. As far as pizza goes, the Margherita was good. Tasty, moist, and a nice crunch on the crust. I found it to be enjoyable, though I may have enjoyed more fresh basil on this. I did find it better than the Boscaiola. I got the black truffle honey add on, and it does not go well on this pizza in my opinion. There was virtually no taste of truffle to me, and more of just an aftertaste of oily sweet honey. This was a miss. It's hard to say whether the base pizza was good without it because the flavor profile was just too overpowered by the aftertaste. The Arts District is definitely coming up with new upscale dining establishments, and I'm there for it. I think this is a solid addition. Though this is a wine bar, I don't generally drink, so my review is based purely on the food. Results of their drinks, which is quite an extensive list, may be to your liking! They do have an inexpensive three wine flight, for reference!

Food: - Sicilian: THIS was the winner of the evening! The sauce, mozz, ricotta, and pesto all came together to make a really tasty bite. The edges of the crust were nice and crispy, and you can taste the toasted cheese on the edges of the crust. SO good. We both decided that this was the best flavor of the night. I've had this same pizza at several other spots in LA, but Prime Pizza really executed it well here. So well balanced in textures and flavors, and the crust was both nicely crispy on the edges and fluffy in the center! - Spicy Pep: Solid pizza, and we LOVE when pizza places use cuppy pepperoni. It was a bit spicier than expected, so be prepared to *actually* taste the heat when you order this one! It's tasty and the crust for this one was also banger, but (IMO) pales in comparison to the Sicilian. Would gladly come again for the Sicilian!

Nice name, but when I see menus of any cuisine that go out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free versions of everything, it tends to put me off. I know that's an unfair prejudice, but I always assume it's more of a healthy food place for people who complain about regular food than a real tasty joint. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. Now that I've tried their fantastic pizza, my only sadness is that they are located in DTLA, where finding parking even to run in and pick up things to go is always difficult. So, we were here at first not for the food but because my teen son's death metal band, Institutionalized, was playing a show with the very popular super cool local metal band Diabology. But, hey, if you're there might as well grab something before you leave, right? So We got a cheese pie, which was excellent. Also tried a slice of their white pie, which was garlicky goodness. What really sold us, though, was the Sicilian pie we got. As born and bred New Yorker transplants who have been here a long time, we have never found a fantastic Sicilian. Good, sure, but never great. The pies are never thick enough as far as the breading. Here it was as close as we've ever got. And like the other pizza, the taste was excellent. And, as native New Yorkers, we know our pizza! Strongly recommended! Can't wait to get another Sicilian pie in the near future with some toppings.

I finally went back and tried one of their vegan pastas I hadn't tried before, and there was meat in it (pancetta). The customer service was amazing and the cashier who helped me, Melissa, was so apologetic and sweet (obviously wasn't her fault), but this is just another warning to anyone who is vegan and considers coming here. I also came when they were about to close and already had to wait like 15min longer than they said so there's not even anything else open this late for me to find other food. Very disappointing and I will not be coming back for good this time. If I could give separate stars for customer service, I would give them 5 stars but this was unacceptable on the cook's part. Do not risk it if you are vegan.
