5/28/2026 Surf & turf ordered for our 26th wedding anniversary dinner. surf = phenomenal taste & texture. turf = rubber with a slight burnt crisp to it & way too much salt added. I also added an Expresso martini = no alcohol added. When I asked the waiter he replied that's the after dinner drink version. Well either version is $12 & I did not receive alcohol in mine. So we are a 2 for 3. (He did swiftly walked by and did not make eye contact the rest of the evening until he handed us the bill) Now onto the scallops. that were possibly baked. The savior was it was wrapped in bacon. Unfortunately it wasn't crispy bacon but the flavor was there.

Our waiter, Cody came over and introduced himself and took our drink order. The restaurant is decorated nicely and had a good feel to it. Cody brought our drinks and told us about the days specials. We ordered some Filet Mignons (medium rare) and a side order of Asparagus. Another waiter delivered our food and Cody came over to ask how everything looked. I cut into my steak and it was pink in the center even though it had a mean char on the outside. The steaks were served with some mashed potatoes and a carrot. He said he'd be back to ask how it is. He didn't come back until we were close to finished. If he had come back sooner, I would have told him that the steak was overdone and dry and the asparagus & carrots were overcooked and mushy. I didn't say anything since by then it wouldn't have mattered, we were finishing up. Unfortunately, we had high hopes but were disappointed.

It's open Tuesday through Thursday from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Friday and Saturday from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM. I stopped in for the first time on Friday night and was thoroughly impressed. The food was excellent, and the service from the entire staff, especially our servers Becca and Cody, was truly top notch. I started with the bone marrow risotto and the scallops appetizer. The risotto was rich, creamy, and full of deep savory flavor, while the scallops were perfectly cooked and beautifully balanced, with a subtle kick from the wasabi mashed. For my steak I went with the 17 oz ribeye, cooked to a flawless medium rare. Every bite was juicy and delicious. For sides, I chose ricotta creamed asparagus and lobster mac. The asparagus was tender and luxuriously coated in a velvety ricotta sauce, and the lobster mac arrived piping hot and super creamy. Both were great accompaniments to my steak. From start to finish, my dining experience at Orchid Steakhouse was exceptional. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu.

The atmosphere was very nice, our server was engaging , and the featured entrees had great flavor. Unfortunately we both ordered the highly recommended oysters for our appetizers. $23.00/6 x 2 When served they were essentially oyster skins with no substance. We mentioned this to our server who agreed that this batch was unusually very small. We made mention of our disappointment to the hostess at our departure. She was kind enough to remove 1 order from our final bill which still left us paying $23.00/0 oysters.. It was a rainey day so I was hoping they weren't too busy. We lucked up with a Park Mobile space right in front of the restaurant! :) We were immediately greeted and taken to a table upon entrance. The spot is cozy and open and we were able to carry on a private conversation across the table from each other even with other diners close by. Our waitress was wonderful and I wish I could have remembered her name. She was engaging, informative and provided professional, friendly service. It was Summer restaurant week but we opted for à la carte and ordered from the appetizer and sandwich sections. I opted for the Blacked Chicken Quesadillas. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful and complicated all the other normal quesadilla ingredients. We shared the perfectly GBD fried cauliflower and opted for the buffalo sauce. Great choice. My niece chose the Roasted Turkey & Brie sans the bacon. She said they use real oven roasted turkey and not deli slices and enjoyed it immensely. We both took half our orders to go. I would definitely return when we are in town because I saw several other menu options I want to try.

We ordered the Caesar salad (phenomenal) The steak tartare, just divine perfection The waitress heard me talking about the sweat breads from the chicken dish (that I wasn't ordering, I'll explain shortly) and said the chef could do them as a side dish, DELICIOUS!!! My husband got the world's largest most delicious pork chop. Now, my meal. I ordered the halibut and recognized that perhaps it wasn't for me, but I ordered it it was my choice I wasn't going to send it back. Our waitress took note that I wasn't eating and told me that simply would not do and hustled to the kitchen to come out with the chicken dish, I was so appreciative of her noticing and accommodating this, truly, amazing service and that chicken was succulent beyond words! We also got 3 of the desserts, the seasonal eggnog bread pudding, the cinnamon raisin bread pudding which was insanely delicious as I personally am not a huge bread pudding fan but if every bread pudding was this? That would be my go to! And of course the butterscotch pudding which better never leave the menu because it is lick your plate delicious!!! I also enjoyed a hot cocktail which on a cold night was heavenly. Bolete is such an incredible culinary journey that we specifically go there from our home state because we know it will always be inviting, delicious and warm with heart and soul from the chef and staff.

Their farm-to-table approach means a rotating menu and selection of curated ingredients that make up stunning dishes. From appetizer to dessert (which sadly we didnt have room for) the menu is thoughtful and intentional. Starting with cocktails - the famous Sleigh Bells Ring (featured on the cover of Edible Magazine) was perfection. Not too sweet, warming and tart with the mescal and boozy cranberry sauce- and incredible concoction. The Dark Love Story was equally seductive with a vodka base and aperitif blend with red wine reduction. The thought they put into their menu doesnt just stop at food! We were torn between starters but the Tartare was our pick and an excellent one. The egg was golden, the capers crisp, and the truffle aoili was never overpowering. The housemade crisp chips were a welcome change from the often offered toast bites while still being an elevated dish. The potato crsted cod was served beautifully with a lobster broth poured table-aide and was accompanied by fresh clams, shrimp, and mussels- honestly not a critique to be found. The grilled Chipotle flank steak was cooked to perfection and the hen of the woods mushroom was a showstopper. All in all I struggled to not make a reservation for every night I was in town because it is a must to go back. The decor and staff arw welcoming and as thoughtful as the meals served with mushrooms present all throughout complimenting the Bolete name. 10/10 all around.

We ordered the Caribbean conch fritters that were so small. You could barely see them. The gnocchi however, was very good. The two of us that ordered the filet mignon's were very disappointed. The server told us that we should order them medium rare because the medium would be not cooked to our satisfaction. The medium rare came out overdone. When my friend asked for another steak, they brought her a new one that was completely raw in the center. It's clear to me. They don't know how to cook according to temperature. The pan sear deck duck breast was not cooked to perfection either. In between each course, we had to keep asking for silverware because they served us food with no silverware. You should never have to ask in a restaurant of this magnitude to be given silverware with your meal. When we got there, I had brought in a cake for dessert and the guy at the hostess stand said let me take that for you and bring it to the table. I said no it's a surprise. When it came time for dessert, the waitress came over and brought menus for dessert and I clearly said to her we have a cake in the back and she said oh I didn't realize it was for you. Our server was.Danieliz A. I would think when your bill is $500 you would get a little better service than what we were given. I personally owned a fine dining restaurant and to say this experience was subpar is an understatement. The other part that really upset me was when my friend had to send her steak back we were all completely finished eating by the time her meal came out to me. This was a disaster.
