Got a live chat with customer service whose only excuse for the delay was that it was airport pickup (um, so you mean driver didn't know there might be traffic at LAX? Did he just move here from Neptune?). Could not even give us an ETA for the driver so we just took a taxi. Fortunately it was still early evening so not a big deal. Customer service refused to refund my money so now in addition to crappy service they are also trying to steal. But no worries I booked with American Express so will get my money back. I don't have an option to rate ZERO?!? That's right a ZERO! Absolutely livid with this company. First off they did not show up to pick us up at the airport where we stated. Our flight was delayed and we tried contacting them through different numbers and total hold time was MORE THAN AN HOUR!! They kept putting us on hold and then tried transferring us to a bogus extension that didn't even exist because it would hang up on us!! The rep on the phone stated that it was our fault that we did not update them on our flight info when it was clearly stated when booking online. They also stated that they tried calling us in the morning to confirm when they didn't. So it's our fault that our flight gets delayed too? Because that's what happened! Basically they are stating that due to events that are out of our control we waited 3+ hours at our airport only to NEVER get picked up! Primetime kept us waiting well over our pick up time. Tried calling 6 different times to find out where our shuttle was, bad connections, they claim, as I was hung up on all 6 times. Ronny, the attendant was surly at best. We had a supervisor that was supposed to help all we got was a run around. Don't use them if you can avoid it. After a two hour wait, we were the last passengers to be picked up. Our plane got in at 2:35 and after having made reservations weeks ahead, we were picked up at the airport around 5:50 and were delivered home a bit after 8:00. We live approximately an hour from the airport when you aren't in rush hour traffic. We planned on an early pick up to avoid the rush hour. :(. To add insult to injury, the driver got in an argument with a passenger and we were left to sit in the driveway while he awaited instructions via cell phone call from Primetimeshuttle. The call didn't come and the other passengers wanted to get home. The driver was then angry and drove like a wild man after that drop off. Quite the adventure. I have been using SuperShuttle to come to and from the airport for years. Usually whenever I am coming home, I don't make a reservation because the shuttles are there waiting anyway. I exited the airport and was on my way to the SuperShuttle area when one of the Primetime greeters asked me if I needed a shuttle. I couldn't lie to him and say no and then walk 6 feet further to the SuperShuttle waiting area, so I figured I'd get their price and make my decision from there. He quoted me a price $1 less than I knew SS would be, so I figured, why not? WHY NOT?!?! I'll tell you why not!!!!!!! I sat for about an hour waiting for a van to come get me. In that time, 2 other customers received their Primetime shuttles and went on their merry ways. Strike 1. After about 45 minutes of waiting, the greeter said to me, "Oh look! They finally sent a shuttle for you!" I'm sorry, what? In the 45 minutes that I've been sitting here, there hasn't been a shuttle on the way this entire time, and you are JUST NOW telling me this? Strike 2. When I finally get into a van, and we set out on our way, I'm cooling off and thinking that maybe I won't have to write a scathing yelp review after all. HA! When we get to my apartment, I pull out my credit card and have this conversation with a very persnickety driver: DRIVER: Card? That's all you've got? ME: Yeah.... DRIVER: I wish you would've mentioned that earlier. ME: I asked the guy at LAX. He said paying with a card is okay. DRIVER: Don't ask them. They don't know anything. We are the ones who you have to pay. You should've asked me. .........strike 3. He takes my card and proceeds to run it through is iPad, which of course doesn't have service, so it takes a good 10 minutes of him trying to call it in and me standing outside of his van on my street. Absolutely TERRIBLE idea to book with this company. My sister and I flew into LAX and had prior arranged a shuttle to drive us to Anaheim. The company took our flight information, very well knowing our arrival time. Low and behold, upon arrival, the attendant waiting at the prime time stop was extremely rude and lackluster. He rudely barked, "what is your reservation name?" After giving him our reservation information, he let us know that they company said was still locating a ride to Anaheim, as if they did not have prior regarding our flight and information. We waited a whole hour, mind you, four prime time shuttles passed us up in the mean time. What a cluster-f*** On December 29, 2009 I reserved a shared ride van for a friend and I to take from the Long Beach Cruise Terminal to the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, CA. Our van was scheduled to pick us up at 10:20am, and around that time we noticed several Prime Time vans hanging around so I went to ask if one of them was ours. The man running the whole dog and pony show pointed to a van and told us to stand "right there" and we'd be on our way shortly. The driver, who was quite elderly, was told he would be taking us to Burbank and he said no, he wasn't, and a little argument ensued between the two, and the "boss" told us "get in van, he take you to airport" and we showed him our reservation and he was still giving us a hard time about going to Burbank, but finally gave in. So we think we are on our way, until he loads up the van with as many people/bags as possible, and all 6 people besides us were going to LAX! The driver said he was stopping at LAX before he dropped us off at Burbank and we were livid, after we were expecting to leave straight from the cruise terminal to the airport, which took even more time away from our commute... After the dropoff at LAX, the driver told me I had to pay cash and we got into an argument because I told him the reservation was booked on 12/29/09 (that day was 1/31/10...a month later!) and apparently they waited until then to run my CC through and it came back as invalid, a problem with the CC company, and he did not want to take another CC. He kept insisting on cash, until I finally got him to accept another CC. We head to Burbank only to get stuck in a massive traffic jam for 20 minutes...and we finally got dropped off at Burbank, and as we were getting our bags out of the van, well, after the horrendous treatment we received for the trip, we didn't even want to tip him but did anyway, and he blatently looked to see what his tip was when we handed it to him, and gave us a bit of a dirty look after. I have used Prime Time before and it has always been a good service for the price but I give it three stars this time because I had scheduled a pickup from LGB Airport but right before my flight, which was about three and half hours before my pick up time, I was told I would be able to get a ride instead of having to use the shuttle. I called and they would not refund my money! They said I had to call at least six hours before hand. Really? Six hours? What if you don't find out until, oh lets say three hours before? I think that is ridiculous. So they made an easy 30 bucks for nothing. This is the only thing I don't like about Prime Time Shuttle. They really need to change that policy. It almost makes me rather spend the extra 4 bucks and use Super Shuttle or the extra 17 bucks for 24/7 Private Shuttle. My first roundtrip ride w/them was alright. That was a few months ago. What you must know is that if there is ever a problem w/them, it will compound because their customer service is just awful. I'm not talking about their drivers. Although they're not stellar, the drivers are alright. I booked online 2 weeks ago and they double charged me. I've been calling and trying to get my money back for 2 weeks, only to be given the run around. Last week they told me I'd get a refund on Friday. Guess what? I did not receive a credit on Friday. I've been trying to call them since (hard to get a hold of someone, also will not call back if you leave a message) and I was told to speak to someone in accounting. I got hold of that lady only to be hung up on earlier today. At this point I thought I should call my bank to see if they could do anything and they did. I had a reservation on Tuesday morning, 7/22/2014, set for pickup at 6:25 AM. My entire family (myself, my wife and out two small children) had taken the red eye overnight back from vacation in Hawaii. I had prepaid to have round trip service from and to our home in Whittier to and from LAX. Our trip over went off without issue. Our return trip, however, was horrible and will result in my never booking Prime Time again. First, there was no shuttle whatsoever outside at 6:25 AM to meet us. When the shuttle did arrive at 6:35 AM, a little cart with a short, fat woman in it arrived at that same time. The woman had a prime time uniform on, but I did not get her name. The driver began to load our luggage, but she instructed him to "stop while I call dispatch." She then told the driver not to take us anywhere, and, without any explanation to us, began to walk away. I asked her what was going on, and she curtly said this wasn't our shuttle, and turned and walked away. I thanked her for providing me with no assistance whatsoever, and she became confrontational with me ("what did you say? I will be back around later and we'll figure this out"), and left without providing us any apology or assistance whatsoever. I attempted to call Prime Time dispatch, and was on hold for almost 20 minutes before someone answered the phone. When I recounted our issue, the woman on the phone simply said "Let me contact the driver," and put me back on hold. 2 minutes later, the same driver that had been parked in front of us for a half hour came over and showed me the reservation for his pickup: My Name and information. I waited 30 seconds or so for the woman to get back on the phone, but I remained on hold. As such, the driver again loaded up our luggage, and we left the airport at approximately 7:15 AM, almost an hour after our scheduled pickup time. Needless to say, this level of "service" is unacceptable. At every single junction in our return trip, Prime Time staff was rude, unhelpful and a direct impediment to my family getting home. Nobody apologized for their obvious mistake, and instead I paid over $100 to basically be treated like dirt. I booked my pick up from LAX online and this was fast and easy. The attendant at the curb was helpful & friendly, and I tipped her as I left. (She was very surprised.) The attendant tells me that the van that pulled up is mine. The shuttle driver gets out and begins talking to the attendant. I load my own bag and get in the van. THE DRIVER DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING TO ME! There was a man already in the van going to Irvine. We pick up 4 more people at LAX and leave. (I learn that one passenger is going to San Juan Capistrano.). As we get on the 405 I ask the driver who is the first drop off, and luckily it was me. As we get close to my home we get off the freeway...the driver is not lost, he is going to LGB to pick up more passengers! This all was irritating and I was quite late to where I was headed, but I am now more disgusted at their customer service. I arrived to the shuttle pickup area once I arrived at the airport, checked in, and waited an hour (which I expected due to traffic.) NEVER AGAIN. I made my reservation about a week in advance for a 630am flight. On the day of my trip, around 2am or so I receive an email telling me that my shuttle will be an hour late. Well this would cause me to miss my flight. I immediately called to cancel, and was told since it was so close to my pickup time I would be charged as a no show. I called back after my arrival to file a complaint and was told that I would receive a call within 3-5 days. No such call ever came. I called again and was told the same thing. I would give Primetime 0 stars if possible for having the worse customer service. My husband booked a ride to LAX on Saturday after 7pm for pick up the next morning at 3:45 am through a third party site called Shuttle 2 LAX. A Primetime driver showed up at our house 15 mins before the scheduled time and when my husband didn't come out he started banging on the door at 3:30 am. The driver took my husband's luggage to the shuttle and then attempted to take off without my husband because my husband was still in the house. He then got into a loud argument with my husband waking everyone up. Apparently Primetime sent an email at 12:15 AM to let my husband know of the time change! The best part is that instead of apologizing for being a jerk, the driver tells my husband "you should book a different shuttle service next time." As if that was even in question. There should really be a choice for less than 1 star!!! I paid and booked a shuttle from LAX to take me to downtown. The shuttle was over 45 minutes late. Then, the driver finally showed up, got out of the van, THREW one of my suitcases in the back and then aggressively informed me that I was NOT going to downtown, the address I gave was Boyle Heights and he doesn't drive there. I got off a plane at LAX around 11PM-12AM yesterday. I went to wait for Prime time Shuttle that I booked and paid online a few days before, and after about 15 minutes of waiting, I was told that there were no shuttle at that time, and I would need to find a way to go back by myself. They said they would reimburse me. I totally hope they would! I end up paying 22 dollars for Uber. I got on the car in 10 minutes. I have taken Prime Time Shuttle many times, and have usually had a positive experience. The last two times have been abysmal. Last time, I was not informed that my pickup time had been pushed back by 30 minutes. So I got ready and was waiting by the door, with no van to be seen. Eventually the van did come and I got to the airport on time, but it would've been nice to have been notified of the delay. This time, however, was completely unacceptable and is why I will never take them again. I had a shuttle reserved for 11:00 after a 14 hour workday coming into LAX. I was exhausted and just wanted to get home. I was informed by the agent in the terminal there would be a 15 minute wait. At 11:30, she came over to inform me that dispatch had no more vans for the night and I would need to take a taxi or Super Shuttle, and they would refund me but not pay for the alternate transportation. After and hour and 2 phone calls our original driver Angely Tann returned. She proceeded to drive in 2nd gear from LAX all the way to Long Beach, RPM's over 5000!! Thank god we arrived safe, but the SUV was smoking and smelled horrible. I have not personally used this service. However, yesterday evening, a van was on his way to pick up a customer in our neighborhood at the same time my husband was coming home. When my husband turned his truck to back into our driveway, the van was going so fast he could not stop (or chose not to) and swerved to go around him. He lost control of the van & ended up driving over the sidewalk and over our front yard. My husband pulled his truck in front of him & they got into a verbal altercation. The driver just kept insisting that he was late to pick up a client & had to go. I called the Sheriff's Dept & at that time he became even more insistent on leaving. The driver called his dispatch who then advised him to leave since there was no car accident. My husband stood in front of the van (which we know what not the right thing to do), and the driver started driving forward, pushing him with the van. This driver is lucky my children were not in the front yard where they should feel safe or they would've been victims of a horrible accident. The driver had some kind of middle-eastern or indian-type of quilts covering the front seats and the area in between. There were wires hanging everywhere. Bottom line - not very professional appeal. In summary I don't think I'll use this company again. If you are counting every penny, I guess they are good enough to take you from A to B. Update: My credit card company sided with me and refunded all my money. Prime Time threatened to release the audio recording of my call, which I was fine with, and it showed I explicitly told then to forget about cancelling my one leg, and that I never said to cancel my entire trip. Glad I got my money back, and hope that others are much smarter than me. I ended up taking a Lyft which was so much better AND cheaper! read more
