I ordered a meatball sandwich yesterday at this primo hoagies in Somers Poimt NJ and it was disgusting. The place was dirty, the windows were so dirty you could hardly see outside. I wanted cheese and onions on it and never got it.The meatballs were burnt and the service really was bad. I have been going here for a long time. The onion rings are always hit or miss. Most of the time they are soggy and sometimes they are crunchy and delicious! Their pizza is alright, nothing astonishing. Sometimes the service is great and other times I do not feel welcomed. I like the mural on the wall but the dining space is so tiny. My sandwich was made incorrectly. The owner was extremely rude when I called to let him know. I went back to the store to have the error corrected or get a refund. The owner tried to refund my money with cash from the employee tip jar. I told him that that was illegal. He threw the sandwich at me, and then a potato salad. It landed on the already dirty floor. Went into the store at 7:40 pm, looking to grab dinner for my family after trick or treating. The young lady at the counter was going to take my order but an older gentlemen yelled they were closed instead. This would not have happened to a white family and I can't see myself ever giving this company another dime. I generally eat at the Hammonton location but cannot support a company that would treat a customer like that. I've never been rude to one of their employees and always tipped. This was incredibly unprofessional and either racially motivated or the by product of not wanting to make a sandwich. Why do you have a rewards program. ?? Ive been a steady customer of the Somers Point store. I had over 200 points and wanted to redeem them for $10. off my order. I was told the following: 1.) DO you have a text or coupon? No, Look at my account they confirmed I had over 200 points. 2.) was told that now you need 400 points to redeem......really? I have to spend $400. to get $10. off? 3.) Was told my points expired. Where does it say they expire? why was this so difficult.? I left my order and will Never go to a Primos again. I'm not sure how this Primo location gets an average of 2.5 stars out of a possible 5 (as of November 2022). While I can't change anyone else's perspective, I will share my personal experience. Walking In... The ordering experience here is easy and their staff is courteous. There aren't too many tables at this location, so I presume most people are utilizing takeout orders. The menu does change from time to time, so be sure to double-check often in case they're running any promotions or new items. The food... Out of the majority of sandwich places in South Jersey, Primo is in my personal top rankings. This has a lot more to do with the bread than anything else. In these parts, it's hard to find a decent slice of sandwich bread, as most shops buy from Formica (my least favorite). They have plenty of side favorites, like chips, potato salad, and so forth. Overall, I can't complain about this place. If you're looking to try something different, it might be your best bet. Note that there are multiple locations, so it is a franchise, but if you don't mind that, give this place a try! read more

Tried to order on New Year's Eve around 5:20 and was hung up on several times before someone answered. I was then put on hold immediately and left there indefinitely. So, while waiting for my fiancé to complete an appointment, my stomach began to growl and I found the first food place I could find. PrimoHoagies in Somers Point. The woman taking my order was great, very nice and quick service. The Roast Beef hoagie was delicious. Fresh bread and high quality ingredients. Quite yummy. My only issue is the price. It is very overpriced for the small amount of food you receive. The food is expensive and the portions are tiny, as if they were some high priced NYC restaurant. My cost was $17, including 20oz Pepsi, and I left hungry. That is pricey, and not worth it... unless you are starving and can't find any other places to eat. read more

I love this Primos! The negative reviews must be from before they changed management which was pretty recently, from my understanding. The sandwiches are excellent, packed with meat and toppings.
