The pizza is definitely different from the others. There's more dough and less cheese, but the crust is **caramelized to perfection** and gives the pizza such a unique flavor and texture. The restaurant is sit-down and can take up to an hour, so definitely plan accordingly. You can also order it for delivery, but make sure you specify that you want it sliced. We learned that the hard way! I guess they're worried the pizza will slide around during transit. We go back every time we're in Chicago and have even had it shipped to Florida. That probably says enough about how much we like it!

The owner of this place might be the worst human being I've ever encountered in my entire life. Please, I beg you, do not support this man or his business. He is bad for the neighborhood and the people who live in it. He gives out free food to the cops in our area in exchange for them issuing out bogus parking tickets to anyone that LEGALLY parks in front of his store. I've constantly seen him yell and harass people going in and out of our building which is attached to his pizza shop. He's yelled at me before for walking my dog on the sidewalk in front of his store. We don't need people like this doing business in an area that is trying to become family friendly. Worlds worst service. I placed an order for a chicken breast sandwich to go. When it came up, another customer had ordered the same thing to eat in. In spite of the fact that I was right there to claim my order, they unpacked it in front of me and gave it to the other customer. I waited another 15 minutes while other customers came in, ordered and were served. When they finally gave me my order and I got back to my office, the chicken sandwich was inedible. Each piece of chicken had a rock-hard, dark brown, completely dried out crust of meat around a small sliver of dried out but still properly colored bit of chicken breast. It was disgusting. The pizza may be homemade but they use canned goods! The mushrooms used are the grossest things I have ever tasted. She said well that's the way it is do you want it or not? I said I understand that but you never told me that but how am I supposed to know. She said well it's always a 4% charge. So I said and I'm just supposed to automatically know that I'm going to be charged 4% and should do the math on my own? And she said well you would have seen the price in the receipt when you got your delivery. So I told her that is her responsibility to inform me. That if she told me one price and I later see a higher price on my account that would be a problem. She proceeded to say that it's not her money and she's not the one charging me that it's the machine. I said that she is the one giving me a total and taking my card information so she needs to provide me with accurate information. Again she said do you want it or not? I said yes but switch it to cash. And I asked to speak with a manager. She said there wasn't a manager there. I asked when there would be one and she said later. I asked what time later. She said after 5. Again she asked so do you want it. I said yes but switch it to cash. She left me on hold for quite a while. I thought she'd hung up the phone. When she finally came back on she said she voided the transaction. I asked her for her name for which she responded was Maria. This was very frustrating. Benny's you need to do better. She is a bad seed that I'm pretty sure has Informed many customers incorrectly about the total cost. She was rude, unapologetic and lacks the skills to work with paying customers. I've never had a problem with any of the other employees except her. I was so frustrated I came close to ordering from somewhere else. But I love the pizza here.

I always order from Bennys Pizza when I want pizza! It's good. I always forget to order it well…read moredone. It elevates the pizza so much more. I usually order peperoni and pineapple but this time I got a sausage pizza. It was delicious. I'm so glad it did not have fennel. I would definitely order it again. I got it for delivery and it was delivered quickly.
