Great service and family atmosphere in a sea of mediocre chain restaurants. I prefer to check out old family run places. I had an Italian sub and the bread was fresh and tasty. I love the bread. Everthing was fresh. The pizza, however, was not my favorite style. I think the cheese had cheddar mixed in. Thick crust, lots of oil. I've heard it called pub style. I'd go again to try every sub, which they call sandwiches. The fries were awesome. Looks like they have decent buffet too. Places like this need more recognition. read more

What a horrible take out experience. The pick up parking isn't monitored by the staff so good luck if you are looking for pick up parking out front. Ordered mild prince wings. Got home to hot & burnt prince wings!! The blue cheese dressing was watery ... yuck! Both pizzas were burnt on the top and bottom. Our group went to lunch on Tuesday. Barring blizzards and Covid, our group of nurses have been going to lunch every month for about 50 years. I hadn't been in a while, but I was very impressed. There was a huge and varied menu, and they happily accommodated requests for food adaptations (due to allergies etc). The food was reasonably priced, large portions and very good. Our waiter was amazing, and happily agreed to give us separate checks. The owner came by a few times to make sure we weren't waiting for something. He encouraged us to stay and enjoy ourselves. We lingered over our meals and coffee- they even offered us more coffee ! Our friends who were not able to attend asked if we could go there again for our next lunch. Thanks again for a lovely time. I am a sucker for the famous Route One landmarks and will always brave the hustle and bustle of this busy road in attempt to reach my favorite destinations. I nearly cried when they announced the closing of the Hilltop and I still tear up a bit when I see the lonely, freestanding cactus and large empty lot where the steakhouse used to be. Fortunately the familiar, yet somewhat tacky, leaning tower of "Pizza" and its attached restaurant has maintained its success for almost fifty years. Prince Restaurant is a fun, casual establishment well -known for their pizza. Full disclosure: I've never tried the pizza. I have had a few different pasta dishes that I find worthy of three stars. I grant Prince four stars overall, however, taking into consideration the restaurant's attached comedy club "Giggles." I am not a huge fan of the ordering system at Prince. Customers must place their order at the counter upon entering, find a seat, and raise their hand to alert the server of their location once their name is called. Ticket holders at "Giggles" have the advantage of full table service and I must note our server was very helpful and attentive despite the crowd at tonight's sold out show. This was my first time attending the comedy performance here at the attached club (separate dining room within the restaurant) and I really enjoyed the experience. The comics included Steve Sweeney, Tony V (who had a brief role in Seinfeld), and Lenny Clark. Stand up comedy can be so hit or miss, but tonight was a definite hit. Lots of great hometown comedy which once again reaffirms how proud I am to be a Bostonian. Before the show started we dined on an Italian feast which began with a delicious, cheesy, garlic bread appetizer. I chose the Eggplant Parmesan with angel hair as my entree and found it just okay as it seemed a bit dry -perhaps baked a little too long. I also wish it had been covered in a bit more sauce. My friends seemed happy with their pizza and baked penne. Dinner service begins about an hour before the show which gives diners plenty of time to eat up before the lights are dimmed for the comics. The show runs about an hour and after it wraps up servers return to the tables with the checks to square up. Tony V hung out to meet and greet a bit after the show. I had a blast tonight and enjoyed a night with friends that was a little bit out of my ordinary Saturday routine. read more

This is NOT a traditional pizzeria... But it's a fun place! I've been driving past Prince now for 15 years and never stopped. Today, however, we needed a place to celebrate a very important milestone - kindergarten graduation! So here we are. The place is open with lots of tables throughout. You order at the counter and then wander off to find just-the-right table. Your name is called and your food arrived. The pizza is pretty good. The crust is buttery and crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Toppings are generous and the sauce is respectable. It is loud so casual conversation is difficult. We will return next time we need a pizza place in-between our house and our daughter/grandson's house. read more

So I may have had written my last review (2/2016) after the extra glass of red wine but Prince Pizzeria, we need to talk... I came back, licking my wounds. Hoping, wishing, PRAYING the eatery from my childhood bounced back (you know, like, they changed the pizza sauce recipe or invested in lysol) better than Britney in 2008. I am disappointed to report that they made no such changes. The food was just as ever disgusting. Burnt crust, burnt cheese. Cold by the time it came to the table. Appetizers reheated in the microwave. The same pepper flakes in the shakers since 1984. I am convinced that the latest five star reviews were paid for or those people live in some kind of alternate Pizza-purgatory. But, seriously... I know Prince is an iconic staple of the North Shore. Management/owners, please don't let it get any worse than it is. You hire quite of few young people and pay taxes. Don't force us to have to go to Domino's. read more

Prince Pizzeria restored my faith in the kindness of people and the restaurant industry. On fairly short notice, our large group found itself without a place for a team event. Despite the fact that it was a busy Friday night, Steve and his staff were very accommodating, offering delicious food, fresh pizza and even took an extra step to care for those with food allergies. The pizza was amazing, the pasta filled us and the salad was fresh and tasty. They also offered chicken Parmesan and grilled chicken - delicious!! This restaurant has to be the most inconsistent place I've ever been to. One time it's great one time it's terrible. They just can't get it right. If you're going to be terrible be terrible all the time. If you're going to be great be great all the time. Ordered a pizza over the phone.. Told the person that the past few times the pizza has been burnt. He said no problem he would order it lightly cooked . My fault because I should have checked it when I picked it up. This is probably my favorite Pizza place around. The pizza is absolutely to die for, with the proportions of crust to cheese to sauce being perfect and exactly what I'm looking for in a good Pizza. Although they could be a bit bigger, I promise whatever the Pizza is lacking in size, it makes up for in taste. Pizza isn't the only delicious item this restaurant has to offer. The large menu offers a very wide range of scrumptious dishes to try and most likely devour. Had a party of 14 people today. Not everyone had arrived yet, and the cashier continued to yell over to us asking how much longer it would take for everyone to get there. He said we could not order or sit without everyone (which made sense). BUT when we all had arrived, and ordered together, the food came out at complete different times anyways! My poor grandma was eating her eggplant rollatini's 20 mins before we got our pizzas. Also we separated though there were larger tables open the entire time we were there. I've been going to this place since I was a kid, and would have to rate this as one of my most favorite pizza places. The crust is buttery, perfect amount of sauce, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Their pizza is a bit more pricey than your average chain restaurant. The restaurant style is a bit more rustic (kinda looks like a giant barn). It's family owned and they're very friendly. If you can get there for their all-you-can-eat lunch, do it! $5 for all the pizza/pasta you can eat! Sometimes there's a line at the pizza station, and the layout is not very conducive to cycle through, but for $5...! And if you want their pizza to-go, you can get the pre-cooked pizzas, which you just need to re-cook when you get home. I think they're $20 for 3 pizzas, which is not a bad deal, especially if you love that buttery crust! read more

This review is for their delivery order. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and a side of meatballs. The spaghetti wasn't al dente, but I'm guessing because it was delivered. Going out to eat and finding different restaurants can be troublesome for me because of my food allergies. I am allergic to wheat, so I have not eaten pizza in over a year. And aside from chocolate and coffee, pizza is my very favorite food. Well, I read online that Prince Pizzeria actually makes a second type of pizza that is gluton-free. The dough is made of beans instead of wheat flour. I ordered a mushroom pizza and it was very tasty. In no way, however did it compare to the delicious pizza my husband was eating. He ordered a green pepper and onion pizza. When the waiter bought it out, it was incredible... Probably one of the best-tasting pizzas I have ever eaten (I took a little bite..) What more can you say about Prince Pizzeria that hasn't been? The pizza is the best I've ever had, uniquely tasty, fluffy, light yet robust. You can eat a full pizza before you know it. My wife and I hosted our small rehearsal dinner at Prince a few months ago, and the whole experience validated that we made the right decision. We had originally planned on hosting it elsewhere, but as our wedding plans changed with the pandemic, we sought Prince because of their proximity to our location, our history working with them, their function rooms and their established success hosting events. And predictably, everything went without a hitch, with everyone loving the food and drink, having a great time and feeling comfortable and safe. Even better, their team was flexible to allow us to set up a projector to show a video of my wife and I through the years. Came here as a kid for baseball award ceremonies, and other sports related times. Prince is most memorable for their pizza. The pizza dough was thick cardboard- the cheese was like skim milk and lacking in flavor, while the top was overly greasy- probably the main pro is the amount they offer is enough to fill your stomach 6 times over... be ready for the food comatose while your body shuts down and works overtime to fix the bad decision of coming here. They also offer comedy nights and often are a part of the community. But how is this pizza place still open when you have 5 star pizza restaurants like Santarpios and Polcarris across the street? In Saugus town center, J&M pizza kicks Prince's Pizza in the teeth. read more

I'm at loss of words as I think about how to write this review.... My husband and I have been coming here for years we love the pizza and the French fries! We had our son in April 2020 and decided to have our son's first birthday party there. We spoke with the owner and met with the manager Erica. We had discussed we would mainly want cheese and pepperoni pizzas and they could bring out others also we had agreed on the buffet so it was supposed to be unlimited pizza , salad, pasta. Where do I begin we arrive at the tent and start setting up. The waitress we thought that was going to be with us traded with another waitress. Unfortunately when I looked around at the tables in our tent for the party we had rented many had MUSHROOM PIZzA and there were a few cheese/pepperoni. So at a table of 8 can someone tell me why there would be one pizza at a table for 8 and it was mushroom that nobody at the table touched? I'm confused if prior before the party we said cheese and pizza are the main pizzas we want why they're dropping full Mushroom pizzas at tables and half cheese half pepperoni? Silverware was an issue we had to keep asking and it was nearly impossible to find the waitress we had. The waitress handed out salads then selected which tables she would drop pasta off at because many people informed us they didn't even know there was pasta. You know the worst thing was my son had a smash cake and my family members helped me clean the baby up after but you would think the waitress would ask us at all hey is there anything I can get you? I used my own baby wipes but maybe some napkins could've helped but hey what do I know I'm just the mom over here. So the waitress never checked on us ever and it felt like every time we asked her to get us something it was like we were bothering her my husband just paid over $800 for a party and you never said a damn word to him. So they could put soda on the tables which were never refilled by the way and pizza but apparently covid must not have the appetite for that but it enjoys pasta and salad because the staff would have to bring it out to the tables. Did I forget to inform you that coffee comes with the package for 18 dollars a person but that was never offered either to My guests but hey here's 50 bucks off which is 1/3 of the gratuity lol A few people ordered alcoholic drinks and the waitress failed to inform them alcohol isn't included. What drives me nuts is the guests that ordered alcohol asked for a separate check and the 50 year old lady just ignored it and made damn sure to put it on my bill. Now we complained to the manager who told us that the owner would call us on Monday but hey what do you know it's been two weeks and no call but we were given a $50 gift-card if this facility handled the event correctly we wouldn't be complaining but the fact is they screwed up why the hell do you think my family and I would ever return? Maybe they should have the young college kids doing the birthday events where they seem quick, efficient, and actually care what they're doing. Two of my guests informed me when they were coming out of the bathroom a waitress was complaining saying, "We're doing all this work and not getting any money." If one more person especially from this place tells me it's because of covid I'm going to scream. Not sure if you knew this but hey I gave birth in this damn pandemic I had an emergency c-section and my husband couldn't go to the hospital until a few hours before the birth so don't tell me oh it's because of COVID. Best half cook Pizza to go anywhere. Just pop them in your oven for 7 minutes when I get home and you get hot delicious pizza right out of the oven just like going to the restaurant. I like the pizza on the crispy side, so the pizza always cooked perfect when I cook, LOL. The Prince Pizza are better than any national store box pizza if you haven't tried them before. Despite my Irish looks, I am half Italian and was raised in a traditional Italian American home. This restaurant was very nostalgic of my great grandparents home with its amazing decor. The pizza is perhaps the best on the North Shore. The slice size was just right. We feasted on pizza and eggplant also. Both were delish. This is down home Italian comfort food. They offer pizza and I think pasta dishes to go. I went there for a birthday party and this is a great spot for a function. Unfortunately my fantasy of finding cheap hearty well made pasta led me to a place I would expect to find somewhere on the outskirts of Orlando: a 'factory' restaurant churning out barely edible and wholly unexceptional "Italian" food to the masses and their high-chair aged children who take 3/4 of their meal home because they give diners too much food to begin with. Everything about Prince is tired and cliched. You order at the front of the restaurant and they bring you the food. No waiter service, kind of a self-serve place with a tired looking salad bar. Living close to RT 1 can be a blessing and a curse. We like to try new places so we decided to try this place. I will never ever go back here. And this is why. We ordered the following: Salad Bar Caesar Salad Cheese pizza with half black olives Chicken Broccoli Ziti My date could not eat his Caesar, it was over dressed and the lettuce was wilted. It really looked like a pile of green slop with croutons. I had the salad bar, meh. The options consisted of lettuce, beets, cucumbers, cheese, and dressings. Seriously lame and under impressing. My date's ziti came out 15 minutes before my pizza. The ziti wasn't bad but the sauce looked like it came from a jar. Honestly could have made that in 2.2 seconds. He didn't complain so we have no complaints there. My pizza came out 15 minutes later. Which was really obnoxious because I hate eating after the other person has finished. The crust tasted like a pre-made pizza hut crust and it was only slightly warm. This review doesn't sound too bad right? So here is why I won't go back. I got incredibly sick this morning. And I know it was from that place. My date didn't get sick and he didn't have my pizza. So if you don't want to risk dying the next morning, don't eat here. read more

My sister and I tried it because we were looking to have a birthday party there for her daughter.
