Saturday, July 20, 2024 around 3:30 p.m. Only 1 customer inside eating. Staff was relaxing. I walked in ordered spaghetti and stewed spareribs plate to go. I was trying tbgive this place another chance but, they failed me again. Food was warm not Hot. The spaghetti just had some tomato sauce tossed with it no seasoning. The ribs were just chopped up and put in the sauce to cook. Plate was not heavy and when I got home the food didn't even come up to the rim of pan. I can now officially write this place off my return and try list. The place is also a bit pricey. read more

Pizza is just okay, I find that the crust is so paper thin that it can't hold all the toppings that are piled onto it. The ziti slice has a tasty vodka sauce but needs to be cooked longer so that it holds together more. They are reasonably priced for the area and have a lot of Spanish dishes as well to choose from. If you think of pizza and imagine a thin crust with fancy toppings positioned like modern art ... this is not it. Go to Table 87 for that. This is greasy pizza with so much cheese that you can't see any tomato sauce. This is pizza that holds garlic powder and chili flakes like a pro. $15 bucks for a large pie. Not $35. It's simple. It's predictable. There's something familiar and comforting about that. If you're health conscious.. this is not the pizza for you. I heart Princess Pizza....they always make my pies well done (I like the cheese a little dark) and I love the way the guy says "Princess" when you call up to order. Delivery is fast and friendly, prices are very good. Had a meatball parm sub one time that was good. If this pizza place were a Disney princess, it wouldn't be a hot one like Ariel or Jasmin, but it would be a solid, attractive and reliable princess like Belle (though with less attitude than she had. The other food they serve must be delicious or maybe they sprinkle crack on their ice cream but short of that -- I would never, ever recommend buying a slice of pizza from this place. Princess is a full-scale Italian fast food joint with ample seating and plenty of meal-like dishes. It looks like a diner for Italian food. But I only get slices from there, so I'm reviewing it only from a pizza joint perspective. They have a good slice. Thin, greasy, with a crust that's a little on the soft side. Sicilian slices are nothing special here. Biggest drawback--they close so early, at 9pm I think. I'd go to Princess more if they weren't always closed during the drinking hours. read more

I realize that times are tough, and I feel for any restaurant that hits closing time with unsold food to throw out - but tonight makes twice now that Princess Pizza has delivered an old pizza. You know... boxing and delivering a pre-made pizza that's been sitting under a heat lamp for a while as opposed to making a fresh pie as ordered. Last time it was a plain pizza. This time I ordered a mushroom and they clearly threw some mushrooms on top off an old plain pizza. I'm bummed because now I can't order from this place any more, and that sucks because I've been ordering from them for 7 years, and I liked them, and like to support local. Lost a customer today. One of the worst things is deceptiveness in business. I've been ordering the same thing for 6 months. Usually cost $8.75 max. Today however I watched as two employees conspired and lied to overcharge me on food lol . As the guy lied to my face I smiled and took it because one honestly 2.75 overcharge isn't going to kill me but it was the principle behind it. This place is also one of my favorite pizza places in Park Slope. Even though it has to contend with Peppe's and Joe's in my heart, I usually like to grab a slice here after I deposit my money at the Bank Of America across the street! The people who work there are pretty nice and they are one of the few places nice enough to a) tape your take out box up and b) give you napkins. It's a small little touch, but it's nice! If I wasn't so used to eating my pizza in my living room with a drink and watching Netflix, I probably would take advantage of their nice seating arrangements and enjoy myself. read more

If you come around 11:30-12 (lunch ) you may find the line out the door. It does move fairly quickly though. However, most of this is for the Spanish food they serve here. I haven't tried The Spanish food yet so I can't review that myself. The pizza used to be really good. Now it's something if you need a quick bite. I prefer their Sicilian (square) over their slice. The garlic knots are pretty good though but you only get 3. My picky toddler on the other hand, ate a whole slice and then asked for more! read more

my local pizza joint with a decent "utility" slice (non-artisanal / non-coal-oven / etc)... i must say, very good plain slice! but here's the kicker - for a couple of days, kept eyeing the Spanish food on the side - and they were always out of the yellow rice (even around 7pm!) - so on the third trip, decided to have the white rice with red beans and stewed chicken... it was excellent! very surprising for a run of the mill corner pizza joint. Word of advice to the management - if you keep running out of the yellow rice and beans, wouldn't you maybe want to make more of it?? :) read more

Got a square pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni, and a calzone, both of which were tasty but definitely had some room for improvement. The calzone was baked a bit too hot, the outside was borderline burned and the inside tasted underdone and doughy. The pizza was a good value for the size (9 slices ~4x4" each) and even though the dough was a bit thick, it was cooked to perfection - crispy, greasy, chewy, delicious, with lots of cheese and not a lot of sauce. They used canned mushrooms, which, for a $3.00 topping could have been fresh, and the pepperoni weren't the greatest. read more

The rice and beans are delicious ..food that comes out of the kitchen is just amazing a must try..it seems to me that the kitchen guy really knows how to cook , very tasteful and seasoned..one question that goes through my mind is if that tip jar on top of the counter is shared evenly among all including the kitchen guy..just a question you might want to ask yourself before you even leave a tip read more

I stop in here for a coffee every weekend, and usually get a slice at least once a week. They also have a big selection of Spanish food like yuca, shredded chicken etc. The staff is super friendly. They always make my iced coffee just like I like it. read more

My local go to pizza place. Service is always quick and great and the pizza is pretty damn great. Ordered a pepperoni and mushroom one time and am pretty sure that the mushrooms are canned. My ususal is a large pepperoni and sausage, which we reheat in the oven to get the slices really crispy. read more

I can only speak for the pizza here, but I have to say its my favorite in the neighborhood. The sauce isn't too sweet, the cheese:sauce:crust ratio is perfect, and the slices are quite large. At $2.50 for a plain cheese slice, prices are pretty standard for the area. I come here more often than I should because it's very convenient and the pie is delicious and well priced! read more

Just had my first pie from here. It was a little wet overall; crust seemed like it could have used another few minutes in the oven. Bottom was just approaching crisp. This crust is a bit thicker than the usual, but soft and just chewy enough. Mushrooms were canned as opposed to fresh, but were very flavorful. Greek salad was solid - ingredients were fresh (even on a Sunday night near their closing time) and they were very generous with the feta. The only downside of the salad is that it arrives with two cups of vinegar (including white vinegar, which I thought odd), and no oil. So - you might want to have a dressing backup. They close at 10pm so order early. read more

5 indeed. princess pizza has been my friend for the past 3 years. without getting too rediculous about a pizza place with neon purple lights blaring on the outside, i must say i've had quite a relationship with this place. Their pizza is probably not 5 stars - more like 4. their service is probably not 5 stars (probably 3 or 2, actually. i have called ahead and when i get there they havent even started cooking the damn thing yet). However, their prices - now that's 5 stars. except when the man charges you whatever he feels like, without any basis in the menu, and i have to argue with him ... "just last week, you charged me $11 for this same pizza, not $15". but anyway, it seems now that a cheese pizza is $11. which is 5-star worthy. so to end my rambling, what makes princess 5-stars, is that when i want brooklyn pizza, with some delicious grease, and soft crust - definitely princess. it's my favorite. read more
