Very rude management. After I requested quote of an installation project, they provided me with the scope of the job, service included and the estimate quote. I was simply asking about the possibility of reducing the quote, they did not even bother to communicate whether the price is negotiable or not, but simply rejected my project. I can't give a rating low enough for Pro Appliance Installation. They installed both our Wolf oven range and our Thermador refrigerator. If your installation goes well then their service is fine. Their installers were courteous and professional. But if things aren't quite right, their customer service is horrendous. It wasn't obvious at the time but shortly after they left, looking closely from the sides, the refrigerator had what looked like alignment issues. We were mostly worried that the doors were not shutting properly and we simply wanted Pro Appliance to come out and take a look. The person we spoke with on the phone was incredibly combative, disrespectful and rude and repeatedly said that they ask for approval of the installation before they leave and that was our one opportunity to point out anything amiss. I find it comical that Yelp says a highlight of the business is that their workmanship is "guaranteed". We honestly would not have cared if they came out and looked closely at the installation and told us it was a cabinet problem, or an uneven floor problem or whatever. But the fact that the person on the phone was rude, disrespectful and combative multiple times is why I'm giving my rating. If your installation goes smoothly then I'm sure your experience with Pro Appliance will be positive but if there is anything not right, they are reluctant to stand behind their work. If your appliance store recommends Pro Appliance for installation, insist on a different installer. read more

I live in Santa Cruz. I cannot understand why local service shops who quote $2,000+ for a vent hood installation. I would definitely recommend Pro Appliance based on my recent experience. I had Pro appliance install my stacked washer/dryer in my home. I called the company and received a quote over the phone the same day. Dathan was able to schedule my install for two days later. Ajay showed up for the install on time, but as he got to work he discovered that the gas line we had purchased for our gas dryer wasn't long enough to accommodate a stacked washer/dryer, and finding a longer hose would mean special-ordering. He was up-front and honest with me, saying he could do a work-around and just link two hoses together, but that it would introduce more risk for gas leaks. Ultimately we decided we would go the safer route, which meant finding a longer gas line. Ajay actually went to the trouble of searching online for a gas line when he got off work, and ordering it. We rescheduled the installation after the part was delivered. On the day of the installation I was promised an arrival window of 11-3. Ajay got delayed on another project so didn't end up getting to my house until 615. But he completed the job, and even though it was the end of a long day I didn't feel like he was rushing to get done. The only thing I wished would have been different is the communication about the delay. I wasn't notified of the delay until about 230, and even then they said he would be there by 330. Then it wasn't until after 4 when I got another call saying he wouldn't get there till 545... I just would have appreciated a little more heads-up on the timing. Overall I'm still 95% happy with the experience so I will give them five stars. read more

I had Ajay from Pro Appliance come to install a double wall oven. We had a single oven before, so he had to cut the cabinets that were not in the greatest shape. He did an excellent job. Nice guy who listened and advised on the best solution to what ended up to be much more difficult than expected. Turns out the previous owner cut corners in the old oven wiring. The junction box was just hanging unattached to a stud and taped from wall wires to the old oven without conduit housing, wire nuts, or a faceplate for junction box. Ajay brought it back up to code and fixed this serious fire hazard. The install seemed pretty affordable due to the large amount of time and work. I will use these guys again for any appliances I get. And I've already recommended them to a coworker. read more

This required penetrating the ceiling and roof and framing out the support structure in the ceiling. The installers were very kind and knowledgeable. Kevin and Ajay saved my kitchen because I had bad experiences with several other installers. They know much more about appliances than the 4 other companies that I tried to hire and Kevin fixed many things that the previous installers did wrong. Three months ago, I ordered a full set of new, high-end kitchen appliances from a showroom in San Jose. I was excited that my remodel was almost done, but my contractor warned me that it is very difficult to find good appliance installers in the bay area and now I understand exactly why he said that. I first used an installer that the store recommended (NOT Pro Appliance) and they didn't install a single appliance correctly. The dishwasher was overflowing, they couldn't figure out how to connect the water line to the fridge, and they installed two appliances in a way that is an electrical hazard, which voided the warranty on my very expensive appliances! I had to hire a plumber to correct a couple of issues and the store had to arrange pick-up and delivery to replace the appliances that the installers messed up. However, the next 3 installers were no better. One of them told me I had the wrong breaker (30A instead of 50A), which was not true. Another one told me that he could not fix the issues. I had a representative from the manufacturer come to check my appliances and he told me that, not only were the appliances installed incorrectly, but this happens all the time because most of the appliance installers in the bay area are incompetent! After three months, I spent a total of about 40 hours making phone calls, taking time off to wait for installers to come within the standard 4-6 hour time slot, asking friends for recommendations, etc. Don't waste your time with other installers, like I did. Save yourself the headache, time, and money to hire the one installer that really knows what they're doing. When Kevin and his team came to my house, they quickly made several changes to my electrical wiring, installed the oven and cooktop correctly, they answered all my questions, and even cleaned up some of the packing material that the previous installers hadn't removed properly. When they finished installing those two appliances, they checked the installation of all of my other appliances too. They leveled my dishwasher, replaced the kick plate (which was installed backwards by the previous installer), and fixed the range hood (which was bent by the previous installer). They even explained to me why some appliances are better than others. If I could do everything over again, I would call Pro Appliance before I even make a purchase, get recommendations from them on which appliances are best, and then have them installed correctly the first time. I rarely write reviews, but felt it was warranted to do so now. We have used this company on two occasions, initially to install a Thermador gas range and most recently a Thermador dishwasher. In both instances, the installers arrived on time and went about their work in a steady and efficient manner. They came prepared with the tools and equipment needed to move and install the appliances. They took special care to protect our flooring when bringing in the stove and dishwasher, and did the same when removing the old appliances. Everything went into place as expected; no drama! When done, they took the time to provide an overview of the appliances and their features, something that I didn't expect. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Coleton Kampfe who installed our dishwasher. He took special care to ensure the dishwasher was leveled in all directions, and it is now flush with the kitchen cabinets, unlike the previous installation. I bought a single oven from local hardware store. Since they are NOT selling appliances only store, they have to make arrangements for measurement, delivery and installation separately. Make the long story short, I finally received my oven after few weeks..by the time I'm ready for installation, the installer said they can not do it because the wires didn't routed correctly from the previous construction worker, so they refused to installed. Thanks God, I found Pro Appliance Installation from Yelp. They have on line estimate form to filled out. After two days, Dathan called explaining what's the cost approximately, also he sent very detail estimate information to my email. The price is right, so I made an appointment right away. Kevin arrived on schedule and was very efficient and methodical in installing the new double ovens and removing the 40 year old ones - all GE. Some modifications had to be made but GE offers a rebate for the additional cost. All was done expertly and he even vacuumed up some sawdust that had fallen as a result of the modifications.
