Somehow, Jennifer managed to make beauty out of my beast of toes. She was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience enjoyable. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Angel. She was very friendly, animated, and you could tell she genuinely enjoys interacting with her customers. It is always nice to see an owner who is passionate about their business and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone in our group had a great experience, and we all left happy and relaxed. My nail technician was JADE and she…read morewas SO meticulous when it came to painting the intricate designs, shaping my nails, and consulting me (and another very skilled technician named MIA) on what techniques she could use to achieve a certain look! Jade was very patient with the whole process and pulled out all the stops. This nail color is the Sapphire Blue Cat Eye as the base. She used a thin nail brush to paint the black swirls and gold glitter accents. I witnessed a gold chroma being applied too (it was like a magic show)! The center nail uses the Pearl Cat Eye color with a vertical ombré using the same Sapphire Blue from my other nails. Jade glued on the water drop shaped gemstone as the center piece. Jade really went above and beyond to achieve the custom look I was seeking. All I did was show her the inspiration picture and she really brought it to life! In total from start to finish, it took ~ 2 hours to complete the manicure. The results definitely show!!! I recorded a video so you can see the cat eye shimmer effect. She took extra time to readjust the design or sharpen the tips to my preference. She even taught me how natural nails have a specific technique to keep layers from peeling, so I learned a lot here. The music was relaxing instrumentals of popular songs and everyone was good about cleaning in between services or steps. This is a great salon to bring your design inspirations to life. I do plan to return the next time I want a specific design done. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is my own preferences on symmetrical French tips, which is a really challenging thing to do. The spa pedicure includes the paraffin- which is a must for me. Every person that has done my nails have been incredible beyond words. What I really appreciate? They're probably the best prices Elk Grove has to offer for the quality you get. Making an appointment is easy- I always call about 30-60 mins before I arrive and rarely had an issue. Parking is nice and I love stopping by the Nugget after for a quick lunch. I will say, my only negative is that I wish I was consistently offered something to drink. Sometimes, it's not offered. For me, my pedicure and manicure experience includes mimosas. It's my monthly treat and I'm not brave enough to ask for it unless they're taking a drink order. Some of the artists are reallllllly great about asking and some don't. It's not a deal breaker for me though.

Not only was this nothing like acrylic and what I believe not done well at all, it was triple what a full set might have cost. That was an absolute shock when I went to pay. I wasn't really happy with the quality of the work done once I got home and researched what a gel set was and supposed to look like and not to my surprise my concerns were valid. So I called and was asked to come back so they could make it right only to be told once there that this is normal and when my nails grow out the gap will close. She showed me her set and they were absolutely nothing like mine and honestly what I would have expected mine to look like and I said that to her and she told me it's because her nails have grown out and now the gap has closed. That logic isn't lining up for me and I didn't want to keep going round and round. I stated at least three times I didn't like it and it's not what I wanted, but she only said they could fix if a nail broke or came off. Now on vacation, I am having to scrap and dig sand, lotion and food out of the gap between each of my nail and the poorly applied fake nail that is way to big for my nail bed but was glued on anyway. My hair is getting stuck In between and pulling it out. It's like I have press on nails done by a toddler. Very frustrating to have paid so much and now having so many problems with them. This is so disgusting, I don't know why anyone would pay for this if this is the correct way to have them done.
