My LG smart TV wouldn't turn on & I'm glad I called ProTV. First, it was very quick & easy to schedule - the person on the phone was very polite & professional. The very next day the technician (Hilario) arrived promptly & had a diagnosis within minutes. Unfortunately the old TV was unable to be repaired but Hilario took my old TV to be recycled & had recommendations for a replacement. Hilario was informative & an all-around good guy; At one point I asked the price of the new TV & he corrected me with a LOWER price. The average aggressive salesman would have said "yes, it's X dollars" but Hilario was honest & I really appreciate that. Then, he left to recycle the old TV & fetch the replacement. He was so fast, I had a new working TV by that afternoon. The combined cost of everything (house call, diagnostic test, delivering & installing the new TV) was basically the same price I paid for my old TV when it was brand new. Thank you, Hilario! Horrible customer service. Firstly I was greeted rudely on the phone, second when I asked if they were able to do a quick diagnosis on a device for a warranty claim I found out that they charge $120 as opposed to $50 for a regular diagnoses. A simple letter of non repair for a difference of $70. That's ridiculous. Not to mention the person on the phone giving me a lecture about how they have to pay rent and things don't come free in life. read more

I don't usually follow up years later but I thought I'd give a shout out to these guys. One day three ish years ago our TV's screen shut off and my boyfriend wanted to just trash it and buy a new one. I don't like the idea of a potentially good TV being thrown away and spending hundreds for a new TV so we brought it here. Within maybe two days we got the TV back completely working for a reasonable price (can't remember exactly how much). Now we STILL have the TV and it's working perfectly, so glad we went here!!! Saved us money and was more eco conscious to not buy a new one. read more

Beware of hidden charges, not very happy when they called me and told me that the tv was ready to pick it up and gave me a really outrageous total amount to pay without asking me first and NO WARRANTY!!!! I didn't have any interest of make a complaint but I wanted to know why they made the repairs without asking me if I'm ok to pay for all the repairs, I will never pay to get a tv repair when I can be better off buying a new one! read more

I brought in my five year old 55" Samsung6950 4K UHD Smart TV because the main board died. I was told they had the part and could fix it for a total of $185. When I finally got the tv home it would no longer connect to my internet. I was told by Pro TV that I would have to contact Samsung to fix this problem. I did and we figured out that the TV had been repaired with a part from an older model (6900) which would not connect to my internet. When I told ProTV this he offered to try to repair it again, he tried, same problem, same old part. He then said it was probably my internet provider's fault and I should contact them. Nope, I have another Samsung and it works fine...it was the old part he used. ProTV offered to get the correct part but it would cost me close to $300. If he had told me this at the beginning I wouldn't have bothered trying to get it repaired, but now he has my $185. ProTV offered to refund me $80 and remove the part but I declined. ProTV said it wasn't their fault that my TV wouldn't connect to my internet, they had fixed the "No Power" problem and that was that. Not really standing by your work. I cannot recommend this place. read more

We took our 55" LG LCD TV to them after the screen failed to come on. Both of the employees that we dealt with were friendly and welcoming. They got the TV repaired for a very reasonable cost and even gave it a good cleaning before we picked it up. They estimated a 2 day turn around but it was ready the next day. Didn't know what to do when my TV screen suddenly went dark. I have a wall mounted 55" tv and Pro Tv made a house call. Tried to fix on the spot but couldn't so they took into shop. Called me a couple days later to let me know it was repaired. They brought it home and mounted on the wall for me. TV works great, staff was very nice and easy to work with. There was a loud 'POP' in my receiver during a power outage. When the lights came back on, all my electronics had suffered--even the television. I took it to Pro TV and they did me right. I received a call back the very next day. Unfortunately, my TV was toast but they had a few used models on hand and gave me a fair price. My wife felt it was a great customer service experience when she called. When I brought my TV in, I was clearly told the diagnostic price and that it would be rolled into the cost of repair if they did a repair. He also said he would call the same day with an estimate. I dropped my TV off at 12:45pm. I just got off the phone with him at 2:30pm. Sadly, the parts cost more than replacing the TV. But he stated that clearly as well and said it was too expensive to repair. They will take care of recycling the TV. I will take and recommend any future business to Pro TV and Video Service. I came to this store just to purchase the replacement part I needed, however the guy refused to sell it to me the led strips. I ended up just have him fix it. He said he would fix it same day for 175. He calls me the next day and says it's ready. I took it home and 30 days later the same thing happens again. He ensured me it wouldnt. I went back in and told him the issue and he said I'd have to pay for the repair again. After 15 mins of going back and forth, he said if I brought in the receipt in within 90 days he would fix it. I just moved so I couldn't find it, but I had the identification tag for the service. I brought that in and told him he should be able to check his records with that. He got defensive and said he has records but it won't work because he doesn't have the original receipt, just the copy, and the "copy won't work because the transfer is clear enough to take a picture of and send to the company". First off, the customer gets the customer copy not the original so he messed up there. Second it was well within the 90 day mark and we both knew it. I had proof and he still refused it. This is the most irritating store and man I have ever encountered. I left quite angry that day. Now I'm stuck with a tv that doesnt work and I'm out $200(I added on a stand for the tv). I think he pieced together parts from other tvs to "fix" mine, that's why he refused to sell me the parts to begin with. DO NOT GO HERE! You will be disappointed. read more

I had excellent service. I am disabled and I normally would have to make arrangement to have someone take my tv in and bring it back. Pro Tv gave me a quote to replace a main board on my Toshiba tv and did not charge me to come pick it and return it when the work was done. They ordered the board picked the tv up the day before the board arrived did the work and returned the tv that afternoon. Tv was gone 24 hours. If you need service on your tv please give Pro TV a call. I have to comment on the man that complained the bulb in his projector. Come on the bulbs are one of the weakest links in a projector. Even if they replaced it for free but the time you got home it might possibly be broken. The bulb is yours to fix and to maintain. read more

Family-owned. Vast Product Knowledge. Reasonable & Fair. I took my plasma TV in as it would turn on but not produce a picture. Since plasma TVs are not made anymore I was hopeful it could be repaired. Without even unloading this very heavy TV I was told -- the motherboard burned out on this model and new ones are not available. I asked if they had any plasmas for sale. For $450 I was able to buy a better, bigger plasma. When I asked what had been repaired on it, I was told the power source had gone out and had been repaired. ($450 is what I paid years ago with another repair shop to have my first-generation plasma TV repaired -- bad soldering on the boards -- and it still works to this day.) Essentially, I walked away with a new, better plasma for the same cost. Pro TV offers a 90-day guarantee. They do sell refurbished TVs, plasma among them, for awesome prices. My experience with Pro TV is not even with an actual repair. I was working on a science fair project with my son and needed a single electrical component to finish up. With the disappearance of the Radio Shack stores I didn't know where to call. After a few tries I figured an electronics repair shop may have what I need. The kind person who answered the phone took the time to look through some components on hand and came up with what I needed. She set the item out for me and wouldn't accept payment. A kind gesture like this goes a long way toward letting me know what kind of people they are. If I ever am in need of electronics repair I know where I will turn. read more

My 55" Samsung led flatscreen TV stopped working so I took it in to Pro TV Repair. The charged me $35 to tell me that the power supply had burned out. They had the spare part in stock and the next day my TV was ready exactly when they said it would be. Total charge was $275 less the diagnostic fee which they credited. I was incredibly disappointed by my experience with Pro TV. I brought them an Acer Projector that only needed a chip replaced, but was otherwise working perfectly. 2 weeks and $295 later I got a call that it was finished, so I said I would be there the next day. When I arrived the next day, the projector was still in pieces. The guy told me that he replaced the chip, but that the lamp would not turn on. The lamp worked fine when I brought it in. He wanted to charge me another $175 or more for a new lamp and labor. I tried explaining that it worked when I came in, so it should work now, or he should fix it for FREE, BECAUSE HE BROKE IT! He refused/did not understand, so I took it home, broken (after I had to ask for the case and power cord I brought it in with). When I tried turning it on at home it only makes a strange clicking noise and turns back off. I'm now left to spend more money to hopefully get it actually fixed somewhere else. How they can run a business like this is beyond me, as someone that works in customer service I couldn't believe how poor the experience and the quality of the work was. PLEASE save yourself the $ and headache and go anywhere else. read more
