You lost a star from me. Needed more plumbing work done on my home due to the discovery of some cheap jerry rigged piping done by the previous owners. Having used Prodigy before and being impressed with their work, I didn't hesitate to hit them up first. That said, we needed to replace some old galvanized pipes to copper. The original inspection and estimate were done cordially and professionally. The work done was great and solid. Again, they were respectful of the house, to me, my wife, and my kid. Putting down tarps and wearing booties to protect my flooring and such. The only reason they lose a start this time around was due to horrendous communication. After the estimate was signed, I was cancelled on twice and had a no show on one day. And one cancellation and the no show happened when there was unfinished work from the previous day. It was only after my constant calling and prodding -- being told I would receive a callback only for it to never come -- that at the end of the day, a field manager finally got back to me and personally gave me an ETA of when the work would be completed. This is to update everyone including Prodigy. I received a text message yesterday that a technician will come today Monday and I need to click "C" to confirm. So I confirmed. This morning all I have been getting is AI assistance. Around 11:30 AM a manager Rick spoke with me. He says the delay is due to the part back ordered (I have been told this several times). Anyway he and everyone are pleasant. I asked why not just order from Amazon, or change the brand instead of waiting for that one part that's taking soooo long since LAST YEAR!!!!! Manager says he found a product and the supplier sent a runner to pick it up from another branch. I committed to over $13,000 plumbing project with Prodigy Plumbing.... My ordeal/frustration is still ongoing. I lost today's pay. DO NOT USE PRODIGY PLUMBING. They are nice, but that's all. It does not say much about outcome driven business. Yet another 5 's for Prodigy! This time for Russell and Donny who came out yesterday for a mystery leak [I really should have bought shares in Prodigy, the times I have called them out - But I continue to call, because they never dissapoint). Tuesday afternoon I opened the garage to see a flood of water on the floor dripping from a ceiling light fitting. I was at a loss as to what was going on, and was going out of town early the next morning, so I call Prodigy and even tho it was almost 5:30 the dispatcher prioritized me for first thing in the morning. Russell called me as requested, and gave a very accurate arrival time. As my girlfriend at home didnt really understand the problem, I had a detailed discussion with Russell explaing the situation and what I assume was a burst pipe in the ceiling/ floor space above the garage. An couple of hours later I got a text asking me to call. When I spoke to Russell he gave me very good news, after investigation he and Donny determined there was no burst pipe but they somehow traced the water to my fridge which was leaking on the upper floor many feet away from the garage. Russell and Donny pulled the fridge out, isolated the water line valve and checked the water had stopped. My gf also asked about an unsanitary smell from the lower floor, turns out unrelated, but again Russell determined the bath drain had probably dried up for lack of use and odor from the drains able to bypass the P trap - simply running the tap for 10 seconds solved that. I cannot express my gratitude for these guys, and Prodigy, not only didnt they take advantage of me not being there, they went above and beyond to help us out in a bind. I felt completely safe using Prodigy when I wasn't there anyway, with my prior experience, but these two were the best - professional, honest and very helpful. First and foremost I want to shout out Ken and Eric for doing a phenomenal job. Eric did the p-trap repair and Ken took care of the drywall, tile, and shower. They were both professional and worked very quickly. I was impressed with how fast they sent sales people out after my initial call and how quick there was someone working on it. I think the only downside was the sales guys stopped replying to my texts after I signed the contract. I had to try to get ahold of the front office via phone instead of a text back. I'm very impressed with the level of workmanship and professionalism of this company. We're selling our home and according to the inspection we had to repair a couple of items by a plumber. One item was a slightly loose toilet that did need to be tightened up and have the wax ring replaced. We have a modern "skirted" toilet with smooth sides. We called two plumbers for quotes. The first one had never worked on this type of toilet and was not sure how he would do it, but gave us a quote. Second plumber was "Prodigy" that quoted us a little under the first one, but was experienced in this type of toilet. Steven Garcia was amazing. Not only did he very expertly remove the toilet and the old wax ring but also installed the new one and promptly bolted what I've read is a difficult toilet to install. Like I said, the first plumber didn't even know how he was going to do it. We had also called them to quote us on a second item that when they inspected it, it turned out we did not need. Did I ever think that I'd have such an amazing experience with a plumber that I'd be leaving a long five-star review? No. Do Prodigy Plumber deserve it? Absolutely. I bought a condo a few months back that has now been dubbed the "condo where nothing goes right." Two weeks ago, another notch in the long list of problems was added. The shower started backing up. A plumber was called (not Prodigy) who tried to get it unclogged, informed us the previous owners poured concrete down our drain when they remodeled the bathroom (right before selling it), and that our option was to rip up the shower. OH MY GOSH! We called another plumber, again, not Prodigy, and they said the same thing. I came on Yelp and looked for the most professional looking plumbers with pictures of the biggest tools out there and found Prodigy. They were my last hope. They came out the next day. They tried so many things that the other two plumbers didn't. They tried unclogging the material from the vents on the roof (no other plumbers got on the roof). They tried these "chain drill" unclogger things. They tried a lot of different things (and we didn't have to wait for them to come back each day - they either had these tools on the truck or they were able to call for them right away). They told us about the pricing and I appreciated that they structured it so that if option 1 didn't work, that bid was cancelled and not "added" to option 2, etc. Unfortunately, none of their smaller efforts worked (not their fault) and we were left with the "big guns" option. However, Juan, Jerry, and Sal (yes, we had a whole team!) were amazing and came up with an option to go through the floor in the guest bedroom (next to the bathroom) to get to the plumbing rather than ripping up the whole shower. (see the picture - I don't know how they worked like that!) It wasn't cheap but it was cheaper than ripping up the shower. They came back the next day to get started and half way through the day, they discovered the problem was actually inside a pipe that was encased in this concrete footer of the building (insert many expletives here). At first, we all thought we were going to have to get the HOA involved, rip up half the condo, etc. BUT Juan, Jerry, and Sal were miracle workers once again and came up with a plan to re-route the shower pipes so we could avoid an even bigger project than we already had. In the end, yes, it was expensive but these guys saved me a bundle by being creative and thinking outside the box. They were honest, understanding, and went above and beyond (truly). In the end, I have a very small patch of flooring that needs to be replaced and a working shower. Oh - and they cleaned up every day and in the end, left it looking like they had never been there. After all the dirt they had dug up - it's a miracle there wasn't any trace left behind. This was a long story just to tell you how much I LOVE these guys. They saved me. I will never hesitate to call them again. They've got the know how and modern equipment needed for your tough plumbing problems and they are such creative thinkers. I appreciate Juan, Jerry, and Sal and everything they did for us. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. When this was all done, my Husband and I said that we're so glad that we now have "our" plumbers. We know who to call. It's a relief. read more

Jose Diaz was very professional and very knowledgeable. I called for their free water heater flushing and overall inspection. My water heater is over 20+ years old and since the flush valve was plastic, he recommended not flushing it. It might create more issue which may cost me more money to fix. If its working great, don't touch it and just start thinking about budging for new one for the future was his suggestion which I took. A minor earthquake triggered my gas line shut off valve. After I reset it, I couldn't relight my pilot. I called Prodigy and Ceasar responded super quick. In 40 minutes he was here and reset the pilot. He also taught me what I was doing wrong (you have to hold down the pilot knob for 15-30 seconds before you start clicking the trigger). He was patient (as I had a short fuse at the time) and not patronizing. And he didn't charge me (maybe because I was a returning customer). read more
