I've been meaning to write this review for quite a while. I had my brakes done a few months ago. Craig was fantastic. Mostly for dealing with me. I've dealt with a lot of shady mechanics to the point where I question everything and have a hard time trusting them I hade my front brakes done and a few days later I was driving to work and my whole front started to shake and my steering wheel was going crazy. I called Craig immediately and he had me come in the next day. He fixed it so fast I thought there was no way so I questioned it. And he was very cool about it and just said I'm a professional. And he's right he is he's very professional. Apparently the rotor was just a bad rotor from the factory. he swapped that out and I've had no issues with my brakes. I was on a month-long road trip through California. Plenty of hills, plenty of highways, lots of breaking.. and no issues. I highly highly recommend professional break service and Craig. Price was grea for, brand new rotors brake pads and a brake fluid flush.. and the work was exceptional. He's the only person I've let work on my car besides the dealer and I'd actually rather go to Craig than back to the dealer.. read more

I initially went to Professional Brake Service to get a free brake inspection on my Camaro before driving way to the opposite side of Vegas by the Motor Speedway to my normal trusted mechanic to make sure it was as bad as I thought it was. Craig the manager was awesome, he didn't try to BS me as a lot of mechanics will try to do when a female walks through the door. He was very welcoming, not pushy at all, straight to the point! He also has a very down to earth personality. He said the timeframe would be a couple of hours. It sure didn't seem that way because Craig kept me entertained by conversation all at the same time taking care of his own responsibilities work related. The price to replace my rotors & pads were very reasonable. I immediately authorized the work. I know the basics about my car and when I take it in I'm almost always on point. I don't trust mechanics these days so I'm very loyal when I find good service and I'm also a good word of mouth. I would highly recommend Professional Brake Service based on the awesome service that I received. They have earned my business! Honest work, reliable, professional service, and you're helping out a small business! I highly recommend this shop! I brought in my vehicle (Lexus LS 460) with no appointment, and was immediately helped out by Matt and Craig. To start, the conversation was smooth and very helpful! I came in with rotor/ brakes issues that cause my car to shake when hitting the breaks, but I did not know the extent of the damage to the rotors (warped/cracked/scratched). I also had new break pads with me which helped reduce the price for me. I was helped almost right away, and they inspected all 4 of my wheels (originally came in for the front set). Once they gave the okay for resurfacing, they got to work and provided professional service all around(see photos for resurface job), including checking the tire pressure and sensors. Their customer service was also beyond what I expected. I had made a comment to Matt about my vehicle having electrical issues, and he went out of his way to speak with their neighbor auto repair business to inform them about my vehicle and set up the connection. Called a couple of brake places regarding my emergency brakes. I have to press them down all the way for them to work. These places quotes me for $400-600 to adjust them or replace the shoes. I said wow all that needs to be done on my odyssey is pop off the rubber plug and use a flathead screw driver to adjust them. It shouldn't cost $400 but I understand if replacing the shoes it would cost a little more. Based on the reviews of Professional Brake Service, I noticed the reoccuring theme: honest. Craig took care of me and said if its an easy adjustment like I mentioned above, it would be $80-$110. I took it in and he called me back later and said exactly what had happened most likely why it was misadjusted and he made the simple adjustments and itll only cost $50. It was nice to have someone offer to take the time to actually put a real quote together instead of just rattling off a number and moving on to another call. I also asked if I could supply my own parts and they offered to install the brakes, but they of course cannot warranty those customer supplied parts. When I arrived, Craig greeted me, took down my info and they went off to work. They had my car done well before I was expecting or even ready to come get it. Upon picking up the car, I got to chat more with Craig about my car and how bad the brakes truly were when I dropped it off. Gotta start this review off by telling everyone I legit know nothing about cars. My breaks were starting to squeak and my husband kept saying, you really gotta take that in. I told him what was going on with my car and he informed me they would take a look, which would take about 20 minutes, then depending on what is wrong, it could be anywhere around a couple hours. My dad walked up right as he was going to grab my car and met me inside. Craig was so personable and friendly. After he took a look at my car, he came in to chat with me and my dad. My dad is extremeeeely knowledgeable in cars (this is why I bring him places LOL) and they talked shop for a bit, while I sat there super confused haha. When I got there, it was hard to park with delivery trucks blocking spots, so I parked 3 rows away. Very small parking lot. The guy at the front counter was super nice and took my keys right away. Only 2 guys are working, but still very quick service. He came back to tell me he couldn't find my wheel lock key. I was devastated. I lived 40 minutes away from this place. I hope I didn't come down here for nothing and had to reschedule.. I called my husband to see if he had it. He did. He drove down and gave the key to the guy at the counter, and all was well. I like to avoid my problems but sometimes you gotta face the music and be an adult. I called to schedule a brake inspection and talked to Matt, super nice and got it done real quick. Craig, everyone that sings his praises isn't lying, is a super nice guy. And Matt worked in my car so didn't get a chance to interact with him but A+ for the work he did. In under 30 minutes, Craig let me know the work I needed to get done and the cost. He said it would take about 2 hours, rear brakes and an oil change, it took maybe 90 minutes. Super efficient, thanks again Matt. And I can obviously feel the difference when I drive. They're nice, patient, and talk to you in a way that makes you understand what's going on. My dad usually took care of my car for me. However he's getting older, and it was time for me to find someone else to trust with my car. I was greeted by Craig when I walked in. I explained my issue and went to a nearby coffee shop to get some work done. He called me with his diagnosis and mentioned my front brakes were still good, but my rear brakes needed to be fixed. GLOWING REVIEW So I'll just leave this here in case there's anyone out there who needs their brakes checked and does NOT want to be ripped off... Just had an amazing consumer/customer service experience with a dying breed: HONEST MECHANICS. I'm a mom, I take car safety VERY seriously. I have to - I travel with extremely "precious cargo!" :-) So when my brakes started squeaking I obviously wanted to get this repaired right away. Every mechanic I called told me, "You need to come in RIGHT NOW. You're definitely going to need new rotors on your car... and if we change the front rotors you're gonna want to change the back rotors, too. This is dangerous, you need to come in IMMEDIATELY for new rotors." Something in my gut told me they were trying to rip me off but in my mind I'm mentally preparing myself to spend about a grand. Then my friend HIGHLY recommended Professional Brake Service (Craig is the owner). He said that ever since he found him he will not bring his car to anyone else (for brake repair). He said he's super honest and does great work. Friend: "Check out his Google reviews." I did. They were amazing. Booked an appointment for today... not only was he done with the entire repair in about 3 hours, he told me that I actually did NOT need new rotors. That he could just resurface the rotors for me, and save myself some $$. He also told me that my back brake pads didn't even need to be replaced, just the front ones! I HATE going to repair my car. It's about as fun as a root canal, and they never provide any snacks. After a long drive from LA, my brake lights had been chiming non-stop like a gerbil in heat. However...... only one out-shined (out-shone?) the others with a 5-star rating: Professional Brake Service on Silverado Ranch Blvd. I spoke to Craig about my predicament, and informed him of my very modest budget (hey, the pandemic sucked my wallet dry!). He ended up replacing my brake pads and rotors, and for a very reasonable price. I've never left a car-service establishment in a good mood (ok... there was this one other time at BMW in Beverly Hills, but that's only because my service girl was gorgeous and I was crushing on her). I was supposed to come the day after our call but couldn't make it in until the next day, to my surprise he remembered me! I left my car there and within 30 mins he was able to move me around and check it the issues quicker, that's top notch service! He let me know what was going on with my breaks, gave me his honest opinions and didn't try to upsell me which already sold me enough. The price was within my range and it was money well spent.
