I can't remember if i dropped my glasses off on January 14th or 21st, but I still don't have my glasses on March 16th. I caused some of the delay because of my travel schedule, but I was very specific on when i would need my glasses at the time I dropped my glasses off. The associate assured me my glasses would be ready by January 25th. After no communication, I came to pickup my glasses and to my surprise they weren't ready. I immediately asked for a refund and the associate asked me to wait so she could help a new paying customer and told me I'd have to wait. After already waiting my turn. A manager came out and offered to provide me temporary prescription lenses in the short term and a partial refund, which I reluctantly accepted because i needed my glasses. They offered to drop them off, which they did. When I came back I get the run around. No glasses and attitude. read more

I got LASIK surgery here and I'm so glad I did! Andrea is the best. She greets you at the door with a smile (by name - and my name isn't easy to remember), answers the phone, sets up your appointments and walks you through the pre-op. She's seriously the sweetest. If they put her in every doctor's office and DMV the world would be a better place. The surgery went by so fast. They gave me a stuffed dog to hold and Dr. Pat talked me through every step and it really helped to make me less nervous. Someone even held my hand and that helped a lot, too. At my follow up appointment they checked my eyes and told me I was healing quicker than average and my eyes were now 20/20 but they would continue to get clearer and sharper. As I was leaving, Andrea gave me a mason jar full of homemade cupcakes and a Starbucks gift card for depriving me of caffeine (you can't have caffeine the day of the surgery). Just on word.....FANTASTIC! In order for me to write a Yelp review the business needs to knock it out of the park. Well,...Dr. Pat and staff knocked it out of the park, bases loaded. If I could give 10 stars I would. It all started with needing a CDL license within a day to get a killer job. Unfortunately I did not pass the DMV vision test and needed glasses like yesterday otherwise I might not get the job. Dr. Pat took me in within 15 minutes of calling! That's right! I had just enough time to drive straight there! That alone is amazing but being amazing is par for the course with this group. When I arrived I had to pinch myself because I thought I made a wrong turn and was in Beverly Hills! Lol! The office is gorgeous, like Architectural Digest gorgeous, with everyone that works there very attractive. I was seated in the waiting area for like 5 minutes max! Went through a multitude of tests and then met Dr. Pat. You couldn't ask for someone easier to get along with. He went above and beyond caring and being nice. I give his bedside manner a 12 on a 1-10 scale. Once he figured out what I needed to correct my vision and knowing I was in a hurry, he went looking to see if it was possible to make my glasses while-I-wait. What doctor does that??? Granted it was past 5pm on President's day so optical technician had already left for the day. Trying to make a long story shorter, I had my new glasses in hand by 10am the next morning and they were less expensive than I ever imagined! They totally hooked me up! Fantastic LASIK experience! Christina and Doctor Pat were informative and wonderful each appointment leading up to the surgery date. Once I was there for my surgery everyone worked seamlessly together to have me in & out in about an hour. The actual surgery was so simple. Doctor Pat talks you through each step as the other doctor performs the surgery. Doctor Pat & Christina emphasized the importance of sleeping after the surgery. I took a Tylenol PM on the way home & slept for almost 8hrs. I was up for 2.5hrs & went back to sleep for 9hrs. The next day at my follow up I was already seeing 20/20 out of my right eye. Its been 13 days & it's absolutely amazing how perfect my vision is. Going from -7.5 in both eyes to 20/20 still blows my mind. Worth every penny & I highly recommend these folks! read more

Decided to give this office a try because of the amount Yelp reviews. I called this past Wed evening.11-16-16 I hate posting bad reviews but I hope this will help with training their staff. I called the other night to ask if their dr was accepting new patients... it was close to 5 pm and the receptionist answered the phone and told me they werent seeing any more patients for the night. I asked again because she clearly thought I had asked if I can come in that night. "I was wondering if your office was accepting new patients?" SHE REPLIED BY SAYING THEY WERENT SEEING ANY MORE PATIENTS THAT NIGHT. I said..."so, the dr. office isnt taking any new patients? I just changed my medical provider and I am now looking for a new eye doctor." Receptionist replied and said they were taking new patients. She didnt even apologize for misunderstanding. She asked if I knew who my insurance provider was and I told her I didnt have that information on me and she placed me on hold for a couple of minutes. I listened to the advertising that was playing while on hold, regarding which insurance provider they accepted...VSP and all other vision providers. She picked up and I asked if there were any appts open for next day and she checked and said they had an 11am and I said great! can you schedule me for that time? She asked me again for my insurance and I told her I didnt know which provider..maybe VSP...but I know for sure that I have a vision provider and I asked if I could bring it in when I come to the appt. She said that she needed to know my insurance provider before making the appointment. I said its probably VSP and she asked me for the ID #. I was fed up at that point with the service she provided to me over the phone and I told her. "You know...the service that you've given me over the phone makes me not want to even go to that Dr office. I want you and the Drs to know that." The experience over the phone was not the greatest. I didn't know it could be so hard to make an appointment. I called another office down the street and the receptionist had no problem scheduling an appointment for me without the insurance information...she said I could bring it in when I come in for the appointment. I was off the phone in one minute...she took my name and number down and gave me my appt time and was very pleasant over the phone. Service over the phone is always a good indicator of how service will be in person. BTW, I called my provider the next day who is VSP and I was told they should be able to look ID# up by SSN. read more

I wanted to give a shout out and huge THANK YOU to Dr. Pat Utnehmer, Dr. Jon Siems, and Andrea the surgery coordinator at Promenade Optometry in Temecula for their outstanding care and service. I had LASIK eye surgery February 2016 and cannot believe how incredibly simple the entire procedure was. I've worn glasses and contacts since I was a little kid and it blows my mind that I went from 20/300 vision and I now have 20/15 (OVER perfect) vision. I swore to my husband I would NEVER have the nerve to get LASIK, but I finally worked up enough guts to go to a consultation and Dr Pat and Andrea spent over an hour testing my eyes and answering every single question- I never felt rushed. Again at my pre-op they both went over every step, retested my eyes, walked me through the procedure, and discussed the post-op care. I went in on a Monday morning for surgery and the entire process took probably less that 10 minutes. My husband took me home and I slept for the rest of the day. When I woke up for dinner I could read all of the fine print on the TV- it seemed even clearer than when I was wearing glasses. I drove myself to my post-op appointment the next morning after I took my kids to school and Dr Pat confirmed I was seeing 20/15 and my vision would continue to get crisper as my eyes continued to heal. I can't thank the team at Promenade Optometry enough. I watched every LASIK procedure video I could find in the few weeks leading up to my surgery and was totally psyching myself out, but it was one of the easiest things I have ever done. I had been considering LASIK for years and I finally felt confident in the technology so I decided to schedule a couple of consults. Having worn glasses since the age of 9 and contacts since the age of 11, my vision finally plateaued in my mid-twenties at a -4.75. Now I am in my mid-thirties and I take my eyeballs pretty seriously, so I met with two local places, both of which were very reputable. One of those places was Promenade Optometry, the other place will remain nameless. Although I am sure that I would have had a great result with either place, It was an easy choice for me and here's why: At Promenade Optometry, I was greeted warmly from my first appointment and treated like a truly valued patient, even before I decided to schedule my procedure. The office was also very comfortable and welcoming, not at all like a typical doctor's office. I was seen right away. At the other place, I checked in with a receptionist behind a glass-covered window and was seated in a window-less room and kept waiting for 15 minutes past my appointment time. At Promenade Optometry, I had a thorough eye exam, a tour of the office and then Dr. Utnehmer personally sat with me and chatted about the LASIK procedure and answered all of my questions. I felt as if I were his only patient. At the other place, I also had a thorough eye exam, but the only Doctor I saw was on a computer screen when the Lasik coordinator had me watch a video about the Lasik procedure that the Doctor was narrating and "starring" in. Don't get me wrong, the Lasik Coordinator at the other place was very nice and very informative, and I'm sure I would have had a great result there as well, but there was no question in my mind at who I wanted to have fix my eyes. I scheduled the surgery with Promenade Optometry and had a wonderful experience and result. I was 20/20 the day after surgery. LASIK is such an easy, painless procedure that it is almost a disservice to call it "surgery"! I would do it again in a New York minute! I can't say enough great things about Dr. Utnehmer, Dr. Siems, Mike, and the rest of the staff at Promenade Optometry. Anyone considering LASIK should not put it off another day. I had my lasik done at Promenade Lasik a few months ago. I liked that they owned their own laser and I didn't have to go to some other facility to have the surgery like most other places. The pre-ops were a breeze and the actual laser surgery was a piece of cake! In fact, it was way easier than anyone had told me, I was actually getting nervous the day before.
