    Beet Muhammara

My friends and I were excited to try this new spot, made reservations for Friday night and luckily we did because it was packed, even the outdoor seating on a hot night. The service was fantastic, our waitress was great always noticing when a water or drink glass was empty. The food was delcious, my specific favorites were the whipped goat cheese with tomato tapenade, fritto misto, and beet muhammara! So good and great portions for appetizers. The one negative comment I'd have was oddly the evening news was playing on the tv, messed with the vibe a bit. But the music was great! I didn't taste any of the cocktails, but my friends enjoyed them and each came with a fun little toy animal that was cute. I hope this place becomes a long time staple and look forward to coming back!

We checked out Proof Public House before a show at Jacob's Pavilion. Everything about our experience was excellent! We asked for an old fashioned, which isn't on the menu, but they were happy to make. We had the banh mi sandwich special with the honey lime coleslaw as a side and the buffalo parm wings with a side salad. Portions were huge, and we easily could've split anything and everything, including the sides! From the staff to the drinks and food and music playing, we enjoyed it all and will definitely go back.

Sat at the bar on opening night and had a great time with the staff. The bartenders were knowledgeable about all things menu related and cocktails related. The flavors that Matt Fish's new menu incorporated not only go well together but bring something fresh to CLE. He knocked it out of the park. Safe to say I will be back because I must try the Ramen Risotto. Side note. The fresh cut fries are actually fresh cut fries I think. Oh and the decor is fun and very CLE.

A great mix of the old with the new food/decorations . As you all remember the iconic Melt Bar & Grilled . Matt Fish's new spot is right on the Lorain Ave . For old times I ordered the classic Parmageddon sandwich and quite honestly it was even better than I remembered it . The lemongrass wings were fantastic annnnnd the chocolate chip cookies hit the spot . Highly recommend his new restaurant. Will be back soon to try out new dishes with the welcoming / knowledgeable staff . This newly renovated restaurant also has an outdoor patio . Excited for Fish's new chapter with Proof Public House . Just like I was a regular at Melt , I can confidently say I'll be a regular here as well .

Shaved ribeye for $22...it was all mushrooms and peppers onions and cheese. Very disappointed.

Staffing levels were good - I suspect they are busiest at dinner time - and Matt Fish was there and visible.

I visited two times within the same week and loved how each event really personalized the space and made it their own. This is perfect for corporate or creative events. The views are immaculate - the Westside Market and W 25th. The rooftop has a bar area, tables, and benches. There are various tropical vibes - aquamarine hues, white vacay looking furniture, tropical plants, and gorgeous blue canopy/overhang. The decor has gorgeous juxtaposition with brick walls of the building. It's just gorgeous. You have to visit and take a million pictures. I felt like I was on the mini vacation. While this destination is on the rooftop, it also offers considerable amount of privacy. For instance, while walking up to the building, I wasn't able to see or hear the event I was attending. It's a big plus to have this privacy yet view the surrounding landmarks. As far as getting up there, find the door directly across from the entrance. Go up a few flights of stairs and arrive at the Canopy. The rooftop bar and event venue is only available for private events. I visited this location for a yoga class with Bottoms Up Yoga & Brew. There will be another class here in July (find it on Eventbrite). I really enjoyed the yoga class here. It accommodated our small group very well and we went for brews downstairs to the Market Garden Brewery right after. All of us were very impressed with this rooftop. I hope to be back soon for more events! Check out their contact info on the Market Garden Brewery website!

Erin was our server and she was amazing, from beginning to end! We would come back just for her, but I know she works limited hours because she's busy being an epic artist! She let my dad tell her dad jokes and when he wanted to meet Leo (because he looks like Fish from Shoresy and my mom thought he was hot) they obliged which was truly going above and beyond (even if it made me and my sister a little awkward). The boudin balls were great! Very similar to New Orlean's verisons so that was great! We also tried the hot rocks which were also great! Our table tried both gumbos, the jambalaya and the crab cakes. All of which were delicious and the closest you'll find to NOLA style around here! For dessert my mom scored the last creme brulee which made her day and the rest of us had beignets. Their beignets are definitely not Cafe Beignet or Loretta's level, but they are still absolutely delicious as their own dessert, like a mix between a funnel cake and a beignet! Drinks were also amazing! It's one of like 3 places you can get a Pimms cup in Cleveland! They had a lot of other cool options and Sunday looks like it's usually an all day happy hour so we have to go back! And finally, I just have to note how beautiful the place is. Decor everywhere you look, my little sister couldn't stop taking pictures! It was such a lovely experience! I can't say enough great things!

The decor looks like a New Orleans restaurant and there is even a second level for seating. The food is delicious. They have great Happy Hour Specials with portions and prices small enough to sample food items. They also have a pick 3 on the menu that lets you pick different menu items. Our favorites are of course the Chicken Gumbo and Jambalaya but tried to duck wings that were crispy and perfectly cooked. We also tried to fried okra that was awesome. The craft beer and cocktail menu is extensive and we upgraded to the large hurricane, which was fruity and refreshing. Service was Excellent. Highly recommend!

CLE's best kept secret!…read more A few of my friends raved about Smoke & Mirrors, so I finally checked it out. I stopped in during Stargazers Ball hosted by YoreCraeft Productions. It was a fun cosmic costume party at Smoke & Mirrors. Smoke & Mirrors delivers on their promise, there are mirror accents and intermittent smoke. They also have a lot of silver accents that have a cool juxtaposition with the cave look. You can find this nightclub underground at Clandestina on West 25th. Enter the club by going through mezcalería (Clandestina) and going downstairs. The club calls themselves "subterranean catacomb club." I'd describe it as a nightclub giving off speakeasy vibes with some exposed brick, cave vibes, and sultry red illumination. It's a very mysterious dungeon looking club. It's raw and unusual for the local nightclub scene in the very best of ways. The coolest space in this club is the once upon a time coal room that serves as a little private nook to sip your cocktails. The rest of the club has one dance floor, some comfy seats against the wall, and a small bar. It's very intimate. The club is mostly known for its EDM DJs. Don't expect big names but expect good music. You can find their lineup on their IG @smokeandmirrorscle. They're open on Thursdays for karaoke, and Saturdays for DJ and dancing. The party that I attended had a lot of dancing and good vibes. The club seems to have a cover charge, but the amount is not shared on their socials. The menu consists of cocktails, craft beer, and wine, which is a generous selection for a night club. There were some themed cocktails during my visit ranging from $8-$14. I certainly plan to stop by during a regular weekend night to check out the full experience and DJ's. You should too. If you drop in, stop Clandestina bathroom for a selfie with flattering light. Can't wait for my next visit!
