This is so strange. We have a lot of rental properties and got our dryer repaired last year by Sam. We paid the bills and repeatedly asked for the invoices to be sent to our company email for tax purposes. Repeatedly sending correct email to him... no invoices. Finally I asked Sam to just take a picture oglf those invoices and text them to us, which he did. However, there is no description of services whatsoever, so we can not even see what was done to the dryer. During the year we called Sam many times to check on the dryer as it stopped working. No answer. We called another comoany we have onthe dial to make repairs, but we cant even tell the technician what was done to the dryer. For IRS these invoices are illegitimate since no services were desctibed. Bad business practice to just disappear. Disappointing. read more

Worst company ever. Was referred through my Home Warranty company. Showed up 1 time to assess what was needed. Said they would order the part ( Ice Maker issue). Told the warranty company that they came out 3 days later, but they never arrived at my home. Warranty company couldnt get them to respond. I called several times with no response. We initially used this company as part of our home warranty. I have since used them outside the warranty since it ended. We had a few different companies come to fix appliances, and this one was by far the best. They have fixed our dishwasher, microwave, and fridge, and each time were polite, timely, and did high-quality work. Will continue to use them in the future. read more

I will not let the repairman from this company in my house again. My home warranty company sends out repairmen - this one company they use. Pro Tech repairmen are poorly trained and have difficulty making an assessment of needed appliance repairs. Their repairmen are rude and arrogant toward women. The come in and ask what's wrong with the appliance then start to argue about all the reasons that can't be possible. When I told the repairman that both my stove top gas and oven pilot light turn themselves off and gas starts to leak. The pro Tech repairman told me the Air conditioner vent blew it out and caused it!! I have no technical knowledge of gas but I absolutely know that the oven pilot light cannot be turned off by an A/C vent blowing from across the room! In other words, he had no experience with gas ovens or stoves. I told him it was impossible for the cause you be the A/C. Then, he became very rude and I grew afraid that he might become even more angry and asked him to leave. This was the third (and will be the last) time this type of encounter happened - almost exactly the same each time: the Pro Tech repairman got rude and derrogatory (toward the client) in just the first few minutes discussing the repair of an appliance. The last 2 times, I asked the repairmen to leave within the first 5 mins. I will not let them in my house again. read more

They didn't call for the scheduled video appointment to determine what is needed for the installation I was requesting. I called after the appointment time window to ask when they would actually call and was told they would call "momentarily" (about 10:20 am). About 4:30 pm someone texted and offered to call me later that evening. Based on the experience I had for the time it took to get any response initially, the time it took to schedule a video appointment (after I sent photos, per their request), the time I wasted waiting for the video call (after changing my plans to be availalbe) and the negative yelp reviews I read while waiting, I declined. read more

Pro Tech Appliance was sent to my home for a fridge/freezer issue. The young man Corbin has been in my home approximately 5 times. He left my appliance with Worse damage than the initial reasons for service. I wish I could install photos of the damage here and now for proof of his unsatisfactory work. I agree with the post by another dissatisfied client on Pro Tech Appliance 's disregard and disconnection when 'they' are the Problem with the situation. I too was disregarded when I contacted Corbin about my Still broken fridge/freezer. He stated to me that Pro Tech Appliance 's Contractor's are always fixing Astro Appliance 's Contractor's mess ups. I wonder who cleans up after Pro Tech Appliance. I want them to contact me and FIX my everyday appliance! Pro Tech owner, ask Corbin who I am. We used Pro-Tech as part of First American Home Warranty to repair washer and they did responsible job. Service tech was knowledgeable and knew exactly what was wrong. Ours was little obvious since we had leaky front loading door gasket and needed new seal No issues ever since and it's been over 6mths since repairs. read more

They are contracted by First American Home Warranty and are terrible. The tech diagnosed my fridge issue and wanted me to pay out of pocket. Then lied to warranty company that they did not diagnose the problem and had to come back out again which is another $75 service call fee. First American home warranty is also terrible. Will find any exclusion they can to avoid covering your repairs. read more

Pro-Tech rescued me from what I believe was an unscrupulous appliance repair service sent by our home warranty company. I believe the previous repair company seized upon an opportunity to prolong our refrigerator repair so they could submit multiple (7) invoices. I finally compelled the home warranty company to change service providers. Pro-Tech responded within hours of contact from the home warranty company and arrived the next day, at the exact time that the appointment was scheduled for. What had taken the other repair company 7 visits (leaving the fridge not functioning for 2 months) was fixed in less than 30 minutes by Pro-Tech. The technician exercised reasonable care to ensure that the flooring wasn't scratched (unlike the other company), and was really pleasant to work with! read more

This is the worse repair company I have ever dealt with. The home warranty company that I use had selected pro Tech to come out and look at my stove top. After 2 times they are still not sure what the issue is. Yet, when I asked the technician what he was going to report he said that it may be a manufacturing issue. He knew that after the 1st visit but he still reported that the stove top needed new burners. That wasn't the case. Avoid this company if you can. read more

I had an awful experience with this company recently for an oven repair. My home warranty ORHP assigned the job to this company. After the first inspection, they said they need to order new hinges of the oven door. Second time they came to install the new parts and claimed the job was done successfully. When I used the oven the first time after the "so called" repair, the oven door fell off and almost caused a severe accident! The technician from this company came to my home third time and then sent a report back to my home warranty company. The report said the oven door was damaged due to wear and tear and was not in the warranty coverage. I asked another contractor from market to inspect the oven again. I was told the oven was damaged by the Pro-Tech guys so much that they suggest me to replace it with a new one. This kind of dishonest and unprofessional crappy company should get out of business ASAP. Please be cautious when you consider to use this company. They do opposite thing you suppose them to do. My Samsung microwave stopped working. Spoke with few places, all suggested to replace rather than repair due to associated costs. My dryer was repaired the same day, and it needed spare parts. After describing a problem, they knew immediately what was wrong and how to fix it. These guys were sent out to my house via my home warranty with Old Republic to repair my vent hood which randomly stopped working. On the first trip out they tech took apart the vent hood and said that the transmission needed to be replaced. So he came back about a week later and put in a new transmission, but the vent hood stopped working again a couple hours after the tech left. I scheduled for them to come back again during the same week. So I took off work again but the tech never showed. I got a call later saying they were having car problems. Thanks for the heads up! When the tech comes back the next week, he thinks that the new transmission could have been faulty, so he put in another one. Same thing happens, and it stops working after a few hours. I give the company a call and they say they don't know what the issue is and that they give up! So unprofessional! I took off time from work on four separate occasions to deal with this bullshit company. Please think again before using this company. read more

They arrived early and he came back - 2nd visit - but was unable to fix anything. A week later Pro-Tech sent a more experienced repairman for the 3rd visit. He came with parts but could not achieve a repair. He told us they give up and would tell the extended warranty insurance company they were unable to fix the fridge. read more

My dishwasher was filling with water that was not going down. I thought something was clogging the drains so I tried to find a way to fix it myself. Well, that did not work out. It turns out it is a bit more complicated than unclogging a sink. So I called several companies and the guys from Pro-Tech were available on a day when I was off work. The repair man came by during the time frame they promised. He quickly did a diagnostic check and told me what usually causes this issue, but said there could be other problems. Luckily he had the needed part in his van. What I really liked is that he talked to me and explained what he was doing. He showed me how and where the water was coming back, took out the bad part and showed me where it was broken, then showed me the replacement. Also, he checked other areas for any problems, but all was good. After repair, he recommended a cleaning method to ensure that all the remnants of old water are cleared. So far dishwasher has been working like new. Overall, I am very satisfied with the level of service, knowledge, and professionalism. If I need to, I will call them again. read more

I'm not really sure why my previous review is "not recommended", so let me give some additional detail. This company "fixed" my very expensive microwave by replacing the broken magnitron with one that had half the power. It took three weeks to get ahold of them when I realized it was taking 5 minutes to heat a mug of water (rather than 30 seconds). The home insurance company took another week to sort out the mess, as Pro Tech charged them for a different component entirely (which, surprise, surprise, netted them more money), and THEY had to wait for Pro Tech to return their calls. When the OWNER of the company (who is incredibly condescending toward women... not a good quality for someone dealing with HOME repair) came out, he had the nerve to tell me that he thought the microwave wasn't working at all. Of course, he was right. The microwave WAS working. Just at 1/5 the power it was before he put his hands on it. I should have known to stop then, but I gave them one more chance to fix the rack adjuster on my dishwasher. He charged me $160.00 for parts and labor. Come to find out, they didn't even use a Kitchenaid part, and now, the rack won't adjust. To top things off, they broke the cover plate off of the microwave (which fell on me after a few days when the cardboard he had shoved in to stabilize it gave way). Since this is a non-mechanical part, I am having to foot the $300 cost to replace it myself. Consider yourselves warned. read more
