Disappointing. Overpriced. Very nice service though. Came for brunch on Sunday. We found free street parking which worked out. Went inside and the place was very busy. There is one main room with too many tables in it that my husband and I were squeezed into. Drink-wise I had a sub-par latte. My husband ordered a chocolate milk. He was brought a hot chocolate, sent it back and they brought a child's plastic cup with about 8oz of chocolate milk in.... The waitress asked if he would like it in a glass, obviously and adult would not want to drink it out of a child's cup. Turns out they were going to charge us $6.50 for the chocolate milk - that's more than what I pay for a gallon. Poor quality chocolate milk at that! They took that off the bill. Ridiculous. Foodwise I had the eggs Benedict and my husband had the americani sandwich. Nothing spectacular, especially my husbands' egg sandwich. Very boring. We also tried the tzatziki dip, they charge you extra for a few more slices of pita so beware. Lastly they were out of the three desserts I was interested in: rice pudding, custard filled bougatsa and apple bougatsa. $70+ for a weak brunch. As someone that lives in a predominately Greek neighborhood in NYC, I really enjoyed the offerings from this very neat restaurant in South Tampa. The favosalata was as good as any that you can find in Santorini. Keftedes sub was tasty, avocado bagel with smoked salmon was also superb and the octopus was perfectly grilled. The drinks we ordered were also quite tasty and refreshing. Oh and I also need to mention the accompanying bread and pita...delicious! The ambiance was great, the spot seems to be very popular and with good reason. My only negative critique is unfortunately the service. Our waitress did a good job explaining the dishes, but when they brought out, 3 waitresses were carrying and had no idea which table they belonged to. Had to call them out and tell them who had what. Our dishes were also not cleared in a timely manner when we finished, which is never a good look. It was a busy Saturday and perhaps and I'm sure this can be improved next time we visit. I absolutely love Psomi and highly recommend this restaurant. The ambiance and vibe are just right; It makes you want to stay all day. The food here is the best Greek Mediterranean food I have had in Tampa. It's moderately priced, and they do an awesome job with making sure my orders are free of gluten. They even will lettuce wrap your chicken souvlaki or gyro in lettuce if you request that. I have tried a lot of the menu items that are gluten-free and loved all of them except the hummus (it just wasn't good to me), but everything else was great. I would avoid eating the fries, though if you have Celiacs like I do. I was told they have a dedicated fryer usually, but sometimes it is used for other items. On one particular day I was advised they had just changed out the oil, and it was safe to eat the fries, but I did have an extreme gluten reaction to them (I am however, extremely sensitive to gluten and its different for everyone). Other than that, I have never had an issue at Psomi, and everything is always a 5/5. Although I can not have it, my husband says the French toast (made in their bakery) is to die for. It looks to die for. We always come for brunch. It's the best. Just make a reservation and be sure to be on time because it gets busy, and they get booked up for brunch. They have valet parking for 5$, but you can park on the street for free if there are open spaces. I highly recommend the Tarpon Greek salad. It's delicious and can feed a few people. The eggs and the chicken souvlaki. The dolmades were also very very good! They make a great Bloody Mary here from scratch also and it is served with a big thick slice of Butcher block bacon. The best brunch I've enjoyed in Tampa. We were lucky enough to snag a last-minute reservation for today. Our patio table is ready on time, the service was outstanding, the strawberry basil iced tea was refreshing and light and perfect accompaniment to our Eggs Benedict. Unreal. Such a cute spot and the food is absolutely amazing! We started with the tries so we could try all their dips, they were all great and I was surprised that my favorite was the yellow pea one. For my meal, I got the Greek dip sandwich. The chicken is cooked so well and very juicy + the sauce to drip it in. There's a bakery counter at the front if you just want to grab some to-go pastries or a coffee. Try the baklava syrup if you're getting a iced coffee, it's so delicious! Parking is quite rough, so I'd recommend carpooling if you're going with a few people. Visited Psomi on a Sunday afternoon for brunch and this place was packed so you just know walking in it's gonna be good! The restaurant is open and airy and features and indoor and outdoor dining area and bar! All the food from the appetizers to entrees were delicious! We started off with the Treis Dips appetizer which brought the Tzatziki, Melitzanosalata(eggplant) and the Favosalata(Psomis take on hummus made with split Pea Purée) this was a great shareable app that brought pita and veggies to dip. The Psomi take on the hummus was nice and not traditional at all and the fried capers added a nice crunch! We also ordered the Loukoumades which are like mini baklava donut balls and these were super tasty and came out piping hot and fresh! For my meal I ordered the Greek Salad and added grilled salmon on the side. The salmon and salad were super fresh! The salad presentation is rather plain but the potato salad surprise was at the bottom and it was super tasty! For drinks I tried the Kima very similar to a cucumber gimlet! Very refreshing and paired perfectly with the fresh apps and salad I had. To end my meal I did a Sweet Greek Expresso Martini and this creamy rich martini was the perfect ending to an amazing brunch! Very popular Greek restaurant with a large patio. Outstanding food and service. I was especially pleased to find Dolmades (stuffed grapes leaves) with meat. I live in Colorado and have only been able to find rice filled. The Avegolemono soup was also excellent. If I am ever in Tampa again, I will definitely return to try more of their menu. The dip was so fresh and the pita was hot, light, and soft and literally just one of the best pitas I've ever had. For entrees, we split the Bougatsa French Toast and the Salmon Benedict. The french toast was out of this world. It was an amazing french toast, and the bougatsa filling was perfectly creamy and sweet (but not overpoweringly sweet). They nailed it.
