Stepped into the steam room first after a quick shower. It was going great for a few couple of minutes alone until this "old" geezer came in, sat quietly and then BEHOLD, he reached forward to caress my thigh. I jerked-retracted my thigh immediately, like "WTF in my head!!" I kid you not! This is what went down! -- I know I'm very handsome and good looking, but if you're trying to get some or convert me, you better be sure you're good looking in return. Otherwise, this is a wrong place and time for that mister. Pretty faces like mine don't mess with..well, you all know the rest of the saying, I'm sure." (Yes! I hear stories about these sort of "bathhouses, but didn't expect this one was like that." -- not from the reviews I've read!) Anywho, I thought nothing of it and being the nice, polite gentleman that I am, I just let it go. He made conversation with me "Gosh, you're so beautiful. You have a nice body." All I can reply back to was "Thank You." He kept making conversation and I'm just like in my head "Gosh, I came here to relax, not make small talks." Yadayadayada...to make the small exchange short, I got up to leave, he reached out his hand again on my thighs and tried to stop me from getting up. I'm just like "man, this guy is something else." I stepped out to shower and jumped into the jacuzzi afterwards, and what do you know, he followed me out and sat on those beach chairs behind me, staring. At this point I was just like singing inside my head That "Barbie" chorus while feeling the warm water soaked between my bums and jets bubbling hitting the small of my back just to make light of what I experienced. Never would I ever thought I would come to a spa like this. I've drove past this place, search the web in the past and I thought it would be weird to go to a spa completely naked until a coworker explained what they do and shared their experience. So first things first, it's not a co-op. The men are separated from the women. Upon arrival they will walk u in (first timers) to the locker rooms. They will give u a bracelet that u will need to trade in with something for collateral. The bracelet is water proof and it opens your locker. They will give u a basket with a robe and some towels. Then you continue to proceed to the spot. You have an option to go into the steam room or the hot tub, but you must wash yourself before going into the hot tub and/or pool. I've seen one lady completely shower and bring her own shampoo and use the shower to shower herself completely. You can do that as well, but just know that depending on the package that you choose, they may wash your hair for you already. After you shower, you can go into the hot tub before you were called. I highly suggest going in at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment to enjoy these amenities. When your appointment time comes around, one of the ladies will call your number and take you to describing area. I got the classics special which included a body scrub, a massage, a facelift, hair wash, and milk bath. I tried to go in with underwear, but it just makes the whole process more difficult for them so I took it off and they keep your parts covered - for the most part. So you lay in this pink table that they poor warm water over. It didn't look comfortable from the photos, but it was actually cushioned. You lay down and they will cover your eyes and they will pour warm water over you. Not once did I feel like I was cold. They will scrub every inch of your body and get all of the dead skin out. After they do the body scrub they will have you rinse off then you get back on the pink bed and they will complete the rest of the package that you choose. When you are done, they'll have you just rinse off with water again and then you're done. Before you get changed and leave, I suggest checking out there other amenities like the stone rooms; Jade room, the salt/Himalayan room, and one other stone room. Last, bring cash for a tip. 10/10. This is legit the best scrub I have ever had. I have been reborn. My skin and my outlook on life are both brighter after my day at PSY. I've come here twice and prefer the Special Package B: 90-min combo for $160. This is a 30-min scrub + 60 min massage. I don't like the deep tissue massage so instead I asked my masseuse to add oil for my massage and it became instantly better! What I also love is how they give you a little mini-facial and also shampoo/condition and brush your hair. So soothing. I arrive an hour before my appointment to use the amenities: steam, sauna, hot pool and cold pool. It's usually never super packed, and you can be fully naked (I wear bathing suit) and bring my flip flops. It's best to get there 45-min early and bask in the steam/sauna so that your skin gets softer and helps with the scrub. Meh. It took me a few days to write this review since I didn't want to compare it to Wi Spa down in LA. This is not that place... so I visited another bay area K-spa for comparison. This is the only K-spa in the East Bay, I think, so for convenience sake it does the job. If you are looking to soak in a tub, use the saunas, and lay in the jjimjilbang area it does the trick. I didn't feel like it was super clean, and I did not like that women were given robes instead of shorts and a t-shirt. Also...no slippers?! They have two hot jjimjilbang rooms, and one room temp room. I didn't try any of the services, but felt the overall feel and cleanliness of the place was a let down. read more

First Timer Korean Spa: I love spas and was recommended this place and I didn't ask any questions but I did look on yelp. I called and asked questions and he was really patient and nice he recommended the scrub. When I arrived I was greated. If you pay cash they give you a mask. They ask for an Id or your keys to hold and they give you a basket with a locker key, towel and robe. They give you a quick tour and you are good to go. They recommend coming early to get in the jacuzzi. There is a women and men side. You can be fully nude. That was new for me. I've never been at a spa like that. When you walk in you are not supposed to talk or use phones. This doesn't give me girls day spa more like come by yourself and enjoy. I checked out the steam room which was nice. My number was called and it was my turn for my service. I did 90 minutes which I recommend if you are doing the scrub because its not an add on of time. It is done within the time you select. There are no rooms just a dividers, be mindful if you aren't comfortable with others seeing you. I laid on a table and I received the scrub first. I thought it was going to hurt but it felt good. I did feel like I was getting scrubbed like a dog but in a good way. They pour water on you to wash off. The only thing is inbetween I was a little cold. You shower a couple times and also recieve a milk wash. After they lay towels down and then you get a massage. Im so glad I didn't pay for a deep tissue because my massage was perfect pressure. To be honest, I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I actually really enjoyed my experience. The facilities were clean, and even though the space is on the smaller side, we were still able to spend about 45 minutes relaxing in the jacuzzi and trying out the different heated dry rooms. Our appt was on a sat at 11 so we got there around 10:15 and we pretty much had the facilities to ourselves! I got the scrub and massage package. Scrub--so good! The massage was pretty decent too but nothing life changing ha! Overall, I'll definitely be back, but I'll probably skip the massage next time. read more

When you get the itch for a Korean scrub, there's no avoiding it. I wanted to introduce my friends to the Korean spa experience. I usually go to Pearl in SF but they didn't have availability for my last min request. I remember that PSY is my girl Cheryl M.'s spot so off we went! I had notified the team in advance that one of my friends was 8 months pregnant and they said they can do a scrub and massage for her lying on her side. I noticed the lady at the front didn't check for proof of Covid vaccination or take anyone's temperature. We paid in the lobby $140 each for 90 min scrub and massage treatments. Cash is king here as there is a charge for credit card usage. We were given our own locker key and two sets towels. I was expecting a robe but they didn't provide one. FYI - I think they expect you to already know the process before you come. It was our first time there and there wasn't an explanation of the process. Since I was the "expert" in the group, I let my friends know what to expect. Locker room and amenities area were clean and modern-looking. We soaked in the spa for a bit, which was not that hot (probably because we went at 9am when they opened) and were eventually called for our treatments. The area where we are scrubbed was not separated by curtains and it was a bit cold lying on the table naked. Luckily my lady put warm wet towels on me throughout but it was still a bit colder than usual. My lady was really strong and thorough - much props to her! Lots of dead skin was sloughed off and the massage was the usual hurts so good experience. I wish there was better face positioning when we are face down, however. It's not that comfortable. We didn't have time to enjoy the other amenities and we had to go once our treatments were done. No offer of complimentary Korean face masks - womp. I think I was spoiled with frequenting Pearl's for most of my K-spa experiences. Overall, the main components of the Korean scrub experience was similar to Pearl's but I do like Pearl better because of their more personalized, accommodating customer service, jovial staff, higher quality amenities, and offerings (your own robes, slippers in the beginning and complimentary face masks upon leaving.) Some of my closest friends took me to PSY Spa for my birthday. I opted for the 50-minute Signature Facial (face massage and face mask) which is $120, but since it also includes access to all amenities (normally $40 for admission), I'd say it's a steal. Young was the name of the woman who did my facial and she did such an amazing job - my face felt so smooth and my skin was glowing for days afterward. I will definitely be coming back! It's easy to call and book facials and I think I'd recommend early morning visits since the spa doesn't seem to be too busy just yet. There's also ample free parking at the back! The spa is not the largest or fanciest jimjilbang-style facility you've probably ever been to, but I think it has the necessary highlights. I do wish that there was water available in the relaxation area since the floors are heated and it can get pretty warm, but the walk to the women's locker room where I did see a water dispenser is not too far away. The woman at the front desk did note an outdoor patio area with some tables and board games. My friends and I spent some time chatting and playing Dixit and definitely walked away from our first visit feeling relaxed and happy. I can imagine all the effort it takes to run an establishment like this and I'm just grateful that there's a place like this in the East Bay and you don't always have to drive into SF or the South Bay. read more

I came to Psy Spa over the weekend with a few girlfriends for the first time and definitely won't be my last! I'm so glad to have found a Korean spa so close to home! The overall space isn't as big as some of the ones you go to in LA but it's clean, well maintained, and gets the job done. A couple of my friends opted for just the massage and another friend and I opted for Korean scrub and massage. The price was reasonable compared to what you would pay in SF. You can find out what type of Korean spa service they have on their website and call ahead to make a reservation if there's specific service you're looking for. If you're just looking to come and lounge at their jjimjibang, I don't think you need a reservation. When we were there, it wasn't too crowded. Wow. I'm a new woman! 40+ years of dead skin scrubbed off me as I rolled around like a beached whale having a poor woman scrub me to my core. This was my first Korean spa experience and definitely not my last. A few things to note for first timers. They say they are co-ed on their website but there is a men's and women's section. In those sections (at least from what I can see on the women's side) there is a hot tub, cold tub, showers, wood sauna, and eucalyptus steam room and locker room. They give you a locker that you can make up your own code to lock. Pay attention when they tell you how to use it, else you will end up like me, unable to unlock it later. Basically you have to hit start, your code, and lock button both to lock and unlock it. Also, bring your own flip flops otherwise you will end up with the oversized size 10 lender they give you, which you will be constantly tripping over the whole time you're there. In the women's area you are asked to be unclothed but they do give you a small hand towel to sit on. They also give you a basket for you to have your things like the robe they provide and additional towel in. I was confused by this, but I think you bring that with you and set it on a shelf as you enter (not leave it in your locker like I did). I also suggest you bring a water bottle with you and leave it in your basket. They have water you can use to refill it but they only provide shot size dixie cups to use otherwise. As you enter, you are asked to shower, then you can start using the facilities. I suggest giving yourself at least 45min to an hour before your appointment to use everything and relax. They will come find you when it is your turn and use your locker number to call for you. Now to the beat down. The room they scrub you down in is basically little cubicles that you can see over. Really no privacy but do I really care, not really. Everyone was respectful and they have you lay down on what looked like an operating table. Everything was scrubbed and I mean everything! The soap they used smelled like my grandma's dial hand bar soap she had. I have very sensitive skin and it was fine. Either that or I don't have any skin left for it to react to! They even wash your hair, which was nice. They also wrap your eyes when you first lay down so there is no awkward eye contact during the process or glaring surgery lights on you. They flip you every which way and pull and move everything every which way to get in there. At one point I thought I might have had my skin bleeding but it was really only at the end when they put more warm water on you. Afterwards I put the robe on and went into the co-ed area. They have 3 rooms, which I basically had to myself. One room was made out of Himalayan sea salt, another room Jade and the last one Amethyst(?). I took a wood block and used it as a pillow to lay down in the room. I'm sure the rooms are usually really nice but I could hear music and people talking in other parts of the place so it was a bit too distracting for me. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it! Also, bring cash to tip your person. They will give you an envelope at the end of the session and you can drop it in a mailbox as you head out. P.S there is parking in the back. read more

MEN, read this review! (2025) Quick clarification -- only several dry rooms are co-ed, or the massage rooms can be co-ed/couples. The wet areas are separated. So -- Men! Come here to recover from work stress or athletics, without having to deal with adult play at other small Asian day spas. I am not straight. AND I really appreciate the overhaul discouraging gay cruising. Signs announce that sexual activity is not permitted, etc. Regardless of my orientation, I'm here to physically recover and check out and feel good without having to manage some people's agendas. So kudos to management for pushing inappropriate behavior elsewhere. I've been here a dozen times from 2024-2025 and everyone's just chilling with no issues. Men are supposed to wear black swim shorts in their side. I'd say the majority do. The male treatment staff are often walking around doing their tasks and work, and I haven't seen any issues because everyone's just decompressing. But responding to some reviewers -- wearing swim trunks is not that uncomfortable, come on guys. Bring your own as recommended, they'll fit better. (Also, bring your own slippers.) The clearest male-side nudity exceptions are -- Nobody cares if you take your shorts off to shower, unlike another review mentioned. The main lady at the front desk may be motivated to deter cruisers by saying that, but everyone showers nude, whatever. Also, you'll get nude for a scrub: you start laying down naked face up, then get a hand cloth for modesty, which will come off anyway when you turn onto your sides. Remember to wear the dry brown shirt and shorts if you want to come back out through the changing room and into the common co-ed hallway with several dry rooms. With boy business out of the way... PSY is always clean, no mildew smell, simple and perfect for athletic recovery or forgetting work stress. Phones stay in the lockers (yes, please). The soap/ shampoo/ conditioner have always been stocked. If the showers are cold you need to press the red button when you rotate the handle to activate hot water. There's body lotion in the changing room. In the winter come at times of day that are warmer, like not the morning or night, as the water or air can get less warm than ideal. The cold bath is not an ice bath - it ranges from cool to cold depending on the weather and time of day. But I typically start shivering after about 5 minutes, and can't be fully submerged more than 10-15 minutes. It's enough to achieve the contrast bath effect on my muscles. IF you like your scrub or massage treatments heavy-handed like I do, ask for "Jason" (the older Korean gentleman - BTW use simple words like Good, Yes, No, Tight and nonverbals). Both male treatment workers ask Ok? when something seems especially painful or tight - or when confirming a new body area that might be uncomfy for some to get massaged like the abs. Jason knows minimal English but he'll adapt based on your tone of voice and certain simple words. You can always gesture to an area of your body + say Yes/No/Good. It's Korean style massage, not Swedish or Western deep tissue, so be open to a faster pace and a fair amount of time working through the sheet first for deeper grip. And then, Korean scrubs are by definition comprehensive (everything but the face and the actual private parts, under a little cloth), and they're semi in the open, so let go of any shyness. All front desk and male treatment staff have been friendly. I used the online system to book treatments before and had no issue. (I just stopped using the online system in order to specifically request Jason.) It's refreshing to have this cultural experience here, reminding me of a very pared down neighborhood version of the social/family bathhouses in Korea and Taiwan that my local hosts brought me to. PSY is great for exactly what it is, no frills, clean, convenient, friendly, and restorative. read more

I've been to a similar Korean spa in SF and wanted to try this location out because it's much closer to home. The facilities like the women's locker room was nice, clean and big. The amenities (dry sauna, steam room, salt room etc) were great to use and not so crowded. However my treatment was less than underwhelming. The lady that did my treatment was VERY rough. She scrubbed some parts of my private area then used those same mitts to scrub my face which is not normal of a scrub and very unsanitary. The massage HURT. She was kneading with her elbow and fingers so much my whole body was moving. I had to tell her to stop a couple times. Again, I've experienced this before at a different spa and had no issues. I have been coming here since it was open with my family. Then last time I was here was pre pandemic. Now I am back and many things has been changed. They spent lots of time and money remodeling. They no longer have kitchen (restaurant) I do see that they are still remodeling, however they do sell Cup noodles and some snacks in the front desk area. I was excited to try their food during jjim Jil time however it was closed so I was little disappointed. When I walked up to the front, they straight up try to upsell me with services. Compare to Palo Alto, SF spas, price was pretty highly increased for the neighborhood and quality of facility. But They Do have day pass for $40! I do see less Koreans here mostly all foreigners now I can see why. They give you two towels. 1 big 1 small. They don't give you slippers but they do allow to bring your own. Inside women's facility there's Steam & Dry Sauna, one cold pool and one hot pool with individual cleaning stations on the left side and right side it's all shower area. They want you to be really quiet because the place is all built next to each other. I did booked scrub and massage combo $180 they want to take full amount deposit and it's no refundable. Service isn't too friendly. If you speak Korean they are just little bit nicer. read more

First off, if you don't know what a Korean spa is- go watch Conan and Steven Yeun on YouTube so there are no surprises. This is a small Korean spa. I have been looking high and low for something in the bay area that comes close to Wi Spa, and this definitely is not it lol. I got the massage and body scrub. It's not so much relaxing as it is satisfying to see all my nasty skin molt off of me and being left with silky smooth velvet skin. The best part of PSY spa is the jimjilbang which are "ovens" you can rest in. What I really found disheartening was that the mutual areas were very loud and the staff did not enforce the their guests to use their indoor voices. It was not peaceful at all and I could not enjoy my nap! I'm still on the search but as far as Korean spas, I still like Pearl the best. read more

This spa recently completed a homophobic remodel. They have installed a modesty wall, waist high, between the shower and hot tub area that are all in the same open room. They also now require bathing suits to be worn and will hand you a XXXL size shorts to wear if you don't bring your own. This is clearly a case of covert homophobia. Once I got over the indignity of being treated like a slab of flesh that was scrubbed, rinsed, scrubbed, massaged, scrubbed - I rose feeling very clean and a bit disoriented ... which I suppose is usually the case after a good massage. This was my first visit to a Korean Spa and I suppose it met expectations. I'm not sure I would get another massage b/c I hadn't expected to be scrubbed down, given a mini facial, had my hair washed and massaged all on the same table ... an arms length away from some other lady groaning through the same process ... in a giant community shower room. I would have been more comfortable if those were proper massage tables (i.e. with a headrest) and if they didn't seem so stingy with the towels (or if someone didn't just take my towel). There's multiple rooms like a dry steam room, wet steam room, etc. My favorite was the wet steam room. I only got the general admission so I didn't get a massage or scrub. I absolutely love this spa. It is relaxing and I always get the Pure Bliss Package. After starting out in the hot tub, I was taken to the table where the full body scrub started. The woman was kind and stopped often to ask if I was OK or if she was scrubbing too hard. Each and every time I walk out of PSY I feel re-energized and squeaky clean. The last time I went, I took my husband so he could experience the Korean spa and he LOVED it. First time at a Korean spa. I got the Ultimate Package for $180 which consists of 30 min of scrub and 90 min oil massage. My skin felt so soft afterwards. I use a rough scrubbing towel everyday when I shower and I thought I was doing a great job exfoliating. The scrub is amazing. Make sure to go at least 30 minutes before your treatment to use the hot tub and sauna. Having your pores open helps with scrubbing away the dead skin. My favorite massage is still myofascia. Checked in, paid the remaining balance, got a quick tour, they have stone, jade, and salt rooms, passed by a few therapy rooms, and then the women's bathroom. They have a hot sauna, steam room, one hot tub and one cold tub. It's a small spa compared for Wispa, but still a cute and cozy place to relax and unwind with friends! Tina did a really nice job!! She helped get out some of my knots in my back and would check in to make sure she was applying a comfortable amount of pressure, would love to come back. read more

EVERYTHING! My friend and I went on the fly, NOT thinking they would take us without an appointment, but, they did!!! We chose #3 on the menu and FULL DISCLOSURE, if you are NOT comfortable being naked in front of your masseuse or other women, this place is NOT for you! The host was very nice and informative, showing us all the different rooms to be able to relax before your massage. After disrobing and showering, you have the option of sauna, steam room or hot tub - naked. We chose steam room and hot tub and about 30 min later, our masseuse' arrived. We each got thoroughly scrubbed down of our dead skin, showered, followed by a lavender oil massage, shampoo/conditioned your hair, and a quick facial mask and then shower again. I can tell the lady had an attitude with me and was talking about me to her friend, she was very rough with me and I could tell by the way she scrubbed me and gave me my massage that she hated having to service me, I dont appreciate the her attitude and it did make me feel like she was being racist towards me, if you dont like your job then get another one, im sorry you have to work their, truly, but dont take it out on me, I still gave her a very generous tip even though she didnt deserve not 1 penny, I hope I never get her again, and she did not do a good job,paid all that money to be treated rudely, roughly, and not happy with final result. Thankfully they are not all like her. Also I think they should scrub people with different scrubber, it doesnt seem sanitary and can possibly spread disease or skin conditions by cleaning off dirt from on person and using the same scrubber to scrub the next person, stop being so cheap, you guys are charging us expensive prices so the least you can do is change those cheap scrubs for each person, we should not have to pay extra, that is terrible customer service to have a choice to be scrubbed with a dirty scrubber from your previous clients or pay Extra in addition to the $130 charge plus tip that we have to pay, ridiculous...Furthermore whenever you do scrub people, you should use a separate scrubber or scrub the feet LAST, it makes no since to scrub dirty feet and then without rinsing, you take that same dirty cloth amd rub it up and down our bodies into our private parts, absolutely ridiculous read more

Lovely experience. I went about 3wks ago; did the steam sauna and both jacuzzis. I had the Pure Bliss package for $220 and it truly fostered bliss. The lady who worked on me was great. Afterwards I sat in the salt room for a little bit. A wonderful experience! read more

I'm no novice to the Korean Spa experience. I frequent the Pearl Spa in Sf which is amazing but a bit of a commute, so I was excited to find out Psy spa because it's basically up the street from my home. I was expecting the same luxury experience that I've grown accustomed too, but that was not the case. Let's start with what I did enjoy.... My masseuse, Lee was excellent. The scrub was thorough and the massage was perfect. The locker room was neat and clean. And the refresh area was spacious. My gripes are mainly with the facility itself. The entrance area is a bit tacky with handwritten signs on the plastic partition that separates the receptionist from customers. There were also vending machine up front that made the spa feel cheap like a motel 6 lobby. You get two towels and and a paper thin robe that has Psy Spa written in BLACK SHARPIE across the back and no slippers or sandals provide. The ambient temperature was rather chilly which was not ideal when you are nude and wet. The jacuzzi was warm rather than hot, and no one offered to show us around or even told us about The salt room, Stone room, or jade room. I assumed that they did have something of the sort but no one offered that information. We only found the rooms because another patron told us where to go. Overall its fine for convenience and if you are going alone, but it's not the kind of place I would book for a girls day out. read more

Be warned - I booked a service here online and had to cancel due to a conflict. For some reason, I was charged twice and after two months of texts and calls with PSY management and their booking system, PSY has not fully refunded me for both charges. Alright. As a first timer to a traditional Korean Body Scrub experience, my visit to PSY was interesting and unique? I've attached prices to this review so readers can see that the spa services are not too costly but I hear it's even less expensive in renown Korea Towns throughout the State particularly in Southern California. Anyway, when you arrive - you pay for your selected services and then a staff member escorts the guest(s) to a locker and changing room. The spa is equipped with steam rooms (salt, stone, and jade), saunas, and a small pool including a jacuzzi. When your number is called, your scrubber will invite you to the back of the house where there are a number of rubber mats set up side by side and separated by small wall partitioners. You'll be asked to rinse your body in the open showers and then to lie down on your scrubber's station then -- the scrubbing begins. It's a weird (and maybe even painful if you have sensitive skin like I do) experience because the scrubbing is mean and a bit intrusive. I went with my girls and we all agreed that our skin was baby-butt soft after all of it. It's an exfoliation process that I wouldn't do too frequently but it's certainly worth to try if you haven't already. read more

Came here yesterday with a party of 5 because Pearl didn't have enough appointment slots to accommodate our whole party on this date, so we decided to give Psy spa a try! Unfortunately, there were many aspects that fell short. Apologies in advance, but a lot of this review will be in comparison to Pearl Spa in SF Japantown, since that's where we usually go once or twice a year. We all had appointments at 3:30pm for the 1 hour scrub + massage service. We came around 1:45pm to enjoy the co-ed hot rooms and the baths beforehand. Cost was $130 per person without including tip. Bring cash for tip (they give you an envelope to put it in and drop in a box before you leave). Pros: - very easy to find and free easy parking lot. Especially great if you live in the East Bay and don't want to drive into the city. - co-ed, so great if your party has both genders or if you're a mixed gender couple looking to do something together - Excellent scrub service - the Korean ladies went HARD. My skin was very soft afterwards and they scrubbed around the face and neck area, which I think Pearl Spa does not do. It did feel really intense and I felt almost raw at some points, but afterwards the skin was very soft, no red bumps or ingrown hairs either. - The massage was not bad - it felt very intense like they were just rubbing their knuckles up and down every muscle belly. - All the regular amenities including steam room, dry sauna, hot bath and ice bath were available in the women's only side, and then co-ed area had the heated floor general area, salt room, jade room, and stone room. The salt room is "mild," the stone room is "medium" heat and the jade room is the "most intense heat." More on that later in the cons section. Cons (most of these are in comparison to Pearl Spa in SF, since that's the other accessible Korean spa in the area): - One of the people in my party ended up not getting her scrub, because they DOUBLE BOOKED. It was so sad, they didn't realize it until my friend was still waiting in the hot bath area 15 minutes after they called the rest of us. They ended up giving her just a 1 hour massage (Not what she booked) and the only refund was TEN. DOLLARS. In my opinion they should have offered to refund 50% or more. - Weird interaction at the front desk when we checked in, where at first they wanted us to pay the rest of our deposits separately, but then told us that they would put the rest on my friend's card who booked the appointments for all 5 of us. But they wouldn't let her just charge the card they had on file that the reservation was booked under, and we didn't have the original card physically with us? Overall the interaction was weird. - No slippers provided, unlike Pearl spa. Which I think was weird because they allow shoes in the locker area, so it's hard to tell if the whole floor area is truly clean, since I didn't see anyone cleaning the floors while we were there either. - Only robes provided for the co-ed area, no shorts. Which is weird because if you want to stretch while you're in the jade or stone hot rooms, hopefully no men are also trying to chill in there and can see all your private parts. - No additional clean towels available other than the small sweat towel and larger towel they give you when you first walk in. So if you use one for sweat and have used the larger one during your time in the bathhouse area, there's nothing clean to wrap yourself in after your treatment appointment (At Pearl they wrap you in a dry warm clean towel after - none of that here). - The treatment tables that you lie face down and on your back on didn't have the face hole, so it was really hard to stay in a neutral spine comfortable position while getting scrubbed and massaged. Tip - ask your lady for a neck support pillow and they gave me one - my friends who didn't know they could ask for one spent their time feeling uncomfortable. - The women's only area was unfortunately extremely loud - it felt like they almost overbooked their appointments because there were ~20 people in there at a time, talking loudly, so it's not the most relaxing spa experience. They don't really enforce the quiet rules either, even though they tell everyone when you first check in. - NO products or hair tools available to use after your treatments. Just generic shampoo, conditioner, and soap, and 2-3 hairdryers. So I recommend bringing your own products and lotions. - NO snacks available - The cold bath wasn't as cold as I thought it would be, and the hot bath wasn't as hot as I thought it would be. the salt room just felt like a regular room with a heater turned on, the jade room was the only one that had me sweating. - The towels I was given were ratty and falling apart Overall, for the exact same price as the Born to Beauty service at Pearl Spa in SF, this experience came up short, and the most disappointing part was that one of the girls in our party didn't even get the treatment service she paid for.
