    Beef curry

Ordered Beef Curry with rice. The curry was half of the container and it cost me $20. Bad business. No star is deserved but before posting I have to.

I've actually dined here several times and most likely will never return. I wish I could give this place better reviews if not for several factors that couldn't be ignored. This restaurant is desperate for some good cleaning. Our table wasn't clean and under our table was filthy and the floor was sticky. I believe there was only two people running the restaurant. One was running the front end. She was the hostess, server, busser and cashier. Then there was back end, the cook/dish washer. It was ridiculous.

The atmosphere of a restaurant serving Beef Pho is casual and inviting, with the aroma of spices and broth filling the air. The decor includes Vietnamese-inspired elements, such as lanterns, artwork, music, creating a unique dining experience. The Beef Pho is delicious ! The broth is super flavorful, usually made with beef bones and spices. It comes with rice noodles, tender slices of beef, and a bunch of fresh herbs like cilantro and basil. Squeeze some lime in there, with some sauces! It's a comforting and satisfying dish, perfect for a chilly day or when you're feeling under the weather or just to enjoy whenever!

14A. Hot & Spicy Noodles Soup - Bun Bo Hue
    Aleshka G.

I am not the usual type to write a review, let alone a bad one. However, what had happened today was indescribably disappointing. On February 23 2026, I was craving Bun Bo Hue. I was looking around where I lived because my usual spot, Pho House Restaurant (on Litchfield n Van Buren), closes on Mondays. I found PT Pho Express on 99th n McDowell. I look through their menu and found "Hot & Spicy Noodles Soup - Bun Bo Hue", I called their number (6239367633) at 4:56 PM. From what I heard, a white 20-30 year old woman picked up the phone. I told her about 3 times that I was ordering Bun Bo Hue. After 10 minutes my boyfriend and I arrived at the restaurant, he got off the car to pick up. As he got back in the car, it looked nothing like Bun Bo Hue AND didn't have the broth. Seemed like teriyaki beef on top of dry noodles with lettuce on the side. My boyfriend went back inside to tell the workers they gave him the wrong thing. They told him to look through the physical menu to see what exactly it was that he asked for. Nothing on the menu said Bun Bo Hue. I sent him the picture of what was on their website. Apparently on their physical menu it doesn't even say Bun Bo Hue, but rather Hot & Spicy??? That is literally what it's called in their physical menu. The workers were kind enough to give us the real Bun Bo Hue. As we came back home, the broth was extremely cold and odd looking. The noodles were all extremely small and cut in length by a ton. Am I eating rice? Once I heated it up, I was even more disappointed as it didn't taste like Bun Bo Hue at all. The meat is so flimsy and the texture to be described as grainy. Needless to say, I'm never coming back here. Save yourself and just don't order from here. Order from Pho House Restaurant on Litchfield n Van Buren.

I've had better food from other Vietnamese places. Service was excellent and friendly. I saw others leaving large amounts of un eaten food. So I'm pretty sure I'm not the only patron who didn't find this food to be the best.

Pho Burrito?! Has anyone tried it yet?

Get your ass in the car and eat here NOW!…read more Phenomenal. FLAVOR bomb! First time trying Cambodian cuisine and wow -- totally impressed. Flavor is honestly getting harder to find lately, but this place delivers BIG on flavor and especially on spice. They actually have spice levels from 2 all the way up to 15 (yes, fifteen ). I ordered a level 5 and my mouth was definitely on fire -- in a good way. Next time I might go even hotter because the heat didn't overpower the flavor, it enhanced it. Solid vegan options . My husband tried the Cambodian pho, which was a totally new experience for us since we've only ever had Vietnamese pho., Super comforting, really well balanced. Also huge shoutout to our server -- phenomenal service from start to finish. The restaurant itself is adorable too, with handmade art pieces and even beautiful purses imported from Cambodia for sale. Casual vibe, not fancy, but the food, spice, and service absolutely make it worth coming back. First Cambodian experience = a success. We'll definitely be back for more .

They communicated their levels as #5 medium, #10 hot and #15 very hot .Didn't sound like they did in between numbers and it seemed like a strange numbering system. The chilli crisp oil on the table was spicy so we started with Cambodian sour soup at medium spice (#5 ) It usually has chicken broth and fish sauce I believe but the owner made it vegetarian for us. The soup was good but it felt less spicy than we wanted. The tartness of the soup was really good though and as we ate more of the bottom of it it had a tad more spice. It was also good with the table chilli crisp oil. It came in a hot pot as we love and they refilled the candle for us. Their spoons were awkward for the shape of the hotpot and it was a little hard to scoop out the soup. Next we decided to try a curry. All their curries didn't have chicken stock. The yellow one also didn't have shrimp paste we were told and we decided to go with that one. We ordered it at #10 out of 15 spice level with tofu and it also came with some veggies. #10 was flavorful but we probably would have been fine with the highest #15 spice level here. When I walked around to see the art in the restaurant I saw a big sign on a monitor saying they don't refund plates that are too spicy. The yellow curry did feel different than a typical Thai yellow curry which was fun and was good. We definitely would go with the highest spice level here if we were to be back here and I think we would have liked it more that way. Good spot for vegan and vegetarian options. Based on this one experience i'd give it 3.5 stars. I'd have to try more and at the higher spice levels to decide between 3 stars or 4 stars. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

But somehow I had saved this one to my map so I came here with a couple friends for dinner last week. I wasn't super hungry, so I just ordered spring rolls, crispy chicken dumplings and a "dragon egg" boba tea "smoothie." Though it was on their menu under "Smoothies" it was not a smoothie at all. It was an icee. That said, it was still delicious and I loved the fresh and fruity boba balls. The flavor was more lychee than strawberry, but I didn't mind. My friends got an appetizer plate and 5-spice chicken. Both enjoyed their food very much. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere, but does have sit-down service. Very chill vibes, and prices were fair. The place was clean, staff was attentive, and the peanut sauce that came with my spring rolls wasn't spicy, which I appreciated! I wanted to just chill and take my time to eat, but the server never came back again for me to order another drink so I decided I should just get out then since they didn't want me there long it seemed let's start off with the food review tho my spring rolls tasted off like there was something a bit funky with them, as well as how to frozen texture on the inside and I was given the smallest amount of fish sauce I've ever seen every other place. I've been to is a huge amount or like a generous amount of that sauce dividend but I got like barely anything so I was like trying to scoop it at the end, but yeah, definitely funky tasting rolls. The pho itself consisted mostly of noodles and a decent amount of meat at least but with the combination, I felt like the tendon they just gave the biggest chunks possible, which were extremely hard to try to bite through unusual for me to come across I love tripe and tendon the most in the combos, the regular size is generously sized tho no need to pay extra for a larger size unless you're really hungry the flavor of the broth tasted good nothing special but it was a alright meal prob won't come back but I don't think it was entirely a waste of time

My last visit this month for an order of shrimp fried rice was my final straw and I will find somewhere else to find some food. It has been a very slow spiral downward with the quality of food. I am talking years where the consistency was slipping. Then last month it was as if they forgot what they were doing. Call in takeout orders have been a speed bump. You call in and you're quoted a time of when your order will be ready. You pay for your order when you get there. Then the clock starts.
