Our aunt and uncle brought us here for dinner when we were in town visiting and it was the coolest place! They ordered the fish and chips and the waffle fries were some of the best I've had! My husband and I got the butter chicken from the food truck and it was amazing. Super fast service for both of our orders, reasonably priced, and the space is really cool. I usually don't leave reviews, but felt like this would be helpful. I've never been here before, the ambiance is promising. It's an old church converted into multiple food options. Here's the bottom line: Moi Poki was terrible service, although the food came out great. NW Burger was decent service, but the food was terrible. It was 8:30pm on the dot on a Wednesday night and they wouldn't serve me a burger since they stop serving that menu at 8:30pm. So, I got the fish and chips. The server was nice, but the food came out looking terribly ho-hum considering it was $20+ for fish and chips. I was not impressed. My gf ordered poki next door at Moi Poki. The emo girl that took her order could have cared less that she was there taking orders. My gf is celiac and asked her recommendations for GF options. She responded with "oh, i don't eat raw fish." Great, thanks for nothing. She then went on to mess up the order and it never went back to the cooks. So, a half an hour later - after I'd already eaten my meal and had a drink - we went back up to her and asked her what the hold up was. She went to the back to see and came back and said "Oh, it must not have printed out, I'm sorry." No refund, no offer to make it right. A whole half hour had gone by! And there was no one in there. Disappointed and not impressed. The server at the Whiskey Lab was very nice and helpful when we got drinks in there. Hope this helps and you have a better experience! read more

Fun place, lots of eateries to choose from. Then get your beer, there's a lot to choose from, don't get overwhelmed. Have a taste to narrow the selection down. Plenty of seating, my favorite was inside with cathedral ceilings & stained glass. Really great, very casual as it's not a full service place. The atmosphere makes up for that! read more

I went for a early Mardi Gras celebration and the place was packed with a diverse and welcoming crowd. Great music and a ton of food choices, including Mardi Gras specials. Only but was it was a bit of a long wait from when we ordered to when our food was ready. We weren't in a hurry and enjoyed drinks and the band while waiting. As good as the band was, you really couldn't have a conversation and expect to hear the person sitting across from you. Still a pretty great time and meal. read more

Such a great addition to downtown Springfield! We only had time to grab a drink, but were so impressed with the amount of options packed into one place. There's lots of outdoor seating, and it looks like a decent amount of indoor for when it gets colder outside. Skip on the pizza from Pizza Cue if you're dining for 1. It's $14 for a personal pizza that's the size of a small plate. The pizza is decent, crust is good, and if you like a lot of cheese then you'll like it (I don't), but the personal size is a complete rip off given the price. read more

I love the Beer Garden, it's my all-time favorite spot in Eugene. Public House is owned by the same people. I live in Springfield, so it's within walking distance from my house. The renovated church is amazing. The outdoor seating is outstanding. The Whiskey Lab by far the best cocktail spot in Lane County. So much to love... except the food. They used to have to a BBQ place that was really great, but it's gone now. At this point I eat at Planktown and then just walk over. If they could revamp all the food places, maybe find a way to get Zingaro in there, it would get the 5 stars it deserves. read more

I was at the attic bar upstairs and it was clearing out a bit. and suddenly the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. when the bartender finally came back to the bar and I asked him what the music was so insanely loud and he said "cuz I like it" and I said "it sucks" and he said "I don't care." and then I told his manager and he said he would talk to the bartender but it was very clear that he didn't care either. Won't be back to this place. obviously customer service is far less important than the bartender having a good time. read more

Not family friendly. Another family and my family were asked to leave because our toddlers were doing what toddlers do and running in the grass a bit. They were supervised by us by the smoker and the waitress was outraged, she even used the f word when talking to us. Apparently she is also the manager, which was very surprising since she is extremely rude when talking to customers and obviously does not have kids (asked her and she does not). Food is fine but I give the service negative 5 stars for being rude to my family and ruining our Father's Day. Word of advise for this restaurant: find a new manager. read more

What a cool spot! Lots of eateries to choose from. Go order what you'd like, take your number, and have a seat. Perfect for those times when no one can agree on a type of food for dinner. One wants Mexican, one wants BBQ, you know what I'm saying. This place has you all covered, vegan and vegetarians too. Solid tap menu and a whisky bar too. While it was busy on the Friday night we went, we were able to find a seat after a brief roam around the place. And thumbs up for the acoustics in this old church. No echo. I could hear everything my friends were saying from across the table. It's no fun to meet up with friends just to sit there and ask each other to repeat themselves over and over again. A group of 9 went for lunch yesterday. We discovered we were still required to use the very hard to use app ordering system. Of the 4 seniors in the group none of us would have been able to order. Luckily one of the younger members of the group figured it out. None of the older people will return until the app ordering system is removed. On top of that the wait person from the pizza business was rude. When our pizza came we said we were going to need forks and plates and she informed us "I can only carry so much!" Old church turned into German, Latin, hawaiian food plus a bakery and a catering service. Basically 5 restaurants in one kickin' place. Oh plus a beer/cider hall which is good size. I've ate at all the places and the food is great. I haven't had one bad experience here. Outdoor seating out back and in front. The outdoor seating in front is covered with heating. Back area is closed during the winter I believe. Oh how can I forgot about the whiskey lab great cocktails and whiskey. Pig and Turnip is some of the best food I've tasted in Eugene/Springfield! I felt absolutely intoxicated after lunch and I didn't even have any alcohol. My husband and I split the Bavarian Pretzel with Fondue. That's a lot of bang for your buck, right there! Delish!!! We also split the Rueben and the Doner Kebab between the two of us. All three things together was WAY too much food and we knew none of it would "keep" for leftovers so we just kept eating. YOU KNOW HOW IT IS!!! ....get me a bucket.... The Rueben was nothing special to look at but it was probably the best Rueben I've ever had. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The Doner Kebab with lamb was absolutely astounding. Messy, so you can't put it down..... The only reason for a 4 rating and not a 5 was that the sides weren't that great. But, I have to say, they were probably very authentic tasting. We just couldn't get into them. We had the German Potato Salad and the Braised Cabbage. If, er, WHEN we return, I'm going to get the sauerkraut as a side because it was SO good on the Rueben. The young lady behind the counter was wonderful, giving us samples and helping us to decide on what to get. All in all, a VERY positive experience! Great atmosphere and food. Exactly what Springfield is lacking! Loved the option for our group to order food from three different places. There was something everyone wanted. I had the sliders from the bbq place and my husband had the schnitzel sandwich from the German place. Both were great! We're excited to go back and try the Mexican food and cookie dough place. Seating was a little tough to find, but what can you expect on a busy Friday night. We were able to track down a high chair as well. read more

This is one of my favorite places in the Eugene/Springfield area. The building in and of itself is awesome, it is in an old church and there are some wonderful odes to the original purpose of the building. There's plenty of indoor/outdoor seating with dogs allowed on the patio (in the winter they tent it and bring heaters in, so you can still enjoy a meal out with your pup!). There's a great assortment of permanent food carts in addition to a large bar and a whiskey house. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Given it's in an old church though, why they didn't call it something like "first communion" or just plain old "church", and call the whiskey bar the "the confessional" is beyond me, those names seem perfect read more

Okay so this is one of my favorite places to grab a drink, and I frequent this location often. I always have great experiences with just one exception: there is one male bartender (he has a mustache and wears a single glove) who works in the Whiskey bar/Attic who is a very rude and unprofessional person. While going here with my friend, upon checking her drivers license he accused her of giving him a fake. My friend is 23 years old and told him it was her legit form of ID which he reluctantly accepted. He then served us our drinks. She got the Manhattan and after taking them to the beer hall and having a few sips realized that there were between eight and twelve dead FLYS in her drink!! We could not believe it. He remade the drink but offered no refund. We were dumbfounded. I wish wish wish I could give this place five stars. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I am new to Springfield and when I found Public House I felt a lot more at home here. The food options are amazing and delicious. The beer is sooo yummy, the staff are really upbeat and thoughtful. You can bring your dogs inside too if they are well-behaved. The whiskey bar is also so good with a lot of really creative cocktails. I always bring people that are visiting here because it is such a unique experience with a really great atmosphere. read more

I only went back because I was told you can order at the counter again. My first restaurant choice was closed on Tuesday. My second choice was only accepting online orders. My third choice was out of lobster and shrimp (my two choices). The fourth restaurant told me to go online or it would be a long wait. I waited. I then wanted some french fries and the only option was online so I tried to set up an account again. The screen froze up on me at just before the last step.
