She not only has great customer service , but is kind , thoughtful, and knowledgeable . I am thankful that I came to this facility, I will recommend this facility to all friends and family. Received excellent customer service from many of the employees at this location while I used their services to store my belongings here from Nov. - Dec. 2016. More specifically I was helped and assisted by Aiman, who helped make my transactions very smooth and seamless. She was helpful in pro-rating my unit and gave me lots of useful information about when I would need to check out of my unit in order to avoid overages. She was great! The facility asked me to do a review, so here it is. (I must admit it concerned me to see so many negative reviews. But so far, I have no complaints.) We needed a space for my daughter. She relocated and needing to store her things. Public Storage was running a great special at the time and the price was reasonable, much cheaper than other facilities. We rent an inside climate controlled space. The elevators always work. And there has been no problem with access. The hours are good for my whacky schedule. And the service has been great. The only issue I have is that it would be nice to have access to the dollies outside of regular office hours. But other than that, it has been great. read more

This review is basically only for the customer service, Dorothy is wonderful and extremely helpful, Aiman is very amicable and polite, Edwin is fairly new to me but he was nice overall their customer service is fast and great. 3 stars for the rent public storage charges, sure they real you in with lower rent rates but they don't tell you rent goes up every year I started paying $178 now I'm up to $311. I did however call their customer service and they were able to lower my rent by $60 and placed a hold on it returning to it's current rate in 6 months so 4 stars for that. read more

My wife and I recently needed to rent a storage space for awhile. Public Storage has a convienient website that let's you take a look at what is currrently available at each location. If you find what you need you can then reserve that space until you get there in person to make your first payment. It was easy to do. Plus, when you reserve online you get s discounted rate. Pretty neat. Shortly after getting offline, the facility called to confirm the reservation. We talked with a very pleasant lady named Aiman, who is the Property Manager. She thanked us for using their website and said she looked forward to meeting us. It was a short conversation, but Aiman left us with the feeling we had a friend waiting to greet us and our carload of boxes. And that's exactly the experience we had when we got there. Worst Customer Service I have ever received. Representatives are incredibly rude, interrupted all of my questions. I would not recommend this location to my enemies much less my family or friends. Araceli should be looking for a job that does not require any customer interaction because the fact that she hates her job is written all over her face. First let me say that initially I only needed storage for a couple months. But unfortunately its been a couple years. When I started it was $120 a month for 20×10. Each year the price goes up considerably. It is now $176 a month. Not happy about that. During these last 2 years, its almost been auctioned off due to hard times and being past due on the bill. They cut my lock, in which they left it inside. Guess they wanted to see what was in there. Then sent me an email that after their rounds one month they notice my unit did not have a lock and they used one of theirs. I was out of state at the time and once I got back to California, I had to buy a new lock, in which I wasn't happy about because that's $20 MORE dollars. The cut lock was very suspect to me. Nothing was missing that I know of. They should not have charged me for a new lock. read more

Moving out of Azusa so i got a temporary storage unit here. I went a day early of my reservation to get started on getting my unit and i was 'helped' by Sonia. My appt was at 3:30 and i walked in at 3:29. She just looked at me standing by the door and kept doing her thing. 2 mins later..Hi ill be right with you. Okayyyy. Right away you can see the attitude in her face. She took me to my storage and then tried to sell me a $20 lock. I told her no and she kept pushing and got me frustrated. I told her i wasnt gonna pay $20 for a lock. I drove to the Harbor Freight down the street and got the exact same lock for $5. Vicki helped me when i got back because Sonia was on her lunch in the back desk eating her taco bell and playing her phone super loud. I guess shes never heard of headphones. Vicki was super nice and helpful and she was the only reason i didnt drive away to another storage. The next day i drove in at 4:48 to drop off a fridge and some boxes and the gate wouldnt open. Of course Sonia comes out of the office as we're trying to open to gate and she doesnt even say anything. She sees that we cant open the gate and she walks away without a word. Inside Vicki tells us the gate stops working 15 mins before closing. So then i got stuck with the truck rental another day because of their stupid rules. Also they MAKE you buy an insurance plan for your storage unit because its pArT oF ThEiR PoLiCy, so get ready for that hidden fee. read more

For the last two months, I have contacted them to fix the lights outside my storage unit. They continually told me that they will fix it in the coming weeks. But they have not. We have a corner unit, and our light has been out for six months, we have asked several times to have it replaced. Since we are in the corner there are no other lights that can help us inside our unit. The first month it happened there was a worker walking by and we brought it to her attention, we came back two months later same problem and we let the front office know. So this is an update from the pass few times I've visited.... Right now I had 2 do a quick drop off that only took 2-3 mins. When I went 2 the office 2 return the key, the door was locked with no sign. I waited 4 atleast 15-20mins. The girl who returned said the other who was there must of forgotten 2 put the sign up. But this isn't the 1st time. This is the 2nd time it's happened and it's only when these girls are there. They are not very friendly. They can use some training on customer service. Got a storage over summer and Janette was really helpful assisting me with my first storage experience. Got a good unit from the front building and the facility was climate controlled, so my stuff didn't get dirty / damaged. Too bad I wasn't able to get a storage on the lower floor/s coz mine was on the third. They have elevators though, but still tiring lol insurance was optional too and the online account/payment was really convenient. read more

I went in on my lunch break and I was very stressed due to pressed time but Thalia and Hollee were very reassuring that we would get me out of there on time. DO NOT use this place. About 1 month after I moved my things in, someone cuts my lock off. The office lady just leaves a voicemail saying to call her- doesn't say why. So my unit is sitting there overnight unlocked. Next day I go in to pay my bill & they tell me what happened to the lock. If they would've said that in the voicemail I would've come immediately to lock it back up. Horrible customer service! & I'm talking about the manager. I called to find out info about paying my bill & she repeatedly cut me off & kept talking over me! After the 3rd time I finally had to talk over her & say "Would you let me finish a sentence??!" so she stopped interrupting me but then anything I asked about my bill she just kept saying "It's in your contract. Read your contract." As much as I hate to spend a Saturday afternoon moving my stuff, I'm going to rent another unit somewhere else & move my things. The units here themselves are ok. But the customer service here is ridiculously bad. read more

First of all I'm starting this at 5:48pm on a Wednesday I show up with one container to put in my storage unit when it's not even 6pm yet standing there telling me access is closed is one if their employees. I originally chose this location based off the yelp reviews and that it had a 9pm gate closing time because I tend to get off work late and don't have time to go before work now with these NEW hours they close the same time my job does so besides running errands all day on my day off I have to schedule in a time before the access hours close which are FALSELY ADVERTISED on here where it clearly states 6pm and on there website which still shows 9pm I already had to downgrade the a smaller unit because they raised there prices. Why 1 Star you ask well 1 workers aren't the friendliest 2 raised there prices 3 changed hours and 4 FALSELY ADVERTISED hours. The time is now 6:06pm by the time it took me to pull up yelp start typing drive home got home at 6:58pm and finish typing this I would have already dropped off my container and been home. read more

Was very disappointed that they did a "bait and switch" regarding the rate. I made a reservation and was told this would reserved the rate. When my son moved in, they charged him a higher rate. I called to complain and was told I had to talk to the district manager. I talked to the district manager and he refused to honor the rate I had been quoted. Update on 8/31/13 Another bad experience with them. When we originally chose Public Storage they told us that rent was prorated on the month you move out. We moved out at the beginning of the month and contacted them on the 11th of the month to ask why we were being charged for the full month. They said you had to talk to them before the 10th to get the rent prorated. We had never been told this and once again they refused to give us any credit. read more

This review is part 2, you can see the first one under my friends account, Dino B. In the 2 years I was there, I had the same small outside, drive-up unit the entire time. I always paid the storage fee on time and that included another $11/mo (due to the contractual agreement which states that I HAD to purchase it), renter's insurance. In the 2 years, my storage was increased from the original $86/mo to $96, then finally $106/mo plus $11 every month for mandatory insurance. In the 2 years I was there, I was never given any extra perks or bonuses to justify the increase. No service was added or discount ever given, but Public Storage still felt the need to raise my storage fee twice and was about to again for a third time. So I called them 3 months ago to inquire why my rate was increasing yet again, I mentioned how I always paid on time thru auto-pay, had insurance, and was an ideal renter, so why was I being appreciated by my rate being increased. If anything, I would think they would decrease it or give me some sort of ;once-a-year discount', but never an increase. here is what the friendly speaking 'customer support' woman said.in response to my inquiry. "Your contract states that we may increase your rate at our discretion, which is why we increased it before and will be increasing it again." I responded, "But by increasing my rate, you are not making me want to stay here and continue to pay the (now) $107/mo storage fees. If anything, this third increase in 2 years is making me want to end my business with you. Is there anything I can do to avoid having my rate raised?" the friendly speaking 'customer support' woman responded; "As a one time courtesy, we can keep your rate at the current amount for the next 3 months, then we will raise it" Needless to say, I took that offer and 3 months later, I have completely moved my stuff out of Public Storage. As a business professional, I always try to do things to retain customers, and raising their rates just because I can, has never been one of them. I was not sure I wanted to rent a storage again and when I decided to shop around I went there first and found that the same staff member Dorothy was there. She is delightful, efficient and patient. She was always so helpful when I did business with them before. Once I saw she was there I knew I did not need to shop in any other storage places. I took a space on that very same day. My husband and I came in today to do the paperwork for our storage unit. The place seems VERY secure. You get a passcode for the gate and you have to use it for the elevators. They have flats that you can use which is really nice. We got our unit in the climate controlled area and it is very clean and a nice temp. inside. You do have to purchase a lock and insurance (cheapest is $8.00 a month) The lady that showed us to our unit was new so we got a little lost but she was very nice, as was the other employees that helped us. If you need a storage unit for a great price, check them out. Their online deals seem to be cheaper then if you call in, so check online. read more

I rented a 5 by 5 foot indoor climate controlled unit from Jessica. She was very friendly and helpful. The property is very clean and bright which is important to me. The Public Storage website is very easy to manage my payments too.
