Their service is very good. They were very responsive, and were available when we needed them.

1st off, I didn't receive the text to check in until the next day. I was able to download the app and gain access to my storage none the less. I had a lock and was told if my lock fit, I would receive a refund. It wasn't until I was done loading my storage and went to lock it, that I noticed that the locks that are literally on 99% of the locks was not the same as the one for my storage. What are the chances? So I was not able to use the lock I purchased and was not able to receive a refund for the lock. I think that's really crazy that I was given a storage with a different lock. I was told only about 10 units have the lock I was given. That doesn't seem like it should be my problem. I should receive a refund because there no way I could have even guessed the locks would be different. read more

I highly recommend you NOT get a unit here. I purchased my unit in June 2022 at $195 a month. In December my rate was increased to $256. I was upset but didn't want to deal with the hassle of moving, so I stayed. Today (July 31,2023) I was informed that my rate would increase AGAIN now bringing me to a total monthly payment of $309. I called to ask them if this is something that is going to continue to happen to me and they said yes. In fact, they said they do a rate review every six months and they compare it to the units in the area and will raise the cost to match. Absolutely and utterly ridiculous. They lost a customer!! And I recommend you don't get a unit with them if you don't want to get a random rate increase after you thought you locked in a price. I'm so upset! read more

if i could give a negative one star i would... i've noticed they have a rat problem when i brought to their attention she told there was an infestation and there is nothing that could be done. we are now waiting for corporate to get back with us... i absolutely would not refer anyone to place your valuables in this facility. read more

They keep raising the rent continuously, like EVERY 2-3 months!!! I've been here for 6 YEARS and my rate goes up TWICE A YEAR!!! Harriet is the ONLY REASON I'm still here because she renegotiated my rate last year but before the year came in, they went up 20.00 AGAIN so I have to get another storage facility soon!!! I can't keep paying these RATES every 3 months and after reading these HORRIBLE REVIEWS, if Harriet LEAVES or I can't get her to renegotiate my rate again, I GOTTA GO, even if it's CLOSE to my home!!! Sometimes you just need a 10x10 box to hold your stuff. Well, I don't. My roommate does. Luckily, it's right at the end of the block because it seems as soon something goes into storage he needs it again. They have pretty decent hours, and the code to open the gate is uber-long.. so that's a good first line of defense. One thing I do wonder (I guess I could ask someone who works here), if you don't leave by 9pm are you trapped on the inside? read more

Doors are rotten at the bottom. Management is poor and unprofessional. Trash flowing around on the grounds. Doors are always locked and they rarely answer the phone, but will in fact charge you a hefty late fee, even if they aren't available during store hours to answer the phone. I am inclined to agree with the other reviewers who say beware of this corporation. I was enticed into renting a larger space at an attractive rate, which was the same as renting a smaller area. Now, after being in the space only three months, the vultures are increasing the rate 25%. They appear to be scam artists in love with auctioning off other people's property. They lock you in then try to price you out of your belongings. Then you can't get anyone on the phone to question. Go to the office, it's unattended. Beware people! read more

DO NOT use this storage facility! After reserving space and having several conversations with David prior to traveling three hours to Richmond, as well as having them call ME one day prior to confirm our reservation, we arrived and they had 'deleted' our reservation by 'accident'. At which point they tried to tell us there were other units but we couldn't receive the deal they had originally offered on the website. It was a classic case of Bait and switch!. And they were completely unaffected by our frustration and did not try to accommodate us at all. Do not go there if you want the slightest resemblance of customer service. We will NEVER use Public Storage. They do not know how to run a business. We ended up calling around to find a last minute storage unit and ended up with RVA Storage. They were WONDERFUL!!! Worst storage facility ever. In 5 months my rate has been raised 3 times. I'm not paying $50 a month for a 5x5 (not climate controlled unit) I signed a contract and yet my rate still continues to rise every other month. Good luck finding someone to talk to if you need help. As soon as I get the opportunity, I'm getting my stuff out and taking it elsewhere. Very disappointed. On, and the units are ver insecure. With a good jerk, you can open any unit. Very flimsy doors. read more

Second time using this particular storage location. I come back because of the customer service. Ms. Carolyn make the process very smooth.

We had to move out of state and have some of our things stored here. They know we are out of state and take advantage of that situation and raise our rates any chance they get. Our rate started out at $135 its now $225 . They think we are at their mercy but wrong, we have planned a special trip just to relocate our things to a honest facility that will not rip you off! This location never answers the phone or returns any messages left EVER.. called corporate number the best they could do was give us a $20 a month discount for 90 days and we have had our things there 4 years never missed a payment I guess good loyal customers do not matter. We will not ne recommending them to anyone but warning everyone in every STATE not to use them. Horrible service just disgusted read more
