    Fire extinguisher on every floor

Had an emergency and needed to move my stuff to storage. Called in the morning and was signed up and had my keys a hour later. Super quick turn around time. I got a 10x10 unit which was a little bit bigger than what I actually needed based off of what the website provided me. Nevertheless it wasn't a big price difference. Fairly simple process to move in. There are a handful of elevators (none too big so you'll do a couple of trips). The unit was generally clean but wouldn't hurt if you do another sweep especially if you gave things you don't want stained or to get dusty. Solid value for a month or two. About 200 dollars a month. I think it'll start to push my budget if I had to have it for more than that. Your access code is how you get in and out of the property, the building, the doors, and access the elevators. Only bathroom is gender neutral and located by the gate entrance. The building is labeled kinda weird and so you can easily end up on the farthest side of the building you're supposed to be in. And when you're inside the numbers can make you second guess yourself. Find the map by the elevator and that will be your best friend.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I need to step up to a larger storage and we had that handle in minutes. The place is always clean and well it. And I believe the value is good too for the 5x10 I rent is comparable if not below storage pricing elsewhere

Units okay minus the fact that it's 1/4" drywall separating each unit from each other. Thank god they have 1 camera per hallway

the real review. unit is okay. security system is okay. price is pretty fair. property entrance = f****d the road is riddled with potholes and asphalted over railroad tracks etc. it's so bad it's laughable. biggest issue: there is rarely anybody, any-one-single-person on the property to talk to. they have a bad habit of leaving with office an hour before closing, with a "be back at 4:55pm" sign on the window when they close at 5. drove 10 hours to be there before closing and pulled up 45min early, had to wait in this crack alley with all of my valuables, guns, watches, guitars in the back of my truck for 40min just to have the dude come back and tell me "oh we are closed, i just came back to clock out, but you can do it all thru the app". are you effin kidding me?! what are you here for?! call 24hr customer service numbers, its the same lady for all 3 lines, speaking broken english, able to do nothing for me except tell me "download the app" then, the fun begins! the app was down for maintenance of some sort for 2more hours. at 7:20pm after waiting 2 hours + 40 min + calling 3 different numbers, i finally got the gate code! *** this is all with a prepaid reservation *** well at least the lcd screen on the keypad was burnt out so i couldn't see the numbers i entered, nor where it said "press * to begin"! we live in a time of broken systems and zero accountability across the board and it's sickening. better off asking a friend who has a big garage if you can rent a 5x5 space from him for $100/mth to avoid this horsesh*t.

Just got to tell you Heather try's to act cool for business but mean like her other co workers there. As for David (HR) that called at 540 and calls back after 6 to ask in a rudely manner once my girlfriend answered the call hands down sounded horrible on the phone to hear that we were there longer than usual (never told from any staff there before) and I explain my part he had no care for my take in the situation in the storage unit but to tell me I have 24 hours or until the end of the month to take all my stuff out. I was friendly on the phone with nothing to do I said the end of the month if not I won't get it and it will be toss out. We were there to feel secure like everyone else there and store items but there some sneaky leak to tell me I didn't put it on right and change it and to get a call from that company in a aggressive manner on such a bad way. I have no clue on things that his public storage staff say about us (even customers who just need to store items) you can't be there longer than needed on accident behalf on they didn't inform me and my girlfriend anything on rules and regulations not even the time saying they did but didn't. So very much unappreciated work on there side to the public that rent there units. Be cool with money your spending on units there's is corrupt charging extra on my bill as well. Found a better spot that explain the policy and way of things for storage units.

Lock taken out. Office said that is the same way they would remove it.

I was informed by Kettner Storage that my lock was allegedly loose, and without my authorization, they placed their own lock on my unit. While I understand security protocols are important, the way the situation was handled afterward was incredibly disappointing and unnecessarily difficult. I live far from the facility, and with the cost of gas and time, I sent my assistant to simply check the unit. Despite calling from the phone number listed on my account -- the same number they have previously used to contact me regarding payments and account information -- my assistant was denied access because they refused to provide the key to the lock THEY placed on my unit. After multiple calls with the supervisor, confirming my identity over the phone, acknowledging who I was, and having my account information in front of them, they still insisted I personally drive down with my physical ID to access my own belongings. What made this more frustrating was being told "not to take it personally," when the reality is that this caused a very personal inconvenience involving my time, travel, expenses, and stress. There were many reasonable solutions that could have been offered: * Allowing me to email a copy of my ID for verification * Adding my assistant temporarily to the account * Verifying identity through the account phone number and information already on file Instead, I was met with inflexibility and what I believe was dishonesty. I was later told that on April 16th I had allegedly been informed that I would need to appear in person with ID to access the unit. That conversation never happened. The discussion on that date was regarding adding my card to autopay. For people who store important belongings -- especially if you travel frequently, live far away, or may need emergency access through a trusted assistant or family member -- this is something to seriously consider. If a lock issue occurs and you cannot physically appear immediately, accessing your own belongings may become extremely difficult. Storage companies should not only provide security, but also professionalism, honesty, hospitality, and practical solutions for their customers. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I truly wish I could leave zero stars, but one will have to do.

This has proven to be a professional moving company that is honest and has fair prices. I've moved…read morewith them twice in the past three years and both times I've been pleased with their services. I have read that a few people on yelp have had bad experiences with them, but that seems to be the minority. From what I've read there are very specific instances of people being upset about broken items and the replacement process or results not up to par with the customers expectations. But from what I've experienced the movers both times were very careful with my items and thorough in wrapping all my furniture in padding blankets and protecting my old and new house with flooring and wall covers. I'm not discounting other people's experiences or saying that they didn't happen, I just think that these were one off cases. For a moving company with so many satisfied customers and a long track history in the local area they have very competitive prices. I did market research prior to both moves and found the majority of moving companies charge at least $10 or more an hour per mover. So for a move that requires three movers at $10 an hour each, that's a $30 savings each hour. And each of my moves have taken at least six hours, that's at least $180 savings right there. Now this math doesn't take into account extra fees that each moving company seem to have, such as fuel and driving time, but out of all the moving companies I called all of those fees were very similar and perhaps standardized? Between the reviews I read on yelp and the pricing research I've done with each move, this company won my bid twice.

WARNING BAIT AND SWITCH !…read more Back in February, I went to go rent a unit at this location of Moreno Storage for $34 a month for a 4 x 5' unit. I have no issues until recently. I received the letter that you can see attached that they were going to increase my cost per month for this unit to $101 a month. I completely understand that they may have the legal right to do this but then I think everyone should know about it as I'm trying to let people know that if you rent from them and even a short period of three months, they'll play the bait and Switch game. If that increased my rent by $30 a month I would've been upset but not enraged. In this world, you should be building trust amongst customers, but when you do things like this, how can they trust you or am I just collateral damage that doesn't matter to you? Every single one of their customers should know this, especially if you're getting a unit that you think is at a good price, but the real reason is they're gonna triple it and say that that's the market rate which by the way I checked and that's not the market rate for a 4 x 5Ft anywhere in San Diego. I've included another image which is a screenshot from A1 Storage another provider in the area and as you can see from the image there is a promotional rate. It's states that actually mine never stated that with Marina and their normal cost for a 7 x 5foot unit is $98. That's the market rate and they're saying the market rate is $101 for a 4 x 5 to me this is price gouging. I'm glad Yelp doesn't remove reviews like Google does because they removed my last review about them on Google, which is what they do to all bad reviews so they can try to keep a good standing shame on Google for that.

After checking reviews for other storage facilities, I noticed that rent increases do seem to be a pretty common practice. At the same time, the reviews for this particular facility are substantially poorer than any other facility nearby. And if you price compare, even the listed prices on their website are noticeably more expensive compared to many other facilities in the area. As such, I did the math, and it will be worth it for me to find another facility and pay the $400 or so to hire movers. I will be terminating my lease before my rent jumps up again next month. 4/22/25 Update: I called the number per the comment they left below, spoke to Anthony, and he said he could lower the rent from $252 per month to $235 per month for the next year. It's still a jump from the $218 I've been paying for the past year, but I decided to take it. He offered no written confirmation, though, so I I guess we'll see what happens when my next billing date rolls around ...
