Too many homeless people smoking in the elevator or on the floors after the office is closed. Sometimes the smell of weed or cigarette smoke is overwhelming. Too bad there are no cameras in the elevator or floors but then my rent will go up again so here I stay. read more

I found them online and loved that they had some awesome specials... first month free! I booked, they kept in contact via text and eMail to remind me of my start date, and everything was so easy. The location was easy to find, ample parking and easy elevator access to load/unload. I opted for climate controlled and am very happy with the whole thing. Pro tip: check on on yelp for a free lock (w/ three keys!). You'll need a special lock for this unit anyway. read more

Walked me around from unit to unit (more than once) while I called my family on FaceTime to help select my storage unit. She also helped me out in my juggling act holding various units and arranging my payments to start on my move-in date. And she even ensured I got a discount! I previously stored at a different A-1, and there is no comparison to the level of service at this location. I didn't know storage crews could be so friendly, organized, and welcoming. I have had 2 10X10 units here since Aug 2020. I Just received notice of a 10% increase for one of them. I suspect another will be coming shortly for the other. I'm not allowed to raise the rent on tentants in my rental property during the year but these guys can do it within a few months. What the hell? I am NOT happy about an increase so soon after renting and will be looking for alternative options ASAP. read more

Friendliest and well informed staff, super helpful, I love them. I had a unit here for almost a year and everything was great until about a week or two before I closed my unit. I went there one morning and there were these guys working out of their basement unit with guns and ammunition and wires and things that made me feel uncomfortable. It also seemed like they were selling stuff. I told the staff and they told me he was military, which I'm sure they shouldn't have told me. I don't care if they are military I wish I was informed there were guns and maybe explosives in the unit next to mine.  A couple days before I closed out my unit I noticed there was this unit which had apparently been broken into. I was moving things out throughout the day and noticed no one had done anything. By the time I went back for my last move before 10PM the unit was still not fixed. Door lock was tampered with and the person's belongings were sitting right there, by just looking in I could see checkbooks, personal belonging, really valuable stuff. I called their 800 number because by then the office was closed. When I went back the next morning that unit was closed and locked. The almost year I was there I noticed there were no security cameras in the building, only outside. I would spend almost 5+ hours there at a time and never once saw staff checking on anything. This location isn't the safest due to pure location so I wish security was more enforced. Facilities are greatly maintained btw. Once again I love the staff but was disappointed by the security. I was sad I had to close my unit, not due to issues, but I do hope they work on things. read more

Alexis even let me hold the space I was interested in for a short time(days). Here's the facts- IT IS STILL THE ONLY PLACE DESERVING 5 STARS Since renting here, I've had several visits to other storage facilities in this area. For comparison, None are as clean, safe, well- managed as A-1, so I want to extend a warm welcome to Leo and Jeffrey (see photo). Ok, like I've said already, I have stored stuff off & on for 25+ years, and I feel qualified to say that A-1 is the best facility for several reasons. The premises are clean and safe, with easy access to large flat-bed carts for moving in your boxes, furniture, bric-a-brac, sports equipment, etc. There's minimal dust and I've never ever seen any bugs or critters. They have extended hours for early or late access, security systems, and your insurance company will appreciate their excellent reputation. The parking lot can get very busy in front of the office, especially on weekend moving days. There's extra room along the curb, and you can also call to see how busy the lot is. The parking, unloading area at Building B is bigger and is convenient for those renting space in the back building. I'm not gonna poke fun at my friends who have paid higher rental fees at nearby dirty icky places. But---why? Maybe their stuff is so junky they don't care about the dust, bugs, and odd people loitering around. I do care about parking in a safe atmosphere, and accessing my unit with well- protected entry codes, cameras, and they require flush fit cylinder locks for the safety of your precious belongings. Totally glamorous. Seriously, way too shiny and pretty to be a storage place. Easy access off the freeway, ridiculously helpful staff that is always cordial when I ask them to come down to the basement and troubleshoot my malfunctioning storage unit door (it's usually my brain and motor skills that are the problem). Parking is fine with multiple loading docks, though if you've got a few major moves going on at once, it can be tight. They even have temperature controlled storage units for when your crap prefers to chill at a cool 70°F. Mmm, chilled crap. Like I said...glamorous. read more
