Train station restaurants in Westchester have about the same success rate as cats in a dog show, bikes in a drag race, knives in a gun fight... Before Pubstreet came alone, dining at the train stop restaurant was borderline taboo. Pub street is classic. It has the vibe that makes you order an extra beer with those fries. The staff is professional, and the food is consistent. I have had the burger at least 20 times, never been disappointed. I'll typically start out with the buffalo wings, they are not Duffs Famous, but they are the best around here; that is for sure. All together, Pub Street is the local joint you can depend on. They have a decent size bar with a wide variety of menu options. Not too many where you feel like your eating at a damn Apple Bees, but just enough to find something for your newly vegan sister and her gluten free friend. read more

We were hopeful for this place based on reviews, but overall experience was just satisfactory. Overall setting is well placed in Pleasantville although parking a bit of a challenge on the weekend - understandable. We did not have a reservation, but were seated quickly outside. We chose outside cause it was faster and inside was actually quite cool with AC. The menu has a good variety with several pub like options. We started with oysters; these were quite tasty and good sized. We did get an order of the grilled oysters; although delicious as well, the oysters were significantly smaller and the dish over priced. Two of us got the fried chicken sandwich. Definitely a good pick and chicken was packed on and quite crispy, not too oily. An order of the fish tacos was also selected. She thought overall the entree was a bit bland; she would have liked a bit more of the chipotle aioli sauce. The dish, however, was filling. There is also a cocktail menu with several beer selections. The service was courteous, but the wait time after apps was quite long. I realize it's a Saturday, but our entrees were not masterchef concoctions. Not sure if eating outside made the difference. I would return just to try out the bar inside. But overall, this place seemed a bit pricey for bar food and longer dinner than expected. read more

Oh, where do we begin? We ordered the burger, wings, hanger steak, and fried chicken sandwich. The fried chicken sandwich was perfection. The sriracha mayo was delicious, the chicken was moist inside and crunchy outside, and the matchstick fries were addictive. The wings were "indescribably delicious" (we asked for the recipe- and no, they did not share it sorry). The steak had a great spice to it, and was exactly as we hoped it would be. The burger was "juicy and just right". French Chardonnay was worth a second glass. The short version: Bring an extra stomach. We will most definitely be back! read more

We stopped by for Happy Hour. Dollar oysters were as good as any we've ever had. The tuna tartare was amazing and easily enough for two to share. We also tried oyster sliders and the wedge salad. Everything was fresh, all served at the right temps. Beer and wine selection was OK. Highly recommend. UPDATE TO REVIEW: We went for the happy hour but there were no seats at the bar. Rather than allow us to sit at a table and have a happy hour drink while waiting for a spot to open up, they were happy to see us leave. Very disappointing and not good customer service. read more

Decided to check this place out as I am a fan of Village Social and wanted to mix it up (woah, Pleasantville instead of Mount Kisco...you mean I drove for 10 mins instead of 5? Wow!) Anyway - Pubstreet did not disappoint. Ordered the mussels after seeing them on the 'gram, I'll confess it, the pic made me hungry. Also ordered a mix of oysters, wellfleets were of course great, although they were out of our favorite kumamotos. Somehow I survived. Split tuna tartare and the chicken sandwich. I have to give a kudos because the tuna tartare was similar to the one at VS, but not the exact same despite being the same dish offered at two places owned by the same people. I appreciate that...it's the little things. Service was great, enjoyed a table outside, and no wait on a Saturday night. Also I saw exactly ZERO children in the establishment. In Westchester that's like catching a white whale. I'm sorry, procreators, it's nothing personal! We will be coming back for sure - a great addition to the rotation. We went for Mother's Day so it was obviously very crowded. We had a reservation and we were seated right away. The drink menu had some interesting cocktails, one of which I tried and enjoyed. Apps were ordered with the standout being Tuna Tartare but the Yuca Fries (special) were a close second. Mains at the table included a pasta dish, fish tacos and french toast with the Fish Tacos winning best in show. Dessert was a banana brulee something was might be on my list of best things I've ever had for dessert. Given the crowd, service was efficient although dessert did take a long time to come out. This was our first time here and we were very impressed. They are very COVID aware and socially distant, we sat at the bar. There was one other couple definitely 6' away with plexi shades between us and the bartender. We ordered beers and they were served very cold and chilled glasses. Oysters were great but the spring rolls were a bit undercooked which made them gummy. Steak entree was great and cooked to temp., the lobster roll was good but next time I would ask for either/or not both mayo and butter. It made the roll soggy. These are one of those restaurants that you were glad to come across. You either have the option of dining indoors or outdoors and I had the pleasure of dining outdoors. The inside of the restaurant is pleasant and the interior is nicely set up. The service here was outstanding. The waiters and waitresses treat you well with respect and make sure everything is okay. I ordered the fish and chips along with the fish tacos. The fish batter was really tasty and the fish was perfectly flaky. The chips were also nice and crisp and everything went really well with the tarter sauce. The tacos were very good as well. The fish was perfectly cooked and fried. Estimating this is my third dinner here and it outshone all of my previous visits. Random Friday night after a great movie at The Burns without a res. YES! table available due to middle of summer slowdown and YES they now have sidewalk seating rights. Whoever this Chef is he/she is a true gem. How important is restaurant management? Answer -- critical. We went to PubStreet on the first Saturday it was open. Dining room is not large and the wait was longer than we were told but we went to the bar to have a drink. Unfortunately, the bar set up is a bit small and we had trouble getting served, this is when Brian the manager stepped in realizing what was going on, great perception by him. He stepped in a took care of us giving us drinks and a few appetizer dishes on the house while we waited. He totally diffused what could have been a really difficult situation and our mood went from angry to..............hey, well done, let's see how the food is? Well, every damn dish we had was outstanding. Brussel sprouts!! First let me say I only ordered my meal to go so I can't comment on the service other than my interaction with the bartender who took my order and sat me at the bar. He was accommodating and professional, so far so good. I ordered the Classic Lobster Roll (which came with fries). The Lobster Roll was composed of Lobster pieces, a buttered roll, mayonnaise & chives. My specific lobster roll not only also came with a piece of shell I almost swallowed, but to top it off was also undercooked. Completely inedible, disappointed was an understatement. As far as the fries, they could have been greasier, no seasoning whatsoever. Again disappointing. Good food, good drinks, higher prices. This place is new, the interior is simple but elegant. I would definitely go back. I had the spicy blood orange margarita and the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich included fries and was a reasonable $14. The margarita on the other hand was $12, seems a little odd one drink would be about the same as an entree. We shared the tuna tartare and pork belly sliders as appetizers, and I had the reuben as an entree. I would recommend all three but particularly the pork belly sliders. My boyfriend and I went to Pubstreet for lunch after the Saturday farmers market, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cool and clean, and the service was great. My boyfriend got two oysters, and he said they were really good, not too briny, and they tasted fresh. I got the fish sandwich, and he got the fish tacos, and both were wonderful: crispy, fresh, and the perfect portions. My sandwich had a good batter to fish ratio, and was prepared on a nice soft bun. The fries are definitely not to be missed: super skinny, and they have a nice crunch to them. Overall, a great place for lunch, wonderful food, and though a bit more expensive than what I would consider an average lunch, it pays off in the fresh ingredients. read more
